Pros:

I am a woman in my late 20's and have developed adult acne. this product cleared my acne after 1+ month. Best regime line I have tried.

Cons:

somewhat expensive but it delivered for me

You must use the entire 3 step regime plus the mask occasionally. If you only use the cleanser, it may make your problem worse. I only used the cleanser for 1 year with no reduction in my acne then I switched to the 3 step regime and now I am clear. Consistency and following directions is the key.

Pros:

it had a good advertising campaign

Cons:

it doesn't work. i switched to this from using acne free, i thought it would work the same if not better but it actually made my skin worse. my spots appeared, then those spots turned really dark.

don't buy proactiv!!!!! ive been using it day and night, and the cleanser for 1 and a half minutes, still no success.

Pros:

When you first get it, it works. and the refining mask is nice.

Cons:

After about a week or two of use, it just stops working and makes your acne worse. Also, if it does work for you and you miss a day or two - you break out horribly.

Basically, ProActive is expensive and inaffective. I know many people who used it other than myself and all the cons happened to them too. It's a waste of money.

Pros:

none that I noticed

Cons:

Dried out skin, wasted time applying and sitting around for it to dry, DIDN'T WORK, made my skin oily.. (to clarify it would first make my skin dry white and peely, then later in the day my skin would become shiny and oily)

Garbage, Waste of Money and Infomercials. This stuff is meant for the lucky few that have 1 or 2 pimples. For the ones who pray for it to act as there miracle treatment, all it does is waste the months. Do yourself a favor and just mark Pro-Cr*p-tive to the list of cleansers that DON'T work. I'm sorry to sound harsh, but there claims of being amazing, are lies. It's expencive and it simply dosn't work. It didn't work for me, and I guarantee it won't satisfy you! Just being unbaised..

Pros:

None.

Cons:

I broke out alot more, also found my skin would often be extreemly dry after washing.

I would not buy it again. It works for people who get 1-2 pimples, but so does many cheaper brands.

Pros:

ok at first, i think i had moderate acne back then and the first time i used it.. it kinda worked out and but then i bought another then it stopped working

Cons:

i've been using it fro 6 moths now and i've ask their services and they couldn't help me.. and it really didnt do any good

proactive sucks... its expensive here in the philippines and it doesnt do sh*t

Pros:

It worked at the beginning.

Cons:

After using it for awhile, it just stopped working. When I went off the product, my skin got better, and now it is just the same annoying blemished skin that I turned to Proactiv to get better.

Doesn't work.

Pros:

Improves skin immediately, and stays clear for a few weeks.

Cons:

Very harsh on skin, not for sensitive skin, does NOT help with female monthly hormonal acne.

I bought this after having a bad skin reaction from going off of the birth control pill. At first I thought it was a miracle potion--my skin was completely clear within 3 days of the first use. However, that beautiful skin only lasted 3 weeks, after which I developed folliculitis and cystic acne, which has left scars. It also has NO effect on hormonal acne that comes with a woman's monthly visitor. The Benzoyl Peroxide is just too harsh for those with sensitive skin, even with only a small amount used just once a day. Overall, if you currently have light to moderate acne, I wouldn't recommend this product (especially if you have sensitive skin) because it turned my moderate acne into severe, scarring acne. Thanks, ProActiv!

Pros:

It really helped with my acne. I recieve compliments all the time, especially from people who have seen the before and after.

Cons:

I learned real fast that for me 3x a day was way to much, it dried my skin out really bad. I could hardly move my face without feeling uncomfortable and also I had some red patches with the dryness. you can not use it one day and stop the next.

Proactive worked for me when I used it once in the morning and once before bed. It did take a little while for me to figure out how many times a day to use it. You can not use it too much if you have sensitive skin like I do, but enough so you do see a difference. I had a good experience with this product, especially compared to a lot of other acne products.

Pros:

Worked for maybe a week?

Cons:

I have been using proactive for about 4 months now and with each month that has passed by my acne and breaking out has gotten to a point now that I am done with this product. My face is def. worse than it was before proactive.

Bottom line is this, if you are looking for an acne product that works, proactive is not the solution for you. I am 23 and I bought this product to touch up just a bit of small blemishes and it has made my face look like I am going through puberty with a major hormonal imbalance. I am now looking at going to a dermatologist to fix the damage that the proactive kit has had on my face. It is expensive, time consuming, it smells pretty bad, and the peroxide in the solution easily bleaches clothing. I wouldn't waste my money on it if I were you, even if you could find about 100 reviews that said it works...
