Pros:

Works very well as long as you are very consistent.

Cons:

The price, but I'm willing to pay for it.

ProActive works!! You HAVE to use it EXACTLY as directed! I use it twice a day. I only use my ring and pinky fingers to apply the cleanser..go lightly on the skin and keep it moist!! Do not miss a step. I have found the the key to clear skin with this product is consistency!! I can't emphisize this enough. Don't stop because you don't see results right away..it's different for everyone..give it a chance. Oh, and the blotter sheets work great and so does the mattifying gel.

Pros:

My skin feels so soft and my pimples and pores are so much smaller. The cleansing brush is FANTASTIC as is the green tea moisturizer. I recommend them both when getting the three step solution. Free samples sent with order.

Cons:

The smell isn't great.
The size of the bottles cost so much and are travel sized which is ridiculous.

Proactiv works for me. But, make sure you follow the steps completely. Let step 2 dry completely before step 3. And make sure you have face moisturizer or you're skin will be really dry.

Pros:

-smells good
-it worked, but after awhile
-the shower bar is amazing
-good price compared to other products
-I really like the proactive sunblock (moisture too)
-the daily oil control actually works

Cons:

-makes my skin flaky, but a normal moisturizer can fix this (non proactive one because it doesn't work AT ALL)
-didn't fully work until 2-3 months
-didn't work until I used another proactive product with salicylic acid (the advanced daily oil control)
-doesn't usually work with only 3 basic products
-skin gets addicted
-burns sometimes

It might not work because there is no salicylic acid in the 3 basic products...so get the daily oil control even if you don't have oily skin.

Pros:

clears up acne.
face feels so clean and fresh.

Cons:

the 3-step system doesnt help with the scars itself.

TRY IT. i had severe acne and i dont mean like 3-4 pimples, i mean my entire cheeks and chin were packed of pimples. I was embarrased of going outside even with makeup. I had tried everything and nothing worked so i decided to give proactiv a shot. and im telling you, i've used it for about a month and 75% of my acne is GONE! im so happy i decided to buy it. The only thing left for me to get rid of is the scars. It's true though when they say that your face might break out when you stop using it, but $20 a month is a small amount to pay inorder to have a clean, fresh, pimple-free face.

Pros:

Clears up acne
Help prevent acne
Makes acne go away faster

Cons:

Dry patches
Flaking skin
Moisturizer not doing its job

I love this product. This helped my acne and help prevent it. Let me start with what skin type I have. I am a teenager. I have oily, acne prone skin with a little bit of sensitivity. This product works very well. It did what it was advertised and has some great add ons. The daily oil control works! This helped to give me less oil. The mask works wonders. I use it for 2 nights, and the fat red zit will be gone. A bad pint is that it dried my skin out. I cannot use the moisturizer in the oil control set I got because it does not do its job. It has SPF. It looks like, smells like and feels like a sunscreen. Second, this left me with dry, flaky patches all over my skin. I sometimes have just use a deep cleansing toner and a moisturizer and skip the system. The prices can also be deceiving though. Overall, I would recommend this product to people who have tried oth things and they have not wored for them. This is for people with ane people's, not for the occasional zit here and there.

Pros:

Quickly Noticed Results
Noticeable change in pores size
Softer Clearer Skin
Huge improvement on future blemish control..

Cons:

Finding Kiosk Locations to prevent the automatic renewal scenario

A little pricey
Run out of Toner prior to wash due to using it more.

