This issue with my skin started July 2024 when i noticed two small, painful pimples on the side of my scalp.

Went to the dr, he said folliculitis, also had pimples on my chest, gave two week course of fluclox and it cleared it up. thought nothing more of it.

several weeks later it happens again , more widespread on th eback of my scalp this time, another course of fluclox - clears. returns .lymecycline for 3 months - no difference. I saw a private dermatologist who did a culture and found scanty growth of staph aureus.

I went back to the GP and she says I have heavy dandruff on my scalp (derm did say seb derm) which is causing scalp acne. the acne on my neck seems to happen whenever i shave but its got to be connected to my scalp and chest as it started same time. she says its acne not folliculitis and has given me another 3 month course of lymecycline, nizarol several times a week, and azaelic acid.

Just not sure if this will work? as no one seems to have any success stories with antibiotics. never had any meaningful acne before and i'm 22 so not like i'm in puberty.
