Pros:

cleanser is a great exfoliator, product line leaves skin very smooth and even though it doesn't eleminate 100% of future breakouts, it does keep the ones you get from becoming huge red becons. Easy to use system.

Cons:

Dries my skin out to use full 3-step program twice a day. Price is a little steep. Too much toner! I have 1/2 of each bottle left over.

It really has made a difference in my skin since I've been using it. I break out badly during my cycle, and proactiv has been effective in curbing those breakouts. The few blemishes I've gotten recently have gone away within a few days without erupting into angry red spots. I'm able to leave the house without make-up, which is great. I can even wear my Bare Minerals make up without putting foundation on first to cover everything up. I am still tweaking with my own daily program, I can't use it twice a day because my skin gets very dry and itchy, but over all, I'd say I'm glad I bit the bullet and ordered.

Pros:

It works, but it's not a miracle to 100% clear skin, it made my skin softer, and much easier to control when a pimple popped up.

Cons:

The price, after you get the starter kit is high. The mask stinks when wahing it off and putting toner on.

I don't let my skin get dry with this. At night I follow the whole line. In the morning I wash my face, use the toner, and use a combination of things to help improve my skin. I use biore oil control, clean and clear dual action moisturizer which also fights pimples with salicylic acid, and I use neutrogena visibly even with spf 15, whis gets rid of dark spots from previous acne, and the proactiv lotion, I mit it up in my hand using a little, and put it on my face. OH MY GOSH!! this works, my skin has become smoother, dark spots are fading, I am fighting oil, and killing bacteria throughout my day with the BP and SA combo. Do what works for you, all these things mosturize as well, and I dont get that dry irratated skin like people complain about. YOU DO NOT NEED TO STICK WITH THE PLAN ONLY, sometimes making the plan fit you works best, and you will reap the benefits of it. Well good luck!!!

Pros:

The repairing lotion (BP) is really nice as is the cleanser (though the cleanser can be drying sometime)

Cons:

I don't like the toner--it feels oily

I've had moderate acne on different parts of my face for several years and had gone to the dermatologist (I was given 10% BP, Retina Micro, and antibiotics) but nothing worked. Two years ago I saw the infomercial for proactive and decided to try it. It worked at first, but I was inconsistent and impatient amd decided that it wasn't working. Then, for a while, I stopped using anything and my acne didn't get better or worse. Then I saw an infomercial for Murad, and of course was very excited and hopeful. When using Murad, I was VERY consistent, all steps twice a day. However, after about a month of using it, I developed new breakouts and I began to notice discoloration. Since the proactive repairing lotion (BP) is so nice, as is the Murad moisturizer, I've decided to use those products with Cetaphil.

Pros:

It didn't overdry my face like most acne treatments. The "free" mask made my skin very soft.

Cons:

Did not treat my skin problems.

This product didn't reduce the number of blemishes I have, but it didn't make them worse either. The 3 step process (cleanser, toner, and lotion) made my skin feel clean without drying, but didn't actually clear my skin. The product is also pretty expensive for the small amount that you get. I always ran out before my next shipment. It may work for some people, but not EVERYONE as suggested in the commercial. I have used Proactiv for three months with no noticable results.

Pros:

-clears up skin fast , along with brightening your pigmentation
-easy and quick to use

Cons:

can dry up skin a little, but along with a mosturizer there's no problem

People need to read the brochure that comes with this product. It specifically says that if your start to break out in a rash or any type of irritation occurs, " discontinue use " ....People, most of you who hate this product, it is because you are allergic to it !!! I love this product , it cleared up my face completely and I had moderate acne. Remember that your diet is so important and contributes to your skins complexion ! ...Eat healthy , exercise and use proactiv ! You'll have great results ! Sometimes I did notice a little bit of dry skin, so I used the toner only at night, which completely cured that little problem :) Good luck to everyone ! Proactiv is wonderful .

Pros:

It appears to be clering up both large pimples and the smaller zits.

Cons:

My skin is irritated and rough. I don't know if it's an alergic reaction or if I should hang in there to see if it will go away. maybe just sensitive.

It certainly works on blemishes. I've used it less than a week and I notice a difference. I'm going to check with my doctor to see if i'm allergic. I hope I can find a solution to the rough patchy spots. I really love how well its gotten rid of the breakouts. Can't hurt to try, watch out if you have sensitive skin though.

Pros:

proactiv is great. after one week of use, i saw my skin improving. the redness had faded and the bumps on my forehead were decreasing in size, barely visible.

Cons:

it worked for me, but it may not for someone else.
it depends on your skin type & the type of acne you have.

it works for some people. but that is no reason to criticize the product.

Pros:

It worked

Cons:

breakthrough breakouts(can't be helped)

The product works, for some people. For others you just have to try other things, everyone's skin is different. It works, however, nothing is perfect. Did you know if you are in the club and you get just the basic 3 pc system it's just 19.95 a month plus 5.95 s&h, not bad. There really are alot of people it has helped, I hear from them everyday. It's worth a try, you do have a 60 day money back guarantee.

Cons:

I had to stop after 1 week. My face literally hurt everytime I used it. It felt too harsh, and my acne became inflamed and my skin was red.

Not for sensitive skin.

Pros:

im in modelling so having acne was horrible. i have had acne continiously since i was 12 and finally, at 19, my skin feels amazingly smooth and clean. i felt the difference in the first week i used it. (only one or two pimples occasionally now)

Cons:

about 10 days after i started using it my skin got VERY dry and red(ive always had oily skin too so it was weird) so massage moiturizer in (dont be stingy) after the lotion (i use udder cream with the cow bottle) and you're good to go.

if you use the 3 step system as well as the refining mask, daily oil control and spot treatment you will see improvement within the first 3-4 days depending on your skin type. mine is very sesitive but i was determined to get rid of the damn burden once and for all so i put in alot of time and energy into using it as recommended. (the price is worth it if it works people!) !!MOISTURIZE BEFORE PUTTING ON MAKE-UP!!
