is it the egg mask that's making your guys' skin soft? cuz I'm just doing the baking soda/acv in the morning, and I'm not really noticing any diff in the softness of my skin. I think the red marks are fading a bit, but that could just be me being really really hopeful! It's been 3 days and I'm diluting 1:6.
well i do beleive this may work for some, but it has only led me to breakouts i think. its recommended to exfoliate once a week so how can you do this everyday? so im gonna have to jump ship and just exfoliate once a week or maybe 2. but good luck to the rest of you i think im just gonna rely on pure deming for the marks i have. for me less may just be more. best of luck
I started doing this 3 days ago now. I don't have any ACV, so i have just been using the baking powder and the lemon and egg white mask. I think i have already noticed some results, although i'm never sure if my mind is playing tricks on me. I look forward to hearing people's feedback after they've been doing this for a month or so.
Also, even if you have perfectly clear skin, i recommend the lemon and egg white facial mask, just because it leaves such a healthy glow on the skin!
Thanks Delna, i'll buy some ACV and persist with this.
I was also wondering, is this a completely different method of removing red marks from the skin to natural healing, or is this just a way to speed up the fading of the marks, while natural healing takes place? If that makes sense.
Thanks again
This really does work!
I used this system last night, awoke this morning and noticed that my red marks are in fact, much less red. There was one spot in particular that I was keeping track of, and last night it was bright red, now after using your system once, that one spot is pink.
If my face looks this good after doing this once, I can't wait to see how it looks in a week, and even a month.
Delna, if I could hug you right now, I would.
HI EVERYONE...gosh, i didnt know i wd miss acne.org SOOOOOO MUCH when i left for my holidays! Hope all of u had a great week !! okay, now back to business...i'll try to clear up ur doubts...
- B.soda shd be used once a day to clean ur pores. apply the paste gently and massage. Wash immediately with clean water. a little sting is expected and it shd go away in a few minutes. b.soda is bicarbonate of soda and its used for many purposes including household cleaning. u can do a search on google to find out the various uses of b.soda. U WILL BE AMAZED!
- Dilute ur Apple Cider Vinegar depending on the sensitivity of ur skin. I use a 1:1 ratio and it works great. I had started with a 1:10 ratio when i started this regimen. i gradually increased it as my skin got used to the concentration. Again, a little sting shd be expected here too..Acv might make ur eyes water and ur skin a little flushed when u put it on...but u shd be fine in a while. if the redness doesnt go away, discontinue for 2 days and try a weaker solution. never apply acv neat..or in other words, without diluting it.
- theres no guarantee that this will work for everyone. every skin is different. but with the kind of response i got here, i am pretty sure this will work for most of u. And looking at my skin, u wont believe..I see a 50% improvement in my red marks...they have faded so so much. and my pores are getting tighter each day with the mask. im sure u will see results if u do this stubbornly for a while !! so being religious in ur routine is important. GOOD LUCK, ppl!
pimpleguy, when u said Olay total effects did u mean the lotion which comes with a black pump nozzle? if so, it wont work for u. it is not non-comedogenic though it is fragnance-free. that product works great for my husband. he has normal skin. its likely that ur pimples r caused by the lotion. i dont think B.soda or lemon when used in moderation can cause breakouts. Try Cetaphil or Eucerin(i havent used Eucerin but a lot of ppl seems to love it.)
Laura, if u have tried Acv and if u dint like it much, u can dilute lemon and water and use it instead to wash ur face after cleansing with b.soda. its a beautiful toner and it will refresh ur skin and prevent breakouts. no, dont use any toner containing salicylic acid. remember, the idea is to give ur skin some breathing space. u r putting on ur acne cream after toning, right? thats more than enuf for ur skin.