I have heard about proactive for years and have always wanted to try but figured that as with most as seen on tv products it was only a gimmick. I am a professional performer and consistently have to use stage makeup that can cause breakouts by the end of a week of performances. In general I have very little acne but do have combination/slightly oily skin. I recently decided that I would give it a try after seeing the kiosk in a local mall (to prevent the automatic renewal horror stories) and decided to give it a try. Literally within 3 days the few minor blemishes had healed completely and my skins texture not only felt smoother but also blended some of the discoloration from previous blemishes. I write this only because I am truly impressed with the product and am grateful that I decided to give it a try. I do however suggest that the cleanser be used as directed for a full 2 minutes but only at night at the end of the day. Then use the toner in the mornings and for a quick refresher during the day. *The recommended dosage is what I believe and hear dries out the skin and cause some of the lack of improvement. I have already returned to purchase additional products including the oil free moisturizer which I use during the day and then The Repairing Treatment moisturizer at night time or when I am not out doing the strenuous activity. Lastly, to quickly aide in getting rid of a blemish here or that that pops up, utilize The Refining Mask but only a pea sized amount on the actual blemish/pimple and leave it on over night. Then the next morning simply rinse with water and only if necessary use the toner again. There is no reason to use the cleanser both morning and night other then to dry out your skin. Overall, I say give it a try... Obviously everything isn't for everybody, Nothing Ventured-Nothin Gained. All the best and Thank You Proactive!

Pros:

Kept my skin clear for a long time.

Cons:

Drying. Irritating. Renewing cleanser too harsh. Dyes clothes and sheets. Smells bad.

I used this product all throughout high school and I had perfect skin, but I also used it preemptively because I didn't really have acne to begin with. It has cleared my face, but also made it worse. I feel like maybe I developed a tolerance to benzoyl peroxide. It dried out my face and made me look ashy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. BOTTOM LINE: Too expensive and harsh. You can get the same products at the store 2.5% BP, a toner, and BP lotion for probably a fraction of the cost if you think it works for you.

Pros:

Reduces appearance of pores
Smooths and softens skin
Cleared acne

Cons:

Extremely drying - at first
Somewhat costly

The day I turned 28, I developed moderate-severe acne seemingly out of nowhere. Prior to this, birth control pills, cetaphil soap and cetaphil moisturizer had kept my skin almost completely clear (maybe one or two pimples right before my period). Suffice it to say, I was horrified when I started to wake up every morning with 3-4 new pimples. When I went home to visit family for Thanksgiving, I started to use my Mom's Proactive and ordered some for myself. After three days of using it generously day and night, my face looked like it had first degree burns. It was bright red, inflamed, dry/flaky, and STILL broken out. It hurt so bad that I stopped using it all together for a week and then resumed using it once a day when my face had settled down, and after another week increased to twice a day. Although, it no longer hurt, my face was still red and a bit dry for the first couple weeks, but I applied cetaphil moisturizer after the 3-step system and continued using it. I kept at it for a few more weeks, but continued to break out. Around week 5, it even looked like my breakouts were actually getting worse. I was losing hope, but had read on the website that it takes some people 6-8 weeks to see a difference. Sure enough, the first day of the 6th week, I woke up for the first time without any new pimples. By the end of the week, everything started to clear up and now I am in my 7th week and completely pimple free. So, while I have to agree with all the other reviewers that said Proactive left their skin irritated, inflamed, and still broken out, I have to argue that perhaps they simply need to ease into the system a bit more and exercise patience. That said, the system is not going to work for everyone, but if you are going to give it a go, really give it the full 6-8 weeks to work. Best of luck everyone!

Pros:

works quickly

Cons:

smells bad, repairing lotion looks oily

First of all, order off ebay (check descriptions for expiration dates) because [link removed] automatically bills you without notice. also, on ebay, you can order separate bottles. Okay, this didn't work for me until I used it in a way that suited my skin. I have sensitive skin, moderate acne. I apply everything to my face feather-lightly and don't leave products on for long. I'm gradually replacing the renewing cleanser (which annoys my skin) with a little soap (Bee and Flower, but I guess it doesn't matter). Then, I use the toner and a thin half finger line of repairing lotion. Twice a day, afternoon and night. Little breakouts occur from time to time (nothing is a cure) but for the most part my skin is soft and smooth. I'm thinking about trying Acne.org's stuff because I don't like proactiv's smell.
