Pros:

it cleared my skin fast, my skin was kept nice and soft, the price was very affordable compared to the doctor's prescriptions.

Cons:

the product only works for some people, and it works off and on - i recommended it to my sister, and it dried out her skin. Good thing was, they gave her a full refund (it was easy because we bought them at kiosks)

I used to pay hundreds/thousands of dollars for medical treatments and they work just the same as proactiv does on my skin. I think it's acceptable to have occasional breakouts, as long as they're not severe. Even when i was on medication i still had a few breakouts, but i understood that no treatment was 100% effective and long term. You really don't know if the product will work or not unless u try it for urself, so just get the 60 day kit at the kiosks (so u don't have to risk of them charging ur bank account indefinitely) and ask for a full refund if it doesnt work for you. Read the instructions carefully! It is a strong product and you really should start with using the product twice a week and gradually build up. And don't use too much of the product either, it will dry up ur skin before it can heal the acne. Also check your moisturizer as well; make sure you don't use any rich creams - i found myself breaking out more frequently when i tried to use a heavy moistu

Pros:

It cleared up all pimples. Worked even better after a facial and cleared up almost all my blackheads. After a years use i do have significantly clearer skin with only two scars (from me squeezing the blackheads.)

Cons:

Didn't clear up blackheads until i got the facial done.

I had moderate acne on the sides of my face, forehead, and sometime on my cheeks. I also have an extremely oily t-zone. I was using this product only once a day and noticed a difference in my skin. However, after i got a facial done and began to use this product twice a day, my skin looks amazing. I have NO pimples and just a few blackheads on my nose(its usually greasy). Also, I've noticed a significant reduction in the oil production on my face. I do recommend getting a facial at least once every three months. If you have very oily skin like me, wash your face twice a day and get some oil blotting sheets to blot excess oils throughout the day. I think this product is great, but remember that consistency is what makes any product actually work.

Pros:

worked really well for 8 years

Cons:

stopped working after 8 years & my skin became ridiculously worse afterwards. Even before i tried proactiv my skin was moderately acne prone Now its so bad I'm on accutane.

It's just a matter of time till this product will stop working and make your skin worse. This is a temporary fix that isn't worth the end result

Pros:

If it's used consistently, it is very effective. Proactiv got rid of my whiteheads and blackheads very well, when nothing else really does that.

Cons:

It's a bit expensive and the lotion runs out much too fast.

It's worth a try if you've tried everything with no results.

Pros:

Cleared my skin up immediately. There is still room for improvement, but I am happy with the results so far.

Cons:

The Renewing Cleanser was out before the new shipment arrived. Also, if you place an order bc you notice you are running out, it comes three weeks later!

I had been seeing a dermotologist for the past 2 years (very very expensive and not covered under insurance), and this has had more results in 2 months than my dermotologist had in two years with a significant difference in price..so I'm happy. I just purchased the makeup, of course it hasn't arrived yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing how that works.

Pros:

Cleanser leaves skin feeling very soft and clean. Toner is great for getting that extra pore cleansing; it also leaves skin soft

Cons:

Repairing lotion takes some getting used to: while using it twice a day, it dried out my skin terribly at first (flaky dry patches on cheeks), so I just backed off to once, and now I use it 2x/day again with no problems yet!

I've been using Proactiv for about a month and was VERY skeptical. I had a few friends that used it with great results, but I had also heard of others that said their skin got worse. I took a gamble, and so far so good! My acne was never THAT bad, but one or two annoying pimples would pop up every week or so in the absolute worst places. What's worse is I would get ugly scars afterwards - even without messing with them. I can already see a difference in the overall clarity and tone of my skin, and I have a natural glow! Give it a try; it's worth it :)

Pros:

Proactiv actually works, but you need to give it some time. It has cleared my skin up completely (although I still have some scars). And pimples are a very rare occurence now.

Cons:

The month of my usage resulted in bigger and redder pimples. Also it doesnt help clear up scars, though the exfoliating properties in the cleanser have helped reduce them.

Proactiv works with persistence. My first month of usage was horrible. My pimples were bigger, redder, more frequent. But after this first month, Proactiv began to clear them up, as well as prevented more pimples from forming. Within 3 months most of my skin was clear, and pimples were not forming as regularly. Now, in my 6th month, pimples are a rare occurence and my skin has stayed clear. It has also improved my complexion and the feel of my skin. Initially, Proactiv does dry out your skin (esp the moisturiser) but with persistence, it eventually does refine your skin and smooth it out. I recommend the Oil-free moisturiser if your skin is feeling dry. Basically, keep at it, don't give up on Proactiv just because it isnt showing you instant results. In due time, it does actually work and you'll begin to love the products as much as I do.
