Okay this ingredient is driving me crazy because I can't find a good factual website that can tell me whether it's bad for skin or not. They all say a different thing. Some say avoid it like the plague, others say its a miracle.
So can any one tell me if it really does suffocate the skin or clog pores ?
The face balm that I'm planning to try out contains a lot of beeswax. I'd say 90% of it is beeswax. Would that be an issue for very dry , sore , (but very congested) cheeks ?
Thank you in advance to any reply.
It may obviously vary by brand, but my experience with beeswax was horrific. I used Nad's Hypoallergenic Facial Wax Strips for my upper lip and it made me have one of the worst breakouts I have ever had. After waxing with beeswax, I got 4 painful cysts on my upper lip. One of them left me with a scar and other two left me with red marks. One red mark has not completely faded yet and that happened about 5 months ago. I continued getting more cysts on my upper lip for four weeks and then it stopped. All this occurred while I was going though severe acne that lefts me many red marks on my cheeks and chin.
I forgot to add that the beeswax not only broke me out on my upper lip. I tried the beeswax for the body on my arms and chest. I also broke out terribly on my chest with little pimples, I could count about 40. I had never broken out on my chest, thankfully it was all gone within a month with no red marks or scarring. For my arms, the beeswax gave me red bumps, but they weren't pimples. Those red bumps were gone after 3 weeks. I just guess i may be allergic to beeswax or I'm just super sensitive to it.
