Pros:

It cleared up my acne quite a bit.. reduced existing pimples.

Cons:

i get little breakouts, but it clears them up within a couple of days. it dries out my skin a lot, so i can't use step three and i can only use the scrub once a day.

it isn't all that it is cracked up to be. i havn't treid a lot of acne treatments so i couldn't compare it to any other products. it is expensive and doesn't work all that great (on my skin type which is oily-normal). but some people swear by it. it works awesomely on my cousin who is a model and on a lot of my friends. i think you have to try it to see because on some people it works like no other and on others it doesn't do anything. if it would work on you, it would definatly be worth it!

Pros:

Clears skin, skin feels smooth.

Cons:

Skin sometimes dry, bleaches towels, etc. Nothing serious.

I have never commented on any acne product before, yet I have had acne since I was in middle school (I am now in college). This is the only product that has ever worked for me better than anything else. My mistake was stopping use of it when my skin was the best it had been in awhile because of the cost... but my face ended up breaking out bad, which it hadn't done in a long time. So I am now back on it, and honestly it is worth the amount... to feel confident with your skin. I have been using it for a few weeks and my skin is not 100% clear, but getting better each day. I believe in this product as long as you use it properly and stick with it. Good luck to everyone suffering this condition.

Pros:

Lessens the number of blemishes.
Blemishes seem to heal faster.
Gives your skin a healthy glow and (smoothes)preps skin for foundation. (i love natural bare minerals - great for acne prone skin!)

Cons:

I do find that I need to use a little moisturizer when finished with the 3 Proactive steps. My favorite is Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizer. (NOT oil-free gel...even though my skin is naturally oily... regular works best!)

All in all, I find Proactive to be helpful in battling against my acne. Here is the routine which is working for me. This formula took me years to create and I have finally found a comfortable balance with my skin! IN THE MORNING: I use Proactive steps 1 & 2. If needed: dab a little Nutrogena's Spot Treatment to individual spots. Now use Proactive repairing lotion (step 3). Follow with a little of Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisurizer. Now u r ready for makeup! AT NIGHT: I use Clean and Clear cream cleanser, follow with a Stridex pad and then Clinique lotion. This saves on the amt. of expensive Proactive and also keeps my skin balanced. Basically, in a nut shell, I use Benzoyl Peroxide in the morning and salacylic acid at night. This has really worked for me! I am 26 and have been battling acne since I was 13. I am obsessed with perfect skin and this is what I found to give me the best results! Make sure to ease into new products and give them time!

Pros:

Works!!!

Cons:

Can be overdrying

My teenage son and i both use this product. I am 40 so i only use it every 2nd to third day but the texture of my skin has changed dramatically by usingit. He uses it every day and when we run out his skin plays up, so we know it is this product that is clearing his skin. I suggested to another friend about the product and her and her daughter are so pleased with it also. Just be careful if you have mature skin, don't use it every day and make sure you use a good moisturiser - i have just ordered theirs to see what that is like. If you want a clearer looking complexion, less lumps and bumps and to feel confident without makeup, this product will do it for you :)

Pros:

I had mild acne that started when I was 25. Proactiv made it manageable but not great. I had fewer pimples than before, but I still had blackheads on my nose and my skin was not smooth. It smelled clean.

Cons:

I used Proactiv for 2.5 years, and toward the end, I think it was making my skin look tired and dry. Even moisturizer didn't fully fix the problem. Also, it got expensive and I finally decided to just go to the derm.

It kept my acne manageable for a long time. By "manageable," I mean that 95% of the time, I had either no whiteheads or had them only one at a time, and never more than two at a time. My skin has recovered from looking tired and dry since I stopped using it. I definitely think it's worth a try, because you can always cancel your shipments any time you want.

Pros:

It works! You must follow the directions, though. Morning and night! DO NOT SLEEP WITH MAKE-UP ON!

Cons:

It dried my face out for the first two weeks I started it, so I bought their moisturizer (which didn't help.) Also, I stumbled upon this website trying to buy JUST a bottle if the renewing cleanser! How can I buy just that withou the 3 step system??

Follow Directions!!

Pros:

Proactive works very well. It kept my face clear and i only got pimples right befor ei get my period

Cons:

It made my skin really RED AND more pimples came and it looked horrible for like the first 2-3 months.

AT first I WAS going to give up on proactive because the first 2 to 3 moths it made my acne look so bad. but i kept on using proactive and it it became completely clear after like 5 moths. i hardly got any but i still got small little ones. It made me feel so confident. but i do believe it stops working, im not using anymore because mys kin has gotton too use to it so i eventually had to stop using it. i use duac gel and retin a micro now

Pros:

my skin hasn't been this clear or smooth in ages. i'm constantly petting my cheeks! for the most part, doesn't dry it out my skin. smells good, love the little exfoliating beads in cleanser, i feel cleaner than i would from a cream cleanser.

Cons:

took several months to really start working, still get the occasional huge zit, very pricey, three steps can be frustrating especially when you're short on time (but they're worth it)

my self-esteem has improved and i'm not embarrassed by my skin. i can actually look people in the eye now without worrying what they'll think of my acne. i tried pretty much everything but accutane... proactiv is definitely worth a shot. if you have very oily skin and moderate acne like i have, i would recommend using a benzoyl peroxide 10% cream at night instead of/before of the lotion.

Pros:

Gets rid of acne well if you use it every morning and every night.

Cons:

Can dry out skin and if you skip 1 session breakouts can happen easily. Does not get rid of scars quickly.

Good product if you remember to use it every morning and every night.
