Expensive, Only One of 3 Products is Effective
I used this system for 3-4 years before I found something better. To me, it does a great job of getting my skin back on track after a breakout, but it doesn't do much for skin in the long term. The Salicylic Acid in the foam cleanser and toner is ineffective; both products have a pH too high for the Salicylic Acid to do its job and the toner is full of alcohol, something that will NOT help your skin at all. The only acne medication you get from this system is coming from the treatment in the form of 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide. The treatment is pretty good, but shouldn't be applied to areas without acne as it can be drying, so it's name of 'Clearing Moisturizer' or 'All-Over Clearing Treatment' isn't very accurate! You probably need another moisturizer when using this system, and they don't supply you with it. I found when using the cleanser twice a day, I went through a full-sized bottle in about 6 weeks. A big bottle of toner lasted me about 4-5 months on average, and a full sized tube of the treatment lasted me between a month and 6 weeks. Basically, this system requires a lot of repurchasing, and it ends up being costly. The only product from this system I would recommend purchasing is the Clearing Moisturizer, it's a pretty good Benzoyl Peroxide lotion, it just shouldn't be marketed as an all-over moisturizer.

Pros:

Cleared skin at first
The soap bar lasts for months
the moisturizer+bp works as spot treatment

Cons:

irritates skin
doesn't work for cystic acne
pricey

First I bought the starter kit and used the foam, which seemed to help, but in combination with the moisturizer+BP it was too harsh. It did clear my skin at first, but didn't help much with inflammation and some cysts i had under my jawline. I switched to the soap bar and it's much better. i just started treatment with a dermatologist and she approved i continue using the soap with the prescriptions she sent me, so i guess it's ok!

Yes, this is normal just reduce using this set to once a day instead of twice and for your second skin routine just cleanse and use an oil-free moisturizer.

Pros:

visible and dramatic reduction in breakouts
improves skin texture
toner helps even skin tone
good line for people with skin allergies

Cons:

very drying
not for sensitive skin
only worked for about 7-8 months
did not completely clear my skin

The first 2 weeks I used this my face basically flaked/peeled off because I wasn't used to benzoyl peroxide. It didn't hurt or turn red but it was not very attractive. Once my skin was acclimated, my skin looked much better. I was breaking out a lot less frequently and breakouts cleared up much faster. It only cleared my skin up to a point though; it did not not give me clear skin. I think it's worth a shot if your acne isn't too severe.

Not worth the price
I asked for this for Christmas since I could not originally afford the $70+ system. It did clear up some of my acne, but I have used drugstore one-product brands that worked better. For the price paid, I would not buy again. Also, it is very drying in the winter time so I had to buy a better working moisturizer than what came with the system.

Did not work for me
I am giving this a 3 star rating as it was the first thing that worked for me after 20 years of BP and antibiotics and derms. This gave me a 20% improvement rather than the increase in acne I got after BP. However it made my skin dry and itchy. It was not as dry and itchy as it got from BP but it was not something that I could live with.

Cleared up angry spots but left my skin dehydrated with blocked pores.
I used this range for around 2 years. After around 18 months I swapped out the moisturiser for a cheaper Simple moisturiser as it had a horrible consistency on my face and left me feeling greasy. I found the foaming cleanser and toner to be useful in preventing my red, angry spots but there are far too many chemicals in these products for my skin. My skin became dry and my pores clogged further. I was told by Clinique staff that I had to use the full range to see the full effects (surprise, surprise) but I now find a cheaper Clearasil face wash, the Clinique anti-blemish toner (or Garnier Micellar cleansing water) and a light Simple moisturiser is a good balance and works best for me. So you can mix and match these products!

Not sure how I feel about it
Before I started using this product, I had a bunch of small pimples on my forehead and many little bumps on my cheeks. I tried MANY products from Target, but none of them seemed to cut it. Once I started using the acne treatments from Clinique, the little whiteheads and bumps definitely went away. However, I started getting breakouts on my cheeks and down my jawline. These were new to me, because I have never really gotten an actual breakout, just many little pimples that wouldn't go away. I always popped these breakouts once the whitehead formed. In the beginning, my scars were the ones that would fade in time. But as I started using the product more, most of my scars were ice pick scars. I continued to break out for a long time, but after a year of using it, my skin started to clear up. As of now, I've been using it for 2 years. My skin definitely cleared up and I only get hormonal acne now, but I feel like this product changed my skin. Before, my breakouts were small and not as painful. Now, each and every one I get hurts and turns into a large whitehead. I also feel like the product really dried out my skin and made me more prone to ice pick scars. I now have many ice pick scars, some still dark, and I'm trying to figure out if I can heal them. Although the product did help in clearing my acne, I'm not sure if it helped my skin. My pores have enlarged in many areas, I get very oily (but my skin still feels dry???) and even some of the breakouts that I don't pop tend to scar. If you're going to use this product, try your absolute best not to pop your breakouts and MOISTURIZE. I feel like the lotion did not do much in terms of moisturizing. And I broke out a lot during my first year of usage- it's going to take a while for it to actually work. My skin is a lot more clear now, but I have many ice pick scars. However, the treatment is pretty expensive, so I don't know if I should continue using it. I'm thinking of switching to something more natural, because I feel like the treatment's chemicals really affected my skin.

Pros:

Amazing moisturizer
Toner makes your skin feel clean
Fast results

Cons:

Only works for a few months
Skin gets immune to it

Im 21 I've had acne since I was 14. I tried the 3 step system for combination skin wasn't expecting dramatic results but i was pleasantly surprised. It really worked. My skin used to have redness and pimples all over my cheeks and it cleared 80% of it. Theres a big problem though... The effect was only for 4 months after my skin just got used to it and my acne came back. It's worth trying but keep in mind that it will only temporarily control acne
