Pros:

Worked quickly - within 2 days; easy to purchase at retail stores; no commitment to buy future like Proactiv. Small convenient bottles. I've used over a month and still have plenty left.

Cons:

Some redness, but better than acne.

I had moderate/severe middle age acne. I had perfect skin as a teen, but got acne at age 43. A friend recommended Clinique and I had minimal results for a very short time. I was ready to make a dermatologist appt but had to wait for deductible to start over. In the mean time I read reviews on Proactiv and Acne Free. I decided to go with Acne Free because it's easy to buy and I could pick it up that day rather than wait for the mail. I am so happy with AcneFree. I saw results almost immediately, and my skin has not looked this good in over 1 year. I saved myself an expensive trip to the dermatologist. I'm no longer embarassed to go places or sit in meetings. Thanks!

Pros:

Easy to use.

Cons:

This product didnt help me at all.

Burnt my face big time
MUST READ!!!! Like a lot of people on this thread who didn't like this product, I didn't like it either. And for a lot of the same reasons I see here - when I put it on, I felt like my face was on fire. I read up on what to do and I did everything I could in order to make it bearable - I iced my face, I took ibuprofen but it was extremely painful. To the point where I couldn't even touch my face sometime. It was also extremely embarrassing because my face was so red and it just felt raw. I am a subscriber to 'it gets worse before it gets better' and I had read all of the good reviews on this site also so I was determined to make it work but I just couldn't handle the pain after about a week of suffering. So I stopped and almost immediately my face got better. It took about 2 days for the redness to go away and for my skin to stop feeling windburnt. And lovely, I still had acne after the redness went away. I guess the good news is that the redness hid some of my spots! I chose this because it was the cheaper solution to Proactive, but in the end I probably should have gone with Proactive - maybe they would have had better customer support. But after this experience, I was just done with the big brand solutions. When I called them, they were zero help. None, zilch. Just told me to return the product, which I guess was respectable but at the same time, they just told me to try their sensitive skin one. Without even knowing more about the issues I was going through. I almost did it but decided to do a little more research and called a couple of other companies including Exposed, Proactive and this small one called Ninja that a friend had told me about. The ONLY one that gave me decent advice and insight as to what on earth was happening to me was Ninja. Everyone else was just trying to sell me the same stuff that I had a problem with at AcneFree, Eg. Benzoyl. The lady I spoke with at Ninja really knew her stuff and told me that it seemed like I had a problem with Benzoyl which is super funny because I had tried a bunch of stuff in the past with benzoyl and had itching but never really thought it was because of the benzoyl. So, I went with them because they were the only ones that seemed like they knew what the heck they were talking about. Went with their benzoyl free option, it has sulfur in it instead, and honestly, I have never even experienced clearing like that before. I also use their sulfur mask now and there are no more spots, no more bump and AND the scars are fading. I am almost to the point where I don't think I will need to wear makeup soon. All I am saying is that if this product isn't working for you, you might have some issues with Benzoyl like I had. Everyone always talks about how benzoyl is the only way to clear acne but its not the case! There are other ways and you shouldn't try and make something work if your skin isn't having it!! I always had heard was to suck it up, that it will work but you never hear that you should listen to your skin, your body. Listen! Check out all your options '˜cause there are a lot out there.

Pros:

Cheap
Fast working
Smells good
Results in 3-7 days

Cons:

Occasional dry skin

I started a new birth control and the hormones made my acne go crazy, my doctor suggested it and I tried it. I had terrible white heads and pimples around my chin area that were starting to scar. The treatment immediately brought down pimples, reduced white heads and stopped the scarring. I saw a difference in 3 days. My skin did get dry but I also started using it in the dead of winter when my skin is at its driest. Amazing product I'll never use anything else.

Pros:

Cheap
skin feels smooth
I can buy when ever I want
WORKED!?!?

Cons:

Skin got oily (But who gives a F*** my skin is clear!)

OK, so i have suffered from acne for 4 years. my skin has gone from mild acne to OMG WHAT THE HELL HAPPEN TO YOUR FACE! Dermatologist just gave me endless number of pills and nothing worked. My skin is permanently scared now and was covered in acne at all times. Out of desperation, I bought this and I bought Zinc supplements. I did it for a month religiously. I made sure I didn't miss one day. I hate the 3 day step thing but hey if someone wants clear skin who gives a sh**. So the bottom line for true acne suffers is buy this product AND (Zinc for Acne) I bought it at Amazon. I stopped taking the supplements for 2 days and I had a breakout that scared me into buying more supplements. I the same happened when I stopped AcneFree Severe. I wish i took pictures to prove my awesome transformation.

Pros:

Flattened bumps, but did not get rid of them, they stayed red. Thats probably the only somewhat positive effect it had.

Cons:

Gave me rash all over, burned my skin constantly and made it really dry.

Terrible, waste of money, dont use it.

Pros:

Very close replacement to Proactiv, but cheaper and available in drugstores.

Cons:

Unable to buy each step individually (except I think for the cleanser.
Scrubbing beads were different in the first step.
I had the same problem wtih this product as I did with Proactiv - seemed to actually make my acne worse due to overdrying, plus the aggravation of eczema on my hands from handling the product.

If proactiv works for you, give this a try, otherwise don't bother.

Pros:

Clears up MOST acne- for me. clean feeling

Cons:

Not all acne gone, and after that benzol peroxide lotion (step 3) my skin was so irritated and tight I had to always use cetaphil in order to have some moisture on my face!

AcneFree worked well for me, but didn't clear up ALL of my severe acne that I had- I still tended to break out, but it got rid of some of my bad acne I had

Pros:

none

Cons:

My husband and I have been trying these products for almost a year now, and with no positive results. Even with the sensitive skin line, we have ended up with dry, swollen, raw skin, even when used sparingly, and haven't had our acne reduced at all by these products. After having to go out in public with my skin so red and flaky and puffy, constantly burning for days on end after having used the Acne Free products, I will never purchase one again. Ever. Also, the pockmark filler did nothing.

Don't even bother with it.

Pros:

Cleared my face, stopped breakouts, and inexpensive.

Cons:

The only bad think i could think about is the mild smell of benzol peroxide.

Worked wonders for me. Even better than the prescriptions my doctor gave me.
