hey joey,
dont' be alarmed. remember, acne is not treatable. it's only preventable. Nothing spot treats. Therefore, the whole point of the regimen is mainly to not clear out the existing lesions, but to decrease the rate at which lesions pop out. Thus, you know you are in a good place not based on your face looks, but on whether or not new things are popping up. Good luck man, have faith. remember, in acne treatments, the placebo effect can be greater than 60 percent. I'm not saying this regimen is based on the placebo effect, but belief can make or break it, as is the case for everything.
hey everyone it's only been a couple of days, and already my face is getting better! thank you bfg!!!
the bumps that are coming to the surface are in the same places i've had cysts before but they aren't painful, they're not red, and they come to a head fast! i know i asked something similar before, but when these old cysts come to the surface, what is everyone putting on them? in other words, after doing the reg and before going to sleep at night, i want to spot treat these bumps. what has been working for you? sulfur? salicylic? bp?

Hey Christy, congrats on ur results! Just wanna ask you something: after the reg. do you put on moisturizer? And do you wear makeup? I have to wear makeup everyday to school and work (to hide my embarrassing zits and redmarks). Just afraid that the makeup will have a bad effect on the healing 🙁
P.S: I'm in Europe so probably I have to buy these stuffs online.
christy, my advice to you, as a long time acne sufferer is.................don't spot treat, as much as you are tempted to. It's tempting to want to do something for cysts, but the truth is, nothing can spot treat that well. i've asked quite a few dermatologists and they all told me the same thing: topicals only work for surface superficial acne.
therefore, just let them heal. Let the regimen do the prevention.

congrats on getting clear on the reg. John1234 is right. Spot treating cyst doesnt really do much. A warm compress might help a little. But a cyst has to run its course. I notice taking and advil helps with the inflammation but thats about it.

I cant say this enough please do not use moisturizer. Moisturizer can cause build up on your skin and it can promote blackheads to form. Moisturizers can also seal pores up causing huge cystic bumps. If you suffer from really dry skin and you really need a moisturizer. I recommend finding a non pore clogging, Noncomedogenic. Moisturizer. Even then applying only super thin film to your skin. Make sure their is no excess on your face at all. The same rule applys with makeup. Just make sure when you get home you take the makeup off.
Well after just using this reg last night and this morning my skin already looks worse. I guess that means it working though right? Don't worry ahha I am definitely not giving this one up.
Thats actually good that your skin actually looks worse. Its actually not worse at all what it is. Your seeing every bit of crap thats been sitting under you skin comeing up at once. Which that stuff would normally come up over a course of a couple of weeks. Your really seeing how bad your skin really was. When that stuff finally gets all drawn out you will notice your skin looks really healthy and has a nice hue to it. Trust me its much better having it come up all at once then having it come up over a course of a month or so. Remember use a sewing needle to prick the white head and drain the puss out. This will help speed up the healing process.
do you find any foods cause you to breakout like dairy bfg?
It been so long since I have cyst or acne. But I will tell you before I did the reg what cause my acne to get much worst. Heavy breads, buttermilk, that includes ranch dressing. soy sauce, pizza would always do me in. Anything really salty popcorn etc. and Mayo.
Dutch crust, I wear makeup most days, although I wear mineral make up which is actually good for your skin and has an anti-inflammatory effect.
I take it off as soon as I get home by removing it with face wipes, then I wash my face with my aqua glycolic cleanser, I let my face dry for 10 mins then apply the BP, I wait 15-20 mins then wash is off with the rag, then I wait until my face dries and apply my anti-oxidant gel and if my skin is very dry a tiny amount of oil-free moisturizer. I find this stops my face getting too dry and feels more confortable.
I think its fine for guys not to apply moisturiser because they do not wear makeup, but us girls need a good base for makeup and all that removing makeup then washing etc strips oil off our faces.
okay - i'll avoid spot treating BUT - lol - as a woman nearing 40, i feel like an idiot going out in public with visible cysts/pimples.
instead of lathering on a bunch of makeup, i am putting a pin-sized dot of adult acnomel to tone down the appearance. i do NOT use a foundation, powder, or any other makeup that goes on the whole face. i just use a little blush on my cheeks (i don't get cysts there), a little mascara, and some gloss.
as for moisturizers - no way! i agree with bfg on this one. plus, i believe my skin will even out it's oily/dryness after doing the reg for a couple weeks.
how 'bout this....my husband (who is often oblivious to my physical appearance) noticed my skin is looking better. he actually said, "wow honey. you're skin looks great!" ---and that was only after a couple days on the reg. so, it's not just in my head that my skin is improving! YAY
Well this is my second day. SO far the skin looks the same and nothing has come to head yet. I think I am doing everything right so maybe it'll just take more time for me. One question: Do you guys dry after washing your face with the bar soap or just apply the oxy 10 chill factor immediately? I have been applying it immediately and I'm not sure if that's right.

Your doing it correctly. You dont need to dry it. Just put the oxy chill right on. You face shouldnt be soaking wet but it should be damp. You cant expect results in 2 days time. You gotta look more at the long term not the short term. Go by weeks not days.

Yeah your husband is going to notice a new you when your 100 percent clear. You can go out in public wear that sexy clothing and show of your crystal clear face. It doesnt get much better then that. Thanks for trying the reg. I'm glad to have a woman trying the reg out.
I sent you a pm.
Hey, another thing I have noticed about this reg so far is that it is making my skin very "raw" and red. It always feels itchy and burns. Are others experiencing this as well?
Yes, especially after I wash off the bp, my skin looks very splotchy. It doesn't burn or itch though...
So I've been doing this reg for a couple days now, haven't been putting on my moisturizer that I love, and using mineral makeup. So far so good. My skin feels really tight and dry after I do the regimen in the morning and put on my makeup, but I'll wait it out for a week or two like bfg said and see...
I still can't get over the fiber thing though, are you sure it isn't harmful at all to be taking fiber pills every day? I guess I'm just paranoid, especially since my whole digestive system reacts weirdly to new things and is hardly ever in harmony
hey guys, is anything new popping up? i think that should the major concern for you guys. As soon as the bumps are down, thats where you start thinkin about skin tone.
i hope i'm not sounding too optimistic. I have lived with 6-7 cysts on my face before. I know how it feels, no doubt. But the worst thing about cysts for me...was not so much the fact that i had 7 cysts...but the fact that 3 more would pop up as soon as the 7 healed.
So, prevention. if nothing new is popping up, and the original lesions are surfacing, then GOOD. congrats, seriously.
As pimples become more ripe, they are bound to look more red. As i mentioned, i had 3 cysts on my face starting this regimen. the first three days and 4 days they just kept looking worse, but nothing new popped up. So while my face looked worse, i knew that there was hope ahead.
good luck guys. i really hope it works for you guys. then i know its not a fluke for myself....as it has prevented any signs of acne thus far.
BTW, most americans do not even get half of their daily fiber intake. we need alot of fiber...there has been many studies that link fiber to mental health. there has been studies that link fiber to improve acne. soo don't worry. its not weird to be takin fiber. this type of fiber...if you research it...has been used in chinese medicine for years.
Ok for all the dry skin problems out their. I think its important to understand. Please dont rub the oxy chill or bar soap off. Gently wipe the stuff off in downward motions until you see no more stuff left on your face. This should solve the dry skin problem. Also slight drying might happen at first but it should go away as you do the reg more down the road. If you still feel dry skin then its probably ok to apply a razor thin amount of moist. on your face. So long as its a non pore cloggin moist.
Taking allot of fiber is perfectly safe in fact its really good for you. Much safer then taking tane.
