Hello, I need help with the marks I have on my cheeks ... I've read a bunch of articles and it looks like what I have is Hyperpigmention , at first I thought I had scars , but from what I read scars are what is deeply penetrated into your skin and nothing will ever make it go away (which is what I don't have) i want to know what products are useful for these red spots on my check areas. It makes me depressed knowing they're are a bunch of other people with flawless skin and stuffing themselves with a bunch of junk food and not have a single pimple and I'm not one of them, I have eliminated soda/chocolate for life honestly because I can't remember when was the last time I touched of those. I have cut my sugar& junk food & diary as well. I'm not the type to have horrible/cyst acne either but I just want to get rid of these red marks from my face because it makes it look like I have severe acne even though they're just the marks from past acne. My skin wasn't this terrible 1 year ago from what I remember. Especially when I was my face they're super red but after a while they're not that red but still they make me very uncomfortable , I can't even go outside in the light , I have to be in the dark to not stare at them. PLEASE HELP !!!! (Also I have recently started washing my face with black soap and putting cortizone cream overnight to help them fade but I don't know if this will work....)

Have you considered using tretinoin? I still see some small pimples on your cheeks from the pictures you posted, and tretinoin can really help with that. Looks like you're into research so look up tretinoin and see if that's something you want to try! And I know how you feel, it sucks to do everything in your power to get clear skin and not succeeding. Please go see a dermatologist. I think you will benefit from a prescription of doxycycline. Obviously I'm not a dermatologist and he/she may make a different recommendation. I only say that because I had acne like yours, it had taken over my right cheek out of nowhere and nothing got rid of it. With doxycycline, I get maybe two break outs a month and they're gone in a couple of days. Doxy helps with the underlying bacteria that causes acne, and then tretinoin helps further by stripping away dead cells and accelerating cell turn over. I think you will definitely benefit from these treatments, you just need to speak to a derm.

Good job on getting your diet under control and minimizing your skin care routine! It's hard to not want to try everything under the sun to cure your acne and slathering on cream after cream but it's better to not overwhelm your skin!

Yes, ^^ those are amazing! I did R-A for 4 months , but mine wasn't like yours ( still bad) it peeled away dead scars and got my face back again. Good luck! I know how u feel. I do Manuka honey and it helps me. Try it, but not for everyone.
