Pros:

It cleared up my face instantly, and kept it that way for the time i was using it. I think it absolutely works.

Cons:

When i stop using it, i broke out.

I think thats its worth the money and i went without it for about 2 months and i immediately went back to it and i had all kinds of breakouts. I have been back on it for a week and i already see an EXTREME improvement. Its worth the investment.

Pros:

Works very well for me. I had acne problem since 10 years ago. I tried a bunch of brands even very expensive ones. None of them worked out. But Proactiv stopped my breakout ever since. I even recommended it to my friends. All positive feedback

I had some skin flakes and driness at the first beginning when I started to use Proactiv. But I kept using it, but only in less amount and frequency. After some time, the allergy went away and my skin started to fall in love with this product. That's what I told my freidns. Keep using it after your skin gets use to it. Then you will see the effect. I have been using it for 2 years.

Pros:

* the toner makes my skin look more even
* it smells good and gets rid of pimples faster than any other product I've tried
* leaves my skin feeling fresh all day

Cons:

* it can cause mild dryness but all you need is to put a non-comedogenic moisturizer over the refining lotion
* a little over-priced

Proactiv doesn't completely clear your skin right away but sticking with it for at least 3 weeks, you will definitely see a huge difference. So hang it there!!

Pros:

This is the only thing that has ever worked for my acne. Of all the medications, creams, soaps, and lotions, this is the only thing that has gotten rid of all the blemishes. For the first time in 11 years, my skin is almost completely clear.

Cons:

Quite expensive, and doesn't seem to work as well on blackheads.

Seems to be great for people with oily skin. The scrub makes your skin feel really smooth.

Pros:

Cleared up skin very quickly, my skin was clear so i decided to stop using it and I broke out the day after. It didn't help for that week, although I went to the Dermatologist and am now using amoxicilin as well as proactiv and It works very well.

Cons:

Can dry out skin if too much is used

Go to a dermatologist, but it is good for keeping skin clear once it is already.

Pros:

helps to clear up acne and get you in a good cleansing regimen.

Cons:

can be drying only if you do not moisturize! will need to use a long time because i have acne, and there is no cure...if bp works, you need to keep using it or else you will still break out even after your face is clear

I have used proactiv on and off for years. I went off it years ago because of the drying scaling effects it had on my skin.. Well, needless to say i've been suffering for years trying to find something else. I have clogged pores and cystic hormonal acne. I've tried it all and have been to dermatolgists as well. After finding dan's site and reading about the regimen i decided to try proactiv again. This time i am sure to use a makeup remover every night, I apply the proactiv gently and MOISTURIZE!!! OH! I also use dan's bp gel vs the repairing lotion.. the repairing lotion did not agree with my skin and caused even more clogged pores, which is why i think i stopped using proactiv years ago.. It has only been a few weeks, but my skin is getting so much better. It's not as oily during the day and i'm not experiencing the dryness. I use Cereve to remove my make up and i also use their moisturizer at night. I also use Olay sensitive sunscreen spf for daytime. hope this helps

Cons:

it will really just take some time to clear skin, but it really does clear skin...

my pimples were gone after about 3 weeks, and now i'm on my 4th month, my skin just keeps getting better...

Pros:

Clears skin in a few days, usually... I have mild acne, but ALOT of blackheads on my nose and chin.. :[ I don't know if Proactiv's going to work for it, but I'll try it longer..

Cons:

A few years ago I used proactiv, but stopped because it started to look like my cheeks were burned or something..sort of like sunburnt, but I never go outside. I eventually started using it again (a week ago), and I'm already seeing good results.

Don't listen to everyone who dogs this system, I happen to think if you want to try it, TRY IT. If your acne's bad, it can only get better.

Pros:

I've been on it since Feb 2007. It's now May 2007. It's cleared up most of my acne, and for the most part my skin feels softer and smoother than it's ever felt. Also shrunk the pores, and zits that have disappeared from using it haven't returned.

Cons:

Around period time, it makes my skin around the chin and sides areas very dry and peely, sometimes very peely. And sometimes it makes my forehead oily. Sometimes if too much is used, it has a slight burning sensation, which subsides after 20mins

It works. Bumps still come up from time to time, but the parts that have been cleared, have stayed clear, which I really liked. I did a lot of research online before ordering it, and so far am happy with the results. But I really want something natural - I know the job of the Benzoyl Peroxide is to fight the acne, but there has to be a natural alternative that does the same thing. I'm going to keep using it, but keep researching for a natural product. I like the fact that it had given my skin a very smooth and clean feeling, which I've never felt. But it can be very drying, especially around the chin and sides areas, and I don't like the occasional peeling side-effects that occur there as well. Verdict? I'm going to keep using it, but at the same time, I'm researching to find a natural product with better moisturization, that does the same thing as Proactiv. I hope to be using a more natural product by this time next year.

Pros:

It worked like a charm! Within days my face was gleaming, fresh and almost perfectly clear (I expect it'll get better). Wipes off blackheads and whiteheads as if they were not even there. Defenitely worth the money (though it is pricey) and the time.

Cons:

If you stop using it, you may expierience breakouts. For me, however, this is completely normal because if I didn't use it I'd be broken out all the time anyway.

Get it. Chances are, you're not going to find a comperable product very easily. Besides, what have you got to loose, anyway?