Matt, i really dont think tanning is a good idea. why do u think tanning sprays are so much in demand at the market? its coz ppl are becoming more and more aware of the harmful effects of the real thing. Sun (or a tanning bed) damages ur skin. Period. Dont do it.
havent tried the egg white substitutes..but hey,if it works as well as the real thing..and if thats easier for u..why not? personally, i wd suggest to use fresh ones as much as u can. + what do they mean by 99% egg whites? is there any preservative or something added? check all that before u use it.
bella_babe, Elixir, fugly, laurenalexis...u r so welcome!! im kinda over-whelmed at the response that my regimen is getting. More than that, im happy its helping u guys. keep up the good work!
matt588, accutane makes ur skin dry and sensitive. i wd not do anything until its healed completely. u wd be undoing all the good accutane did to ur skin.
janmcdougall, urs is a valid question. Strong acids and strong bases are harmful. Eg: Automobile battery acid(ph is zero!)...its a strong acid that can burn ur skin. Household drain cleaners(ph = 14) are strong bases...they can harm ur skin too. Mixing acids and bases can cancel out their extreme effects. What we r talking abt here, that is ACV (ph is 2-3)and B.soda(ph is 9) are a weak acid and a weak base. Ur question was whether B.soda will be fully removed with water before u use Acv. no need to worry there becoz water has a neutral ph and can act as both an acid and a base. It will cancel out the effects of any acid or base. hope this clears ur doubt.
frogs, Ur red marks come AFTER ur skin heals from pimples, right? so it does not do anything to ur healing process...ur healing depends on how smart ur white blood cells are, lol !! Acv is a natural bleach. it will fade ur spots faster. it works on the hyperpigmentation left after ur skin is healed..sort of like..reduce the effects of melanin on ur spots. I hope that answers ur question.
Hey Everybody
I just wanted to let you know about my experiences with this regimen. I am currently taking 10 grams of vitamin B5 per day. I am on day 45. At about day 30, I switched from my prior regimen (see below) to this regimen.
Prior:
Morning:
Wash in shower with Anthongy Logistics Acne Cleanser (2% Salicylic Acid)
Apply moisturizer
Night:
Wash in shower w Anth Log. Acne Cleanser
Shave (every other night)
Apply Anthony Logistics Nighttime Acne Treatment (2% SA)
I switched to Delna's method because what she said sounded good, about using an all natural gentle cleansing/exfoliating regimen. I did her regimen for almost two weeks, and my skin got progressively worse. I started breaking out a lot more and my skin tone was getting uneven and blotchy. I really wanted to and tried to give it a chance, but I finally said enough is enough. Within two days after switching back to my old regimen, my skin cleared up and it is continuing to clear up every day. My skin is looking great now.
I just want to warn everybody, that this regimen may not be for everybody. It certainly did not work for me. The only thing I did differently from Delna was that I did not use BP at all.
Good luck to everybody. If you are using her regimen, I hope it works for you. I just want everybody to know what I went through, and this may not be for everybody.
Delna- I'm glad your skin is looking good. Keep up the good work. Thanks for posting this regimen, though, becuase it is obviously helping a lot of people (just didn't for me).
Later.
Dave
i'm sorry this dint work for u, Dave . U r right. this regimen may not work for everybody. I really thought u were seeing good results with this..(from ur earlier posts). im sorry it dint. i knew my regimen may show fast results in some and slower in others. but i never thought this would give any adverse effects like breaking out more because all the stuff used are natural and in their mildest possible form for the delicate facial skin. its the best treatment i have ever done for my skin. Im glad that ur skin is now back to normal, Dave. its a relief to hear that really, coz i wd feel terrible if ur skin is not clearing up because u decided to give my regimen a try.
Im really concerned abt this. Im curious to know what products u used when u tried my regimen. i may have an idea why u broke out. u mentioned not using SA while u were on my regimen. not applying bp is okay, as long as u are using another acne cream. my idea was to clean(cleanser + b.soda) and tone (acv)the skin well before using an anti-acne product, and not skip the anti-acne treatment at all. i wonder if that is why u broke out. Without using an anti-acne product, my regimen wont work. Atleast thats what i think. do let me know what u think went wrong.
