Update after 2 weeks of this regimen -

My skin is lovely and soft accross my cheeks, and the pores are much tighter. Skin on my cheeks almost looks *shock horror* normal!!! Red marks on my forehead hugely faded. Unfortunatly I had a huge breakout about a week ago (my time of the month mad.gif ) And I got more red marks from that. But the way this is going at the moment they should be looking better soon! I especially love the mask!!

OK if the mask consists of egg whites.....can I just buy one of those little cartons of egg whites from the store instead of whole eggs? eusa_eh.gif  Thanks!

Dave, no, u dint bogart my thread surprised.gif , my friend. I am always welcome to a different point of view smile.gif . What figures in the end is that each one is for their own when it comes to problems and sometimes we have to find our own cure. Sometimes when i think back to how many many different creams and lotions and cleansers i have tried in my quest for clear skin...i feel like kicking myself in the back.."WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING mad.gif ??" Whatever i did just made my acne worse. Anyway, whats done is done. And we r all hoping to undo what we did to our skin for years. It may take a while. But theres no turning back now...

Thanks for ur appreciation, Dave biggrin.gif . i wish u all the best too. Keep us posted with ur progress, ok?

memorandum, u dont have to continue this regimen after u have achieved ur results. u can just do a maintenance program by cleaning ur skin, applying ur acne cream and protecting it from the sun. once ur red marks are gone, u can do the mask once a week or so. Also, u can do a home facial(steam, cleanse thoroughly, apply face mask, wash, run an ice-cube over to close pores) every fortnight or so, just to keep the skin nice and supple without blackheads and whiteheads.

For all you guys trying out this regimen, just thought i should mention this.

U can use any anti-acne cream with this regimen. U can use any which contains either Salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. I used Proactiv's BP lotion earlier but now that its over, i switched to Neutrogena on-the-spot. It works better than Proactiv actually! U can use ANY acne cream, as long as u use it! This regimen might not work for you if u skip the acne cream. Lets face it, we have to use an acne cream for the rest of our lives cry.gif ! u never know when that P.acne bacterium decides to attack eusa_boohoo.gif !

Take care all of you! Lets hear more and more success stories!!!

Hi, I've been using Delna's method for about two weeks now. WOW! What an improvement with my skin. I don't feel the need to use heavy foundation on my face to hide all my red marks because they have faded. I haven't had a significant breakout since I started this. I'm not using soap any more to clean my face. I use olive oil to take off all my makeup, then I use baking soda to wash my face, then I apply the ACV full strength. (it doesn't irritate my skin). Then at night I use the egg white mask with lemon juice. I've decided to start using all natural products right from the kitchen on my face. I feel great that I'm not at the beauty counter spending hundreds of dollars on face products. Less is more when your skin looks healthy. I hope it stays that way. I'm going to continue this. Thanks Delna, you are awesome for posting this procedure. Thank you a million times!!!!

Delna, I have been using your method together with Dans for more than 2 weeks. I am totally happy with my face now: clear and red marks fading. Thanks for posting this eusa_boohoo.gif

Now for convenience, I like to use Botchlas at night (2 CnC washes: scrub for SA and cleanser for BP, nothing leave-in at night.) I know you said NO SCRUB, but my skin can handle BS+AVC morning, and 2 CnC at night. I've done it for 2 days, and great feeling, plus 100% clear.

I have a bit of trouble to fit the lovely mask into 2CnC washes at night. Idea (maybe you know alrerady) is that 2 CnC washes must be back to back. So mask must be either before or after the washes. If after, I'm afraid of taking away the BP left from the wash that's supposed to stay on my face over night. If before, i think i would loose the effects of Vitamin A in egg-white that should also stay on my face over night, especially to repair my skin that is a bit damaged from 4 months on Dans (wrinkles in forehead etc)! Well that's what I think and i hope. I'm not sure.

So my question is: do you think egg- white and lemon mask is to clean your face more or to repair/firm/reverse aged skin? Here it seems to say something about egg-white cleaning face http://www.chennaionline.com/style/Beautyt...tytips/acne.asp

Tell me what you think about egg-white. It would help me to fit it into my regimen.

Again, your method is great. You guys with red marks out there, you should keep doing this, or insert it into your regime if you have time and if your skin can handle it.

Thanks, Delna. Or if anyone could help with understandings about egg-white mask, I appreciate your replies.

Hey everyone this sounds really nice. Are u guys lookin at ur skin at night?? Skin always looks better right after waking up. What I want to know is if the difference is because of the method used. You guys are sure the difference is noticeable at night too?

Well, I have been using this method for a week now combining it with multivitamins. My result is good on some area and not much imrovement on others. Some acne did pop up but i'm thinking that this is due to the exfoliation effect of baking soda and vinegar. My red/brown area really turns red and is fading-albeit-slowly. I have these red/brown mark for 4 years now so any improvement for me is good. I will update every week or so. Take care everybody.

