Anyone know the effects of dermarolling on dark spots left from acne? Can I roll while I still have these dark marks?

Im looking to getting the derma roller and i have a few quesitons. 1. I have light indented scarring on some parts of my face. What size should I use? the 1.5 or 1.0? And how often should I use them...
