I've been following this thread because you guys are the only one in the internet that actively discussing about the brand new product Niacid. I'm planning to buy that one too but I used to have scary skin problem, so i need to read more review from people (other than people in their Facebook comment section).
This morning ifound out that there's another korean skin care product that also offer similar benefit. They even have similar promising ads about the product and the price is a little bit cheaper. To be honest, if they don't show the product on the video like that, I'd think that this ads is a new ads from Niacid.

Yes , someone I found on Niacid page , sent me a link for that product too :
You can check out. However it seems Niacid people are lot more active with their marketing and more reviews are available , this product also based on snail slim
I have also purchased Niacid yesterday. Intrigued to try it out on my indented scars when it arrives to see how effective it really is. I'm afraid to get my hopes up but we shall see. At the very least, I hope it does help to clear the PIE of my indents to make them seem less deep.

Interesting. The ad has some similarities with Niacid. For this brand, the marked improvement in the appearance of indented scars was seen ath the 80 ml level..for the Niacid video, it was around 28 ml. Both models had several deep indented scars which greatly improved.
There is a reddit review on Niacid, but it hasn't been updated. It would be helpful to know id the user experienced a continued improvement in her indented scars.

DISCLAIMER :
I am no where related to any company. Even I have ordered one for my self for mainly pigmentations and scars. I will update once I receive the product .
There is some confusion here:
This is NOT for scars. The Korean beauty formulasare notoriousfor marketingtopicals to do all sorts of things, cooking, cleaning(sarcasm). Watch a youtube video you will see they promise the world.
1) PIE(redness) or PIH(pigmentation) is NOT scarring! It's wounding or pigmentation. As such this post probably belongs in the hyperpigmentation sub.
2) The Korean company is using false marketing / adverting. The main ingredients are in several other hyperpigmentation formulas. They are NOT for scarring. If you have basic PIE, sure it might work along with numerous other products.
SkinCeuticals "DISCOLORATION DEFENSE" - Daily dark spot corrector targets visible skin discoloration for brighter, more even-looking skin...Ingredients:Aqua / Water, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid, Glycerin, Tranexamic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Kojic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Allantoin, Chlorphenesin, Xanthan Gum, Disodium Edta . Rated as not being that effective and expensive. There are other -better productsout there, I often mention in every scar post for the past several years with actives like niacinamide the ordinary.
3) Those pictures are photoshopped or altered they are using. They are preying on the un-informed.

Owww you broke my heart BA ,
1. I asked them about that video in Facebook comments and they said it was authentic video no Photoshop no makeup , they might be lying .
It is not possible that some crazy team in Korea come up with something innovative ?? Because this guys have only one product in basket and they are working on some another product for anti aging .
2. Also few people gave very good reviews in Facebook comments , if you have time in your busy schedule can you please check the facebook link in above post to see some before and after , I know it can be just good mosturisation or just fading of PIE giving better appearance , but literally people were saying they found reduction in depth. I had their personal messages on Facebook.
3. Again snail slime , do you really think it is effective for scar or just fad ?? Because now over the time snail extraction methods are also improved , it doesn't require snails to kill or irritate ?? I just found this video also :
well again I don't want to irritate you , but your 2 cents are always worth than 2 million dollar .
4. Also if you check Facebook comments this guys-slurp are also saying 'NO' to so many people who asked about burn scars , hypertrophic scar , surgical scar, scar on body , anti aging n all. They could have said yes . Isn't it ??
Please answer as per your convenience.

In a never-ending quest to find a miracle product to hold back unforgivable wrinkles and banish your hideous over-twentysomething skin, cosmetics companies may have unearthed the magic ingredient: snail slime. The demand for it is certainly growing, with reports that snail farming in Italy has increased by more than 325% over two decades, with 44,000 tonnes of snails produced every year. In the last 10 months alone, weve seen a 46% increase in snail slime, due to demand from the cosmetics industry, Simone Sampo, the president of Italys National Heliciculture (thats snail farmers) Association, told the Telegraph.
Snails as skincare have been around since the ancient Greeks, who apparently used them crushed as an ointment, but in more recent years, products have been including the slime with claims that it can help heal acne and reduce wrinkles. In 2013, inspired by treatments in east Asia, you could pay to have snails slither over your face at one spa in Northamptonshire (this facial is no longer offered). Marginally less yucky, other salons offer facialswhere the skin is pricked with tiny needles before a serum containing snail secretions is applied. You can also buy skin products containing mollusc slime.
However, the evidence for snail slimes effectiveness is not particularly compelling. One study found it could treat burns, while others have suggested it might reduce warts, but these were small-scale studies. Im not aware of any good clinical studies that demonstrate how or indeed if snail slime works as an anti-ageing ingredient the skin is an excellent barrier, after all, says Dr Sam Bunting, a cosmetic dermatologist. Another issue is that these are living creatures, so how do you control potency, given the likelihood of variation from one organism to another?
Snail slime is said to contain the kind of ingredients you see listed on some skincare products such as hyaluronic acid and collagen. It is, says Colin Sanders, a cosmetic scientist and blogger, likely to be rich in water-soluble biopolymers such as polysaccharides and proteins. He has tried snail slime (in a gel). It worked pretty well, actually. Basically, its the oldest trick in the book. Most water-soluble biopolymers tend to shrink on drying, and in doing so they tighten up the skin. Egg white would probably work as well as snail slime. The natural ones do seem to work better than synthetics, but youd get the same effect from wallpaper paste.
I agree with BA, it's a scam
Look, if they marketed it for hyperpigmentation/redness I'd have given it a fair shot, but for indented scars LOL
Topicals do nothing for indented scars, they only work the texture (and few actually works). Even Retin A only works for the texture, won't get rid of the scars, and it's probably the best topicals you could buy.