Is it okay to leave the ACV on all night, or do you have to wash it off?

delna, sounds great. i'll try that. yeah i love the mask. i feel great after each time doing it. it's a great stuff.

Micheal66, i think u should experience yourself and see how ur skin tolerate ACV. In vinegar/lemon thread, they advice u to leave it on. Delna advice us to wash it. There are ppl who see great results in both ways. So maybe u can try with washing it off first, then when u r used to ACV, try to leave it on. It also depends on how bad ur red marks are, etc.

I started doing the baking soda/vinegar last night. It seemed to even out my skin tone very nicely. Thank you. I would like to try doing the egg white/lemon juice meathod, but I don't have any lemons. But I do have some little clementine oranges. Do you think it would be the same if I mixed fresh orange juice with the egg whites?

Does the regimen require specifically ACV or can another vinegar be used? Is there a difference between apple cidar vinegar and apple cidar flavored vinegar?

I stumbled upon this thread 4 days ago, and instantly ran to the shops looking for the "ingredients" smile.gif sounded too good to be true but warrented a try, at least it sounded better than that "give them time, few months or so" remedy my doc said.

My usual red cheeks and chin have gone! Skin tone seems to have evened out considerably, and a couple of RAMS (Red Angry Mothers) are not so red anymore, a couple have shrank to sub-zit size, they seem to heal faster now. I'm usually the most sceptical person going, but i'm glad i trusted Delna's sincere tone on this one, colour me impressed!

Am wearing the egg mask right now, it feels good in an almost dirty kind of way wink.gif

Thanks Delna!

I'm using a store-bought bottle of egg whites. The ingredients say 100% egg whites, and it's been working well for me thus far.

Delna,

Thank you for giving me my face back!!!!

I went off the birth control pill a few months ago and my skin freaked out. I had cysts and awful acne. The red marks left have been horrible. I have used every product that I've read about on this site: tea trea oil, hydrocortizone cream, emu oil, aloe, ACV, BP, SA, Retin A (which gave me worse red marks), Bactroban, hot compresses, ice, and every kind of "gentle cleanser" and moisterizer out there!

I just got nucelle's mandelic acid and have been using it for about 5 days. I wasn't sure if you're regimen would be beneficial and I really wanted to give the mandelic a shot.

To make a long story short, I've been doing the mandelic once a day for 5 days and I've used your regimen for only three days and my skin is clear and virtually red mark free. I wish that I had taken a before picture. It's truly astonishing.

I think the mandelic has stopped the break outs ( i love that stuff too - I should thank Apple for her diligent postings about it) but this regimen has given me my skin back. My skin tone is even and my red marks are barely noticible without make up. I just did this regimen for the third time about ten minutes ago. I can't wait to put my make up on.

I wish I had known about this earlier. What a wonderful gift you've given me. You are awesome.

The only problem I have with this site is that everyone posts products that don't work or their disaster stories. I know it's hard when you're desperate and disappointed all you want to do is vent. But it takes the extra effort to post something that works and share it with the world. You rock girl.

Everyone needs to try this. Don't be scared of ACV. The key is dilute dilute dilute. The baking soda is the best exfoliant ever. I know that mandelic is an exfoliant too but the baking soda is so gentle that it just helps the mandelic to shed the skin. And the egg mask is lovely. I don't have time to do that every day so once my red marks are 100% gone (which at this rate will be in a few more days) I'll probably cut back on doing them to a few times a week.

Who knew that natural kitchen products could work so fast.

Thank you thank you thank you.

PS I'm thinking of changing my screen name because that's not how i feel anymore at all!

re: baking powder versus baking soda

Baking powder at its simplest is just two part baking soda plus one part cream of tarter. Cream of tartar is sometimes added to dilute vinegar to be used as a toner, so I don't think it's dangerous for your skin...

On the other hand, commercial baking powders may have other ingredients such as aluminia or anti-caking agents, and I couldn't vouch for those.

micheal66, I agree with 'aaaa'. u have to discover what works best for u. The reason i stress that it shdnt be left on all day is coz vinegar is a natural bleach and bleaches dry out the skin. Hey, but if ur skin can take it, why not?

iswimalot, orange is also good for the skin. But i have not heard of a combination of eggwhite and orange. if u r planning to try it, pls do a test patch on ur arms, behind ears and on one small part of face before u use it all over.

new_personality, u shd use pure Apple cider Vinegar and not the flavoured ones.

laurenalexis, joetheblow... wub.gif u r welcome...!

aksjdf, beat ur eggwhite lightly with a fork to make it frothy. yes, 1 tbsp is a little too much for face since its a little runny. but u will find that if u take lesser than this, it wont be enuf! So.....

hopeless2...u SHOULD change ur name, lol lol.gif !!! thank u so much...u made me blush with all that praise...im glad this is working for u!