But im real glad u found ur cure. Atleast its working for u. here's Wishing u a clear skin...
take care..
- delna.

I think you may be right about the acne cream. It is probably an important step in your regimen. For me, however, BP always made my skin red (or pink). BP is good at killing the bacteria that's inside your pimples (feeding on sebum) but it doesn''t do anything to prevent new pimples from forming. It also is very irritating to the skin (at least to my skin). That is why your regimen is good for people who use BP - because it is gentle. I tried your regimen, and I gave it a good 2 weeks. Afte the first week, I started breaking out, but I really wanted to give it a shot, so I kept in up for another week. I continued to break out. When I went back with my SA, I cleared up almost overnight. Obviously, it took me the good part of a week, to really get rid of some of the big active pimples, but I noticed improvement immediately.
I'm actually glad that I tried this, though. I was having doubts prior to trying your regimen that the SA was really helping me. I thought that the B5 was helping, and perhaps the SA was hindering my B5 progress. Now I know 100% that the SA is very benficial to my skin clearing up. So thank you, Delna.
Another thing I have noticed is that I don't think any kind of scrub (no matter how gentle) is good for my skin. It always seems like it is good for the first couple of days, but inevitably I end up breaking out after about a week. I believe this to be true with the baking soda, even though I'm sure it is the gentlest scrub. I tried Botchla's regimen several months ago, and for the first few days it felt great, but I broke out so horribly after a week or so, that I was embarrased to go out in public. To top it off, I continued with it (I always like to give a new regimen the benefit of the doubt) and I continued to breakout horribly. The thing with an exfoliating scrub may have somehting to do with the fact that I am a man, therefore I shave. Shaving is a way to exfoliate your skin. So perhaps using a scrub after I have already exfoliated through shaving causes irritation. It may be necessary for women to exfoliate with a scrub since that is the only way to exfoliate your skin. Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
I wish you all continued success. If anybody is not clearing up fully satisfactorily with this regimen, you may want to incorporate vitamin B5 into the picture. I am super happy with my progress, and it has only been 45 days. Check out my thread in the Personal Regimen Logs section of this website. It is called Dave's B5 Progress.
Sorry, Delna, for the long post. I didn't mean to bogart your thread. I just hope that anything I may be able to input helps somebody out there achieve clear skin.
Good luck!
Dave
ok, Jus my 2 cents.... I tried this but kinda in a different way. I Dont wash my fave before the soda because the soda itself cleans ur face and I dont want to irritate my face anymore. Then I wash the baking soda off good and i mean really good because it has very tiny particle that can clog pores ao I repeat wash it all off!!!!!! then apply the dans bp gel and wait for it to dry and moisture. I would only do this twice a week cause if you exfolite to much its very aggravating to the skin....
So far my red mark are deminishing and scar appear smoother so you kinda gotta experiment.
Alright, I tried this for the first time last night. While it seemed a bit excessive at the time, cracking eggs and such, the results are worth it. I can already see a dramatic fading in the red marks, and I'm sure they will eventually be gone. Even if they hadn't faded I would've been pleased with just how much healthier my skin looks.
I'd been looking for awhile to find something to rejuvenate my skin, I feel like using so many products just left it dull and "sick". Finally, it can breathe again!
Now, my question. I'm not there yet, but once the red marks have cleared to a point where I'm happy, can I stop this regimen? I'll probably continue with the egg mask periodically, because it has such great results, but I'm wondering if these red marks will have faded permanently.
If anyone's had any experience with the post-regimen procedure, I'd love to here it! Thanks!
i am SO tempted to give this a try, but i am still on my accutane treatment.
darn.
i don't know about the rest of you but for me my red marks are usually lightered and more faded in the morning right when i wake up and they eventually darkened or get redder towards the evening. my point is if you had tried the delna's regimen and see an improvement THROUGHOUT the day then it really works for you.