I also have that feeling in heart , but then how come people giving good reviews ??? And they are not paid reviews either . You can find number of good reviews on facebook
19 hours ago, beautifulambition said:A fad ;-). Sounds exotic right, snail gooo... They had leaches in the 1900s for beauty (the new microneedlin!). Fish for your feet skin in the malls now too (yummy). So basically you want a non-vegan (poor ground up snails) Hummectant to fix your scars? Fad, ... We have HA and other Hummectants for years. In some people it causes contact dermatitis (allergy). Those Korean Marketing agents and their ingredient sales. KimChi Scar cream is coming next. Read below wallpaper glue, aka it is a faux tightener of the skin. The other ingredients are basics in hyperpigmentation products - PIE and PIH as I clearly laid out above are not scars. They are basic wounds PIE' that will go away in a year. PIH is pigmentation, hence natural bleaching /pigment agents. These ingredients are found in multiple hyperpigmetnation products on Amazon, nothing special. Are snail slime products worth shelling out for?Mon 6 Feb 2017 10.38 ESTLast modified on Mon 2 Jul 2018 09.54 EDT

BA but what about reviews ??? Are they all fake ?? Some of them posted before and after also though not Same lighting , angle. Why anyone would lie after spending 50 dollars ??
@Ravi.kumar.engineer Are we still seriously posting about this
We proved that it is the same thing as many hyperpigmentation formulas I have had people use for years of giving advice (there is nothing new here), so I don't care what pictures they have frankly. Go on Amazon, ... the same products. If you bought it might as well use it as you seem to have PIE/PIH (this is not scarring) and or your skin type is prone to it so it's a good preventive. The improvement I see mainly is from wounding not any sort of scars.
Also why is it not sold on Amazon? There would be bad reviews and comparisons that is why. It's like any other product. They need to make you feel it's special.
This is a good learning moment, ... things online, infomercials, marketing, videos, trends, are just that, here today and gone tomorrow. In medical studies people often heal from placebos(sugar pills) alone, hope is a powerful thing. They want to sell you their product you can buy anywhere, and you want to believe it will do magic. If it could ... the whole world would use it and not need anything else to treat their scars. A common misconception again is redness or pigmentation is scarring, and this is NOT so.
If it works for you great, use it and let us know. It will not work for 99% of the severe cases here, that is why I have to help with extensive scar work that can be costly and time consuming.
I believe I gave you a full scar plan to treat your scars, how about following that instead of looking for shortcuts.

Because they don't want to say they got scammed...there are good reviews for everything if you search for them, some people just love to get scammed. For example they may use for a "better skin texture" and will say "it works!" but who cares....we buy it for scars not for a better skin texture or as a moisturizeror whatever
I wouldn't buy it for scars, but if you want to try it you can do it and see if your scars improve

Got it. Well I have ordered one bottle so let see. Will update
I have not given hope on BA suggested plan , I am following it. But it is 3 month apart treatments.
So I was just wondering if something non-invasive can give similar improvements , it's cool. I mean scars are one thing and needling and sub is another pain .
But as you guys have now cleared out , no high hopes with product . But let's see.
Otherwise buissness as usual sub, lasers , needling .
Thank you guys
Where do you live?
I also have to treat my scars and will do it with subcision+filler, tca cross and lasers. I'm still a student so it's very very expensive for me to pay for acne scars revision. It's very tempting to use topicals because they don't cost $$$ but they don't work usually.
Hey guys I just want to update that I am using this product called niacid by slurp and I am having good results . It's been almost 1 month , i will say it gave me improvements ,not that like everything is gone , but I can see things improving , i am at half bottle , so may be entire bottle will go 2 months , i will update you guys 6 month results , with before and after pic.

And ya this is not paid or anything , if you have doubt you can ask me and I will try to answer in my capacity , you can ask on slurp page also, those guys seems to have good knowledge about acne and scars and skin .
PS: And if you want to believe this entire niacid thing is bullshit you can believe that also.
