I did Smoothbeam in August through November 2003. I had about 4 treatments done and had to throw in the towel. I just could't keep popping 200 bucks a treatment and driving for an hour and a half to get there with the minimal results I was getting. It was a HUGE disappointment!!! It was the first thing I really got my hopes up over and was let down horribly. It didn't even eradicate my acne like it was supposed to. I also got into it with the woman who did it for me. She told me to leave her house at once, saying that I didn't appreciate anything she had to offer me. This woman was also so sincere and kind to me in the beginning to. I was shocked at how her manner changed when I told her I wasn't thrilled with the results. I was so humiliated and depressed.

Hi lippylibrarian,

The drops do have a certain smell to them. I didn't associate it with burning wood though. Maybe?... I have my second bottle now and it's the same. So I don't think you have a bad batch.

Don't be nervous about posting. You can just scroll through whatever doesn't agree with you!

Good luck!

Synch

This board is full of extremes if nothing else. In one corner we have the dermabrasion  people who swear that paying thousands of dollars to have your face scraped off does wonders for scars in the other corner we have others who say all ya need is a few miracle protein or TCA acid drops or some pointy needles.

The one thing they have in common is they never show you the money. Show us the money people, show us the money!  lol.gif

ylem,

I agree with brendagail, you shouldn't have had to go through that. It's always sad to hear tales of hope squashed.

Unfortunately, the Smoothbeam just didn't provide the results promised for those of us beyond mild to moderate acne with real scaring. While I'm sure there are some people who benefit from the treatment, I know I didn't see anything.

The woman who worked on me did a round of 4 treatments for free since I wasn't seeing anything from the treatment. Same with V-Beam. After all that, we just decided that laser treatments weren't effective for my condition. So now I'm doing a bit of GentleLASE with her which does work.

Take comfort, though, that at least the protein drops are showing promise! If nothing else, not having to use harsh retinoids, acids and anti-b's to simply control acne is wonderful.

Hopefully in a few months we'll all be content with our appearances and can get off the product roller coaster.

Take care,

Synch

amigababy,

I fully agree that photos are the best way to demonstrate a product's effectiveness.

The only reservation I have is that I am now in my 10th week of treatment. I have no baseline photo for you to judge my current progress. When I began using these products, no one was discussing them. As with most treatments, I figured I would use it for a month and then move onto something new. I never considered taking photos as nothing usually works!

Havaing said that, I will see what I can do.

Take care,

Synch

I was able to get into the study and was told that the product will be shipped around 2/15/05.

I can't wait to test it out. I am not getting my hopes up, and I am still planning to have dermabrasion in April. Punch floats in March.

Also since Old Guy seems to have disappeared from the board and retreated into his ingeniously camouflaged wilderness fortress someone has to represent the senior citizens on this board and I guess thats me.

Hi, I'm another long time observer, first time poster. smile.gif Just curious about applying the 302 drops to the eyes...I'm a little nervous about doing this. Do you guys apply just a small amount about all the way up to your actual eye, including eye lids, or do you just apply around the peripheral area of the eye (not very close). I just received my drops and cleanser on Thursday and will definitely keep everyone updated on my progress. For this first week, I'm washing with the cleanser twice a day and applying the drops every other night. Starting the second week, I will be going to nightly applications of the drops. Thanks everybody.

Honestly folks Im speechless. None of you have the moral integrity to buy a cheap webcam and document the effects of this wonder drug? In the immortal words of the great philosopher Cuba Gooding Jnr "show me the money!"

Well for better or worse I have a wide altruistic streak which runs down my back and visions of countless eager wide eyed souls with arms outstretched exchanging handfulls of freshly minted banknotes for Iguana Blood Serum or coming out scarred or burnt after Isotopic Derma Laser Transabrasion etc were more than I could in all good conscience bare.

You'll be waiting a long time for it to improve your scars, I am afraid. As in *forever*. No topical can reduce indented acne scars. Come on people, we've seen these scams before. They come and go, just like this one will. Too bad a lot of people will be wasting their money on it though ... If you have scars, do yourself a favor: take the money you would waste on this worthless cream and use it to get a consultation with a good dermatologist. A derm can recommend treatments that will help, and that's better than wasting $$$$$ on another worthless "cure in a bottle."

to say that no Topical Can Improve Scars is completely and utter nonsense.. Since in order to Improve Scarring collagen must be induced from within the scar itself..

I think it would be proper to state that Most topicals out today do very little to improve scarring.. And for the people using 302 i think we shouldnt put all our hopes in this product..

If i can even get minor improvement the product will be worth it..

But for those of you with Deep Scarring, to expect it to completely fill in you scarring is probably a bit nieve.. But using this in conjunciton with say TCA cross and other Peels may really help those with deeper scars..

Im just hoping this product improves the overall condition of my skin and improves the redmarks on my temples..

Then in 1 month or so i will be doing a Jessner/TCA combo Peel on my temples to improve the minor scarring..

Seriously, people who think the 302 is a scam can stop now. You've made your point and unless you have something new to offer about this just stop posting how absolutly positive you are this is a scam. Some people feel they are getting postive results. I would rather read the results of people who are trying it. Time will tell us if this product is a total scam or not. lets just wait and see!
