Last saturday i used my derminator for the first time. I first did the 1.0mm, i barely felt anything. So after that i did the 1.5mm. It was hurting a bit more, but totally bareable. Didn't bleed at all... Should i try 2.0 mm the next time?

Just do what you're comfortable with. I didn't do 2.0 until my third session. I had quite a bit more blood and swelling with 2.0 but it Lhasa healed up well. I think my next session is in 2 weeks, and I'll be using 2.0 on the cheeks again.

Hi ya! So I finally made an account and joined this community. Wish I've done it years ago. Anyways I just ordered a derminator!!! I'm so excited! I've had 2 rounds of microneedling done this August & September. The first round went so well. My scars didn't disappear but my texture was so smooth. I regret getting the 2nd one. I felt like the PA who did the procedure purposely perform the procedure differently to cause me to get the procedure I have now. I have a feeling she purposely tried to ruin my results to keep me coming back. It's like everything reverse back to the old ways. I was expecting something so much more better the 2nd time. But unfortunately no. But I'm so excited! Ill seen be getting a subcision done for my rolling atrophic scars. And will be following the suction method and microneedling. But anyways does anyone know how fast can I expect to receive my derminator? I live in California, U.S. Thank you! Many blessings!

Im seeing real improvement since I started needling and just did treatment number 4 today. 2.0mm hurts more and draws quite a bit more blood than 1.5. I think I noticed more results this past 6 weeks than I did with the first two treatments at 1.5.

I went to my dermatologist yesterday for an acne checkup and we looked at my pictures from 2 years ago, and before any laser or needling treatments. We both said "wow" at the same time. My scars were obviously deeper than they are today. The clinical impression section of the summary report he gives me after each visit says "History of moderately severe scarring acne. Acne is completely clear. Scars have improved." While it was nice to see that, I still have a lot of work to do. Im hoping 2 years of needling every 6 weeks plus multiple subcisions and maybe TCA cross I will have 90% improvement from 2014 when I first started.

He offered to give me a copy of the before shots but I said no because I dont want to look at them. Maybe Ill post them here someday.

Congratulations Quan. If anyone here deserves improvement, it's you. Best of luck getting your skin to a place where you feel comfortable.

I've been dermaneedling my skin since 2012. I'm a big fan of needling, if and only if you have done thorough research on the subject . Hygiene, sterilization, and after care with vitamin A and C are all important. I've had GREAT results using a 1.5 dermastamp every 6-8 weeks on hyperpigmentation, a couple small acne scars, and fine lines. I'm in my early 30's and feel that needling is keeping my skin in good condition. Along with a healthy diet and exercise of course. Feel free to check out my pics. I have eradicated almost all of my skin issues except one expression line.

Ibought the derminator and its my favorite beauty gadget! It's much easier to use because I don't have to exert pressure to push the needles into my skin. Now I know that I'm getting even penetration of the treated areas. The "popping of the skin" sound still bothers me but I deal with it. I wouldn't be able to do it without EMLA, but I'm quite sensitive. The treatment is much faster using the derminator (what would take me 30+ minutes now only takes 10). I've had Fractionated Laser done in the past, and I have to say that I've gotten much better results using the derminator. And I've saved money to boot! I would definitely recommend it to anyone dealing with acne scars, as a stand alone treatment or in combination with subcision, peels, etc.

Has anyone heard anything about Einxel? It's being offered by my skin clinic in Korea. Looks similar to Infini RF.

If it is the same cost as infini it seems the same, go for it. Insulated rf microneedle system. They all have a similar principle if insulated an have minor tweaks. Its the operator over the machine which is most important with these. Too little depth and railroad track scabs, too deep and you hit fat. If the power is too high that's bad.

My derminator arrived today! :D I'm so excited to use it!!! Thank goodness I can cancel my next microneedling session. Can't believe I spent $700 on 2 sessions.

This is inspirational! I've just ordered lactic acid (80%- planning to dilute to various concentrations), to help with my needling. Will be introducing them in my third session! Super excited.

Good job and I hope you get the results you want!

tq

I always read about leds, topicals or peels to increase the collagen. But what about just eat and drink healthy?

I want to try it 'the natural' way.
Look up on the internet which fruits and veggies are good for the collagen, and make sure you eat at least one of them everyday.

I try to eat fruits and veggies everyday, and on top of that i make fresh juice by carrots, red pepper and orangejuice on a regular basis. Twice week a avocado-kiwi mask, 30 minutes on your face. And ofcourse the derminator every 6-8 weeks.

Exercise speeds up wound healing ergo your skin by improving blood circulation. So yeah, in general, a good lifestyle will improve your appearance. Keep it up; tackle this shit at all angles and you will see improvement albeit slowly.

My skin gets really dry after the derminator. The dryness last for days even though i use rosehip oil. Is this a common problem? The skin doesn't hurt though.

I experience the same thing. I also get a rough, dry and bumpy texture that lasts awhile, but I heard it's a somewhat common histamine reaction. And that you just shouldn't needle or use the derminator again until it goes away. I use an oil too...Fawnie's A.C.E. Oil, but the dryness persists. I heard this was normal, but I'm curious to hear if others experience the same?

So, my Derminator arrives yesterday.

Well, I start at 0,25 and there was some Pain, and I think, whoa, what would be at 1,5mm going on? But the Pain remains the same at 0,75 and even at 1,5. But there was a lot of more pointbleedings, different to the light Bleeding after a Dermaroller 1,5mm Session.

But only on the right Side of my Face. On the left Side I start at directly on 1,5. Both Sides are red, But the Bleedings on the right Side where much more prominent.

So, are the Step by Step higher Leveling(0,25,0,75,1,5) the reason?

Well, next try in 5 Weeks.

Ifinally bit the bullet and bought a derminator earlier this month.
Just had the chance to use it but can't get past set-up. Am I the only one getting the "cartridge's needles PUSHED INWARDS!" error message?

I submitted a ticket too hope it will get resolved.

I haven't seen that before or had any other issues with it.

Last saturday i did my 3rd derminator session and finally i get the hang of it. I did the same as Quan Henry, jackhammer the scars at 2.0 mm depth and then do the whole scarred area in circles. Quite some bleeding this time, the last two times there was much less blood.

I'm a bit worried now if 2.0 mm was too long... Perhaps i will try jackhammerstyle on 1.5 mm next time, see if i get the same amount of blood.

For now i only wash my face with water and use rosehipoil to moisturize. For me that works great.

BUMP

What is the downtime from a 2 mm treatment with 9 needles? How long is the face red and bloody for?

6-8 week downtime. 4 weeks might be okay but I would personally just wait the extra 14 days. You should only bleed during and immediately after treatment. Redness depends on how aggressive you needle. But generally, I would say 2-5 days.

yes I bought it from owndoc.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried using other needle cartridges such as from ebay onto the derminator machine? Is it safe and does it produce the same results. I'm asking as owndoc doesn't ship to my country and i've already asked but Sarah is very adamant about not shipping to my country.Any help is much appreciated

If I do a 2 mm treatment (9 needle cartridge) will I be ok to go into work the next day or will I look like a tomato?

I would advise doing it at the beginning of a weekend or break.
