Pros:

it makes you face feel clean and soft aftar washing it

Cons:

it breaks you out BAD!! and if you don't wash your face 1 night your face has like a trillion zits on it(ok over drmatic like 2 or 3 BUT THATS STILL ALOT!!)

my friend had been useing this and his skin was terrible before useing it now his face is clear, so i thought "well gee i think i'll try it" but... ok so when i baught it the lady said that your face is goin to break out in a couple days aftar useing it but it will clear up so i started useing it and about 1 week later my face is horrible and it hurts sooooooooooooo muchhh (i almost cryed how mad it hurt) but i spent like 65 dollars on it so i didn't want to stop useing it just yet and besides the lady said it was goin to clear up fast anyways sooooooo...i keep useing it 2 weeks later my face still hasn't cleared upand its even more painfull and ridiculously embarassing so i stoped useing it and started useing cetaphill(the best stuff on the planet ^-^ well for skin atleast) and drinking green tea and my face it clearing up sooooooo fast its ridiculous

Pros:

works well, cleared up moderate acne, easy to use and stick to routine

Cons:

can cause some drying

i wont go without this product. i love it and recommend it to many of my friends

Pros:

The cleanser is light and exfoliates well. It made it easier to get blackheads out of my skin. It made the pores on my cheeks smaller.

Cons:

It made my acne worse on the sides of my chin than it was before I started using the product. Made my skin extra dry.

I thought my skin was just stubborn, b/c the regular Proactive wasn't working and I was breaking out more. I switched to the Extra Strength, and I am currently miserable from that. My skin is so dry, I feel like it's going to split open. No matter how much moisturizer I use, it is just sucking it right up. I am having to hide my face from my friends and co-workers; I am so depressed over this. I have made a decision to STOP using this product and switch to Murad. I am going to try the Murad skin supplement pills and see if that helps bring my skin back to normal. I think from now on, just gentle cleansing and exfoliation is key. I don't recommend this product b/c the results are too unpredictable.

Pros:

for zero to no acne

Cons:

dont use if you have serious acne!!

It made mine worse. I used to have serious acne but i used a line called pca skin care. It cleared right up and u could never tell i had acne.

Pros:

it really cleared my skin. sure, there are occasionally bumps here and there, but i believe that if you will be religious enough to stick by the regimen, it will all turn for the better. up to now, i'm still thankful for the miracle it has performed-

Cons:

i super hate the drying, itching, flaking, and the price.

just stick by the instructions and adjust to your own as you go. if your skin is sensitive just like mine, be very slow in the amount because the skin takes time to adjust. don't lose hope! i'm still loving the product despite the cons! nothing's perfect anyway, just be patient and it will be worth it in the end. Ü

Dried my face out and made acne worse, also made my face very sensitive

i've tried everything, the astringent cleansers from wal mart in all honesty work better than the pro activ. It is NOT worth the money.

Pros:

Dries your sh*t out.

Cons:

Doesn't work too well. Constant applications and I still have acne. Not something I'd recommend. Try getting a tan and some air instead.

The fact that it doesn't work.

It didn't make my acne better or worse. It just maintained my acne. I wouldn't recommend this to people with real acne. It's for the occasional pimple.

Cons:

makes acne worse

Proactive contains an active ingredient called benzoyl peroxide. This ingredient does temporarily clear your skin but in the long run, it dries up your skin, clogs your pores, and makes your acne worse than before you started using the product! Try searching for a natural method in clearing up your acne instead.

Pros:

cleanser has the beads that exfoliate
toner is nice, you can see the dirt coming off your face

Cons:

worked only for a while for me

I had mild acne with a few zits here and there before i used proactiv.I used proactiv for about 2 years. The first year worked wonders and I rarely got zits. Then in the 2nd year it seemed to stop working. I am on the regimen right now and it's great, my face is clear after a month. I would only use proactiv once a day so it would last a long time, maybe a year for a 2 month supply which was good. I also use the regimen once a day and it lasts about the same.
