Pros:

Does a decent job of clearing up acne. I still get some acne, but mostly when I've slipped and not used the product for a few days. The scrub works better and feels better than any exfoliant I've tried.

Cons:

Bleaches out fabrics - towels, pillow cases, anything my face comes in contact with. I don't like the smell of benzoyl peroxide.

It works better than anything else I've tried, but it's not a miracle worker. If it were cheaper I wouldn't still be looking for another acne treatment, but because it is expensive, and because you have to join the "club" I can't get over the feeling I'm being ripped off. Come on Clearasil, can't you make a scrub like theirs? ;)

Pros:

Works at first

Cons:

Made my skin very oily and pores look larger

At first it was great, then my skin got very very dry, after taking a break a tried it again, and seemed to clear acne for the most part, but when i would get a pimple, it would be big, painful and under the skin, worse then I ever had before. It then made my face oily and pores look so much larger. I would not recommend this to anyone, its a waste of money, and hope that your acne will clear up!

Pros:

Smells good and your skin comes very smooth. It cleans very well.

Cons:

Reduces redness after usage but comes back. It cleans very well but doesn't quite prevent acné and get it away.

It depends on people. Nobody has the same skin so it can work for some people but not for others. Me it didn't work. I don't recomend it but if you want to give it a try, there can be hope.

Pros:

Seemed to reduce single pimple size overnight, antibacterial treatment

Cons:

Dried out skin, created irritation (lots of little bumps that weren't acne--which subsided when I stopped use, but left a million blackheads and open pores instead), not good for sensitive skin

I used this when a friend recommended it to me and let me have a box of hers. I used it all over my face for a few weeks, which got rid of the redness, but made a more stubborn problem for me. Instead of having big red zits, my face broke out in tons of milia and uninflamed irritation. So I switched to using this as an overnight spot treatment on my forehead and chin, and my face still broke out for months. When I stopped using it and switched to Cetaphil, my face stopped breaking out, but now I'm left with many red marks and dry skin. My acne's very mild to begin with but I have access to Retin-A Micro and YAZ, and I'm horrified to try either after reading many reviews, so I'm opting for some jojoba oil and seeing how that goes. If anyone has any other recommendations for scarring and some occasional hormonal acne, it would be much appreciated! But don't even touch proactive if your acne's not severe!

Pros:

Skin was clear and glowing

Cons:

BUT was not a permanent improvement nor was it strong enough to battle pms break outs

Good only if you have very very mild acne. Not recommended for severe cystic acne. Too expensive for the entire kit!

Pros:

Refining mask really tightens face, resulting of less shine/oil

Cons:

Dry skin around hairline, extended use has caused breakout of cheeks (more pimples than I had to begin with/rash), because of fair skin- blood vessels now visible around nostrils after use (confirmed by derma), CSRs EXTREMELY rude

Because it's removing oil, this product seems to make skin appear more aged. Acne prevention only seems to work for a short period of time. Working in the same field, their customer service is very poor/seems they lack knowledge of the product- hate the upsells. Wouldn't recommend this product unless acne is SEVERE. See a dermatologist instead.

Pros:

Clears up acne

Cons:

Time consuming

During the past 4 years, I've been to 3 dermatologist and Proactiv beats all the products they gave me. When used CONSISTENTLY, the system keeps my face clear of acne and has improved the texture of my skin that was damaged by acne scars.

Pros:

Smells nice
Easy to use

Cons:

Dries the skin
Itches and burns
Costly

I tried the proactiv solution for a week, I started to find my skin itching and burning from the first day that I used. I just kept on using it as I thought it can happen when you use a new product. But after a week the itching continued and I could also see my skin drying up like anything. I knew at once this is not for my skin, its going to make matters worse. So I stopped it and am now on Murad, which is working for me nicely.
