Ouch, i would advice against doing so!
Coconut oil has a high comedogenic rating. And is thus likely to clog your pores and by doing so cause additional acne. Dryness could be combated by oils with a low comedogenic rating. It it best to use a regular moisturizer, apply as often as you feel the need.
The sugar in the scrub would act as an abrasive, like sandpaper. This will aggravate acne, and remove some dead skill cell in the process. I dare you to take a tablespoon full of sugar in your mouth and instantly chew on it. Shits like glass! The enzymes in saliva will however quickly desolve the molecules so it becomes a lot more eatable. To scrub, i only use a wet washcloth which i gently rub against my face.
I have to disagree with the other poster. I don't think there is any harm in knocking this without trying it out. I personally think coconut oil works great for dryness - I use it to cleanse my skin about twice a week and don't have any problems with it. Perhaps using it daily might cause breakouts but I don't have any issues using it as much as I do. Also, brown sugar isn't really abrasive like normal sugar - it's much more fine and powdery. Plus mixing it together with the coconut oil & water will result in it softening to more of a paste and would give a nice gentle, exfoliation.
So...I have actually used coconut oil for about 4 years now for EVERYTHING. My hair, skin, teeth....anything you could think of my answer is coconut oil. It is somewhat non-comedogenic. You may have a small break out here and there when you first start using it but that's all the dirt from your pores coming out. It is also an anti-inflammatory and has extremely high antibacterial properties. This was the only thing I used as a moisturiser for about a year, morning and night. Now I just use it on my body and as a makeup remover because it is so gentle and hydrating. If you're worried about it clogging pores, use Sweet Almond Oil with sugar. That's what I've recently been using. Just research oils that will work for your skin! Hope this helps
