Pros:

NOTHING

Cons:

EVERYTHING

Please DO NOT use this product unless you want to make your face look 100 times worse! I had very very moderate acne and now totally regretting trying this bullsh*t b/c my face not only burnt and had more acne it gave me red scars all over my forehead and jawline (I've never had problems in those areas before) I have been off from it for a few weeks now and the red/scar isn't going away..... IT SCREWED ME OVER BIG TIME

Pros:

nice website. customer service responded.

Cons:

purging contintued for 5 weeks. i've finally given up on the product. it's expensive too.

I was on ProActiv but my friend highly recommended Murad because it worked well for her so i right away went out and purchased it. I started to 'purge' and their customer service said it should end in a couple days to a couple weeks. however after five weeks, my acne was literally at its WORST. i hadn't had such bad acne around my mouth ever. my skin has started to clear up since i've been off it and now im taking minocyclin. this product worked for my friend, her mom, and this random guy at the sephora place. im not trying to be racist, but they were all white (maybe this works for just white people? certain skin types?) i honestly dont know. but i wish the people at murad had jus told me to return the product if it wasn't going to work instead of telling me to just wait and follow some instructions that did nothing. please dont waste your time or money on this product.

Pros:

Nothing.

Cons:

Worst burn I've ever gotten from an acne product. And it doesn't peel away to reveal skin underneath, either. You skin stays red and dry and gross until you stop using it.

I was so terribly disappointed with this. Incredibly embarrassed with the results- I had to use twice as much makeup to hide the redness. It was awful. Not worth it for as much time as I spent using it.

Pros:

ZIP. NADA! ZILCH!! umm...NONE, bascially. HMMPH

Cons:

Absolutely EVERYTHING!!!!! I used to LOVE taking pictures. Like literally, I'd jump at the chance to take a pic, but NOW, I REFUSE to step foot in front of a camera. I just feel so ugly!! Murad has SHATTERED the self confidence I once had.

WARNING WARNING!! Murad "acne complex" is complete and utter CRRR-AP!!!! I've been reading the rest of these reviews and I say all 98% of us who HATE this product should ban together and sue the crap out of this "company". Before Murad, I tried proactiv...and I honestly, never should have stopped. Looking back now, Proactiv was a savior compared to Murad! Murad has ruined my skin, my face, my self confidence - everything. UGH. It is horrid for the following reasons: - The so called "purging" does NOT last 2 weeks as noted. It goes on and on...and on!! I held out hope thinking that it was just different for me, but NO. THe purging has left my skin red, swollen, and completely broken out (in places i NEVER broke out before!) - It stinks! - It's left my face scarred all over my cheeks and jawline. I'm to the point where I refuse to put my hair up. I think that by covering my scars w/ my hair or with makeup, that its doing something...but one look in the mirror proves

Burns, Itches, Smell is strong, irritating and chemicals are DANGEROUS!!

K well like so many of you in here....i wish i would have done my research and come across this forum before purchasing this product!! Since day one, this product ruined my face. The first day i used it my face was burning like crazy and i dont think it was because of the "purging" process..it was because it was my face telling me to get this product out of my face. The next day only to my horror did i wake up with my face full of blemishes and around my chin and jawbone i had a lot of ugly bumps and full of puss and just looked inflamed and didnt look normal. I gave it a chance and the next week my face just got worse and everyone was making comments saying that what was wrong with my face? so i went to the doctor and he said that i have to stop using it and murad is one of the worst things i could put on my face. He had to prescribe me medication for the infection and thank god is working!! Dont waste your money and if u dont believe me ask your local doctor about it.

Pros:

none

Cons:

omg where do I start?

This product is awful, it is expensive and it ruined my skin! I had mild acne after my child was born and I purchased this product after seeing an informercial. I only had small pimples before using this, after I has HUGE cysts on my cheeks and hairline which I had never had in my life. It was so painful and so horrible to look at I became severly depressed. My doctor actually recommended Accutane after this! Instead of doing that, I started using Acne Free and my skin is SO much better now, I have a pimple from time to time, but doesnt everyone? Do not waste your money, you will regret it
