Theoretically, collagen will keep regenerating up to 6 months. But it will most likely slow down after 3 months. So considering the 3 month mark as the peak of collagen production, you might want to get fillers at that time to not only fill any remaining indents but also provide nice cushion underneath to prevent possible retethering.

Not sure how to put a percentage on it, but my cheeks are definitely smoother, though the coloration remains on the surface. My only concern is whether or not the scars will re attach after a certain period of time. If they more or less remain like this, I'll be set.
Thank you for taking the time to come back and update us on your progress. Congratulations on your successful treatment!
@QuanHenry I appreciate the post a lot. As a holiday present from myself and my family I will most likely be seeing Novick within the next 3 month or so. If you don't mind me asking was he able to subcise the scars on your temple? I know this is a slightly higher risk area but I've heard as long as they know what they are doing it's not a big deal. Would love to hear your thoughts before I make the drive.
Thanks everyone. I want my pictures to be as honest as possible, but it's hard to really capture the improvement in the depth. Probably 80-90% filled in at this point. These pictures are taken in unflattering light at an unflattering angle, but the texture looks minor in person.

Yes, he even did a scar on my forehead, but I didn't see much improvement with it.

That's the plan, but after 3 or 4 subcisions spaced 3-5 months apart I will let it go for a while. I want a permanent improvement after all. Novick insists that when scars respond to subcision that the results will last. Time will tell.
@QuanHenry Awesome thanks!! When you say you didn't see much improvement is that for the forehead alone or the forehead and temples?

That was for the forehead scar. I would definitely go for it if your scars are deep.

Nice! So if i'm right he performed subcision on you while you still have voluma in your cheeks?
@Noa27Checkout the faq - top post of the acne scar sub - Drs recommendations, and his website is linked there.
[email protected] should work
It's been a little over 2 months since my last treatment and I'm still enjoying a nice improvement.
Does anybody with subcision/filler experience know if my improvements are more from the subcision, the filler, or both? How will I know when the filler has absorbed? Does is absorb gradually, or is there a sudden decrease in volume? There were more than 4 months between my first and second subcision, and I hadn't really noticed any decrease in the improvements.
Just hoping for long term results here, and I'm planning on doing another session next month. At this rate 3-4 subcisions will be great for me, just worried it is fools gold.
Edit: @Noa27 Sorry I didn't see your post. Yes he did subcision with voluma in. I didn't see any improvement to the scarring from voluma, but did see an improvement in volume (duh).
@QuanHenryThey are from both, you are releasing the tethers, and filling the space, spacer so it does not re-attach. The body dissolves the fillers and if it heals well then tissue is replaced in the spots. Sometimes this must be done a few times, and sometimes ongoing. Age is a constant battle regardless of scars (just adds to the complexity). It's really how your body heals. With cupping you cause bruising, and scar tissue formation, this is why one bruises, similar results if your body heals well. In my experience the filler method works well if done with aggressive sub like from Novick.
If you like the results of filler you can do Bellafill if you wish after some time, if it does not last, ... again how you heal and like the results.
Voluma lasts 1 year to 1.5 years. Depends how long your body takes to dissolve it. Dr Lim in a paper stated some of his patients can go 3 years which I have never seen myself, but just a FYI.
There is no fools gold, if you need a permanent filler this is a option if things are good but dissolves over time, depends on your body. You did tings right, start and see how you heal with a Natural HA, and see if you even like the look of it filled, then consider longer lasting filler if need be.
Filler is a spacer, it will not improve scars, but yes gives volume, prevents re-attaching.
If you read up on hyaluronic acid fillers, doctors say they go through something called isovolumetric degradation.
This means that as the filler degrades, it draws in more water to keep a similar volume. I would guess that this means the volume will drop sharply at a certain point instead of degrading at a steady rate. So you might have about the same volume for 8 months, but by 10 months the volume drop off is much more noticeable.
For the doubters, I honestly can't replicate the original lighting any better or make my face look any worse than this. This is about 5 months after 2 subcisions. Can't wait to see what it's like after 3-4. I have some PIE and general redness right now that I didn't in my original, but you can clearly see the scars have lifted.
If you look at the ones in the center of my cheek, they have improved a lot. There was one in the center of my cheek that looked like a deep, upside down exclamation point that is almost completely level now.
@QuanHenryYou look great Quan. Big improvement and you can get more if you want TCA Peels / Vascular Laser, ... that's all up to you. Many just get happy with where they are at and move on, that's cool too. The improvement is for you to be happy. You controlled your destiny and changed your outcome, unlike so many who do nothing here but make fun of others, Why are they here.... (negative attention, poor self esteem, BDD, hurting others to feel better about themselves. You will never impress the trolls, so why try. Lots of trolls lately. Look at their past history of these users posts, they don't even talk about their own scars or post pictures yet make fun of you that you don't have their idea of perfect skin, which few have even without acne scars (some psychological issues there).
**General Advice: If someone is making fun (or criticizing) of your posts / pictures please go through their post history (click on their username) and see if they have pics themselves and or posted for advice. IF they didn't that's not very fair is it.
Congrats!

Nothing will satisfy the trolls other than 100% improvement, but it doesn't matter.
I just want my pictures to be as fair as possible so people can see what subcision can realistically do in unflattering light.
That looks fantastic. You can barely notice the scars, and I doubt other people who would deal with you on a daily basis would give your scars much thought either. Some people are going to be set up to fail with scar treatment, because as you mentioned, its either 100% improvement or the treatment is a waste of money.
@quanhenry That is absolutely night and day. The % improvement looks fantastic tbh. Looks like you are in good hands with Novick and I'd keep seeing him as it seems like he is really top class. I'll be seeing him soon 100%.
Wow, Quan. You have had tremendous improvement. I hope your confidence and swagger is back. You are staring this challenge head on and hitting time and healing milestones with np. You should be proud. Please know that there are a ton of people who lurk here and don't pipe up much (I'm generally one of them) but who are finding/will find inspiration and fortitude from you. So thank you.

All the publicly available web pages say he has been in practice for 40+ Years. So do the math and he's gotta be mid or late 60sish.

Looks good. At least 40% improvement right now (that's a lot for 2 subcisions+filler) But everyone measures differently.
Thanks a lot for updating.
