2 week followup.

Ok, here's how things have been progressing with me on BFG's regimen. My face is much more calm than before the regimen and I no longer get the very large "stay for a month" cysts that I was getting after coming off antibiotics. I now have about 3 or 4 "active" zits, which are only days old but they're much smaller than my usual breakouts and are on the decline. Overall, I feel like my acne is on fast-forward, in that I'm getting many little breakouts but they're gone in a day or two, a 100% difference from before.

There's still many red spots from old zits, but those will go away in time as my face clears. Everything BFG has said about how this regimen will proceed is taking place. As skeptical as I was I am coming around to being a believer. Also, the dryness I was getting after about a week in to the reg is now largely gone. I sometimes put on a very thin amount of non-greasy skin lotion. I can't wait to see how the next couple of weeks will fare.

here's a quick UPDATE:

I have now been on BFG's Reg for 3 weeks. I'm pretty much only left with some redmarks that should fade away eventually. I think i can finally say I don't have anymore "active" pimples. this is great. WOOOOHOOOOO! I feel very lucky to have stumbled upon BFG's regimen.

thank, thank you, thank you thank you, thank you. I owe you one bfg.

I started the bfg reg. today and I am curious to see where this is going to go. I have done acutane twice, which i highly regret and I am currently finishing up a some of this sulfa-something-or-another. I have done countless other antibiotics, with sucess while i was on them. I have cystic acne all over my body, from what I suspect is the acutane, and some on my face...not really cysts though. I have tried going the suppliment way before with all the vitamans and the whole not eating any tasty food thing, but there was little sucess. Whenever I thought I was getting improvement and would take a step forward I would take two steps back. I have had a feeling it was with the digestive system when I was researching the whole vitamin thing, but I never figured something so simple as fibre would be the answer, it does make sense. I have always had problems with my stomach, probably from diet, partying, and everything inbetween. Peptobismal was a good friend. I have tried to be on a better health food streak now and drinking 4 32oz nalgines of water a day, which is really good considering how little i was drinking before.

Anyways! I have started this today. I got a bottle of 160 capsuls of metamucial that said the whole husk thing and take 6 for the lowering of colestoral (sorry i am lazy and dont feel like word checking). Also the oxy chill factor, as with the extreme alpine scent, never thought acne products could go extreme...who knew.

I took 6 pills this morning and I am waiting to see what my poo is gonna be like...to be honest. I will wash my face with the products and use no moisterizer...

Excited to see how this is gonna turn out, thanks bfg! p.s. you should send me that link aswell

I've been taking the fiber for almost a week now and I barely notice a difference. I imagined the same, that I'd be constantly runnin' to the bathroom but, that's not how it works. (not for me at least) I just notice that when I do go, it's so much easier. I'm in and out in a few seconds. haha and I have been noticing that I feel a little better. I know i needed the fiber and I'm drinking more water which i also really needed.

Okay so its day two of this and I am really liking it. I really like the fact I dont need to put on moisterizer, I just put some neutrogina sheer or whatever sunblock...just a little. Also the OXY chill factor rocks, and it is such a good idea to leave it on and then wash it off. It feels so good too! So far, even if the fibre doesnt workout...which i think it I will, I have found a new face washing system. I am very happy I still have SalAc in my wash aswell, because that was one of the favorites since a long time ago.

Thanks for such awesome advice bfg!!!!

Just a little sidenote for anyone thinking about starting the reg. Yesterday I had to re-stock on my products. Neither of the drugstores that I went to (CVS and RITE AID) had the oxy chill factor or the bar soap. Wal-mart however, had everything. Just an FYI ;)

Hope this works well for all those trying it. By the way don't be disheartened if you see new zits, the rule of thumb is once you get clear (which may take a while for some people) you will very likely stay clear.

So dont give up too soon.

Yea I'm feeling a little bit discouraged the past few days after a 2 week mark breakout. 🙁

Definitely gonna stick with it though and still have high hopes. Ah just want to be clear by thanksgiving!

I also had a small 2 week breakout, they went away very quickly. but now I haven't had one in about a week and a half. Stick it out!

It's been two weeks and things are looking a little better. I had to put on less chill factor because my face was starting to swell and blister really bad. Now I only keep it on for 8 - 10 minutes too, instead of 15. My skin isn't as dry when I do this and I'm still seeing some improvement. However, I'm still breaking out but it's definitely not as bad as the end of last week. Not too bad though...I expect the worst to be over but again, I shouldn't speak too soon.

