Nope nothing, I did ask the nurse are they gonna give me anything to put on my face she said no. I've been thinking something tho, basically everyone on this page who's seen dr chu has dermapen subcission tca cross as a package of 330 I think it was. Now reading a lot I've seen dermapen don't do a lot. Dr chu charges about 200 or more for dermapen alone. Something like 50 for tca cross which means subcission alone would cost maybe 80-&100. I think next time I go see him I'll say I don't want dermapen just the subcission and it could be a lot cheaper! My bruising went after about 7 or 8 days on my face, but temple stayed bruised for a couple weeks with a bit of yellow under my eye, think cause skin thinner on temple. Just letting ya no incase tour booked in for it

I have a easy solution @Dan88@EagleEva@tasinhooooTake a pain pill before you go, and put on topical lidocaine cream like you would for tatoo's. IT can be purchased online on Amazon / Ebay. IT must sit on your face for a hour pre-treatment with saran wrap. If there is no way to do this, just rub it into the skin and head to the appointment. He will clean it off before treatment. You can Ice the area after the procedure, get some ice in a ziplock bag or a frozen item from a store and it will help. Just make sure the item is sterile in clean paper towels, etc...

did you have PRP with your dermapen? It also helps you heal faster and serves as a spacer after subcision and I think Chu has very good prices for dermapen with PRP.

@beautifulambitionhmmm, Im not worried about pain, I ll be fine but Emil put a layer of antibiotic ointment and gave me a pack of 3 oral antibiotics as an infection prevention so I expected that it s a standard move after subcision... and it kinda made me feel safer. Hm, I ll try to get it locally (moms a doctor) then...

also @Dan88 - those blackeyes, did you get it from temple subcision only? I dont need my temple scars treated since they dont bother me at all but I am wondering whether forehead subcision will leave me with a black eye too? @tasinhoooo what do you think, you had your foreahead subcised, right?

@EagleEvaYea I'm positive it's from the temple subcission. It's not a black eye tho, just a slight yellow kind of skin shade under one eye.

@EagleEva im on 16th day and my right is still black..You should expect biiiiig swelling on eyes and forehead after subcision on that part of face(dr Chu informed about that). From temple subcision you should expect yellow skin.

you mean your right eye is still black after 16 days? wow. is that normal? Oh s*, I was planning to go back to work after 5 days :/
did he use Nokor on forehead or a smaller needle? I thought Nokor is not used for forehead as it might be too aggressive.

there's just one more thing though that doesnt make sense to me - why Dermapen first? I would think the order would be subcision first, then dermapen + PRP for  better healing. also dermapen makes your face swollen so the scars are less obvious. hm.

@RunawayspaceshipI answered your post you made about treatment. TCA peels for light to medium strength peels you need several of them. They are done last for texture instead of laser. Once you subcise and fill and do your rf needling and tca cross. IT's the final step. Some do upkeep once a year with them. But I would think at least 4-6. Since I saw you mentioned DR Lim he does fully ablative erbium laser instead but it's expensive and there aren't many doctors who do that like him (his specialty). Peels are easy enough to find or you can do them at home. See the FAQ I linked in your other post.

Thanks for the info! I am going to have to do a lot of back reading. I don't have the large amount of money that these guys want for lasers etc. A derm might be cheaper than a plastic surgeon. I think I will do subcis then TCA and needling to make it look better. Might do dermapen on my own at 0.75-1.5mm for texture since it's not going 3mm+ into the dermis. I definitely like to read as much as I can before messing with my face. Some of the guys on youtube do dermanpen and rolling without even sanitizing their faces with isopropyl alcohol before needing. Kind of scary to see these guys rush into things but they seem to have some results.

@EagleEvahe used Nokor needles yes.I still have lumps(sometimes appear and disappear) and i feel pain when i touch them.My eye is still black(it almost went away) and i dont know if its natural after all these days. And its my right eye(he subcised my left part of forehead)...You can go back to work but you will be a little swollen on some parts. If you use make up you can cover it.