Wow I'm really interested in this.

I don't really have cysts, just a lot of pustules. It will be 1 month on the DKR on the 11th. I feel like my skin has been purging this entire time and I'm just now seeing slight hints of improvement on DKR.

My big complaint is that my skin burns all the time, even wearing the hood on my hoodie up is too much.

I also have a party in 1.5 weeks that I wanted to look nice for....

So my question is, does anyone know how the transition from DKR to this might be like? More purging? God I hope not... Is ok for people without cystic acne?

Also the fiber...is it going to be bad enough that I'll have to jump up and runn outta class to the bathroom because that'd be embarrassing as hell

Myranna, to answer your questions.....transitioning from DKR to this regimen should be a piece of cake. If you're already purging from DKR, then this regimen will help to 'quicken' the purging from the inside out, rather than just topically. But also your blemishes will heal a lot faster. I, myself transitioned directly from DKR, and my face was so bad that I thought I would get worse. In fact, when going on BFG's reg, my skin actually calmed because I wasn't having a layer of bp gel and moisturizer on my face everyday. I had to get used to not wearing moisturizer, but that goes away and your skin will start to normalize itself after the initial 1st week. The burning on your face is because you have bp on 24/7. With this reg, you apply the medicine, and wipe off after the 10-15 minutes. The bp is absorbed into your skin and reaches a saturation point, so you don't need it on your face anymore than that.

This reg works whether or not you have cystic acne. I get rare mild cases of cystic acne, just under the surface type. I mostly get blackheads, small whiteheads and pustules. But the key word is PATIENCE. Do not expect any overnight miracle, or 1 week, or 2 weeks, although some experience improvement in that time period.

Regarding the fiber...I stick to the 6 pills daily, and I've yet to experience a rushed urge to run to the bathroom. I do my thing first thing in the morning. I feel more regulated and my bowel movement is much easier. So no, you will not have the urge to run out of class to go to the bathroom.

Snce we dont have the same products, can I just shop for a generic BP Wash and soap instead of using specific brands? What other ingredients should I be trying to find?

I'm not from New Zealand, but we don't have the things either. Ordering the stuff from US would've been too expensive to be worth it. Instead, I ordered the pills from UK (No toll fees or anything like that because we're in EU) and instead of the OXY products, I use Clean&Clear Quick Clear Daily Treatment Wash (I was using it before I started with this and I think it improves my skin) and I use a 5% BP and wash it off after 10 min. It might take longer...or not work at all. I'm not expecting any results until the end of the 3rd week. I'll post here how it goes. I am breaking out though, it's just that...I'm not sure if it's the stuff coming up or just another breakout.

I got a question about the fiber pills though. The label says to take 2 pills 3 times a day. Because I'm not always home in the afternoon I'm taking 3 pills twice a day. Wouldn't it be better to spread the amount pills you take in a day rather than taking all 6 in the morning?

Just so you know, using substitutes for the products mentioned in the regimen probably won't give you the same results. The products used by BFG have been specifically selected and work together in a certain way. Without these products, it is a completely different regimen.

I know it's not exactly the same regimen bfg posted, but it's similiar. At least I got the right pills, which I think is the whole 'secret' of this regimen. It's not like I want to avoid OXY products...it's just that they're not sold over here and ordering them from US is RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE.

...I'll post some results in a few weeks.

And does anybody know the answer to my question in my previous post?

Hi, I am just writing because I am very concern if this regiem would work on me. I am taking birth controls, would this regeim work if I am still on birth controls and plus I wear make up foundation too? I have tried every product you could find on the internet and on infomerical too. Nothing has worked for me but I was wondering if I should try Dave's Regeim first...because I never took pills before for ACNE.

I'm on birth control and Dan's Regime, and I wear make up for I hear ya on those concerns

I take my BCP at night so I will be doing the fiber in the mornings so my pill has all night to absorb. I don't know if it matters but whatever, makes sense.

I wear Every Day minerals makeup because I hear it's good for your skin. I honestly don't see a difference from my Neautragena Healthy Skin foundation or my Mark Kay foundation but whatever. Make up is a major must for me.

And I think tonight is my last night on Dan's Regime. Looking at my progess pics I think it made it worse. It would have been a month on the 11th and I feel bad for giving up but the daily dryness, burning, peeling is too much. I'm glad it worked for some people though.

I hate getting my hopes up but I really feel good about starting this regime. I'm getting my stuff tomorrow
