yeah i tried the egg mask too. i wasnt sure how it was going to go... and i was suuuper grossed out while putting the slimey egg on my face.. but it dried in about 8 minutes and i left it on for a little more than 10.. it kinda stung a little? maybe that was the lemon.. im not sure what kinda results i was supposed to get - but i only did it once. my face felt nice though
1 tablespoon of egg-white whipped up + a squeeze of lemon (dont put too much). smooth it over ur face..avoid eye area... wash off in 10 minutes....and look at a NEW REJUVENATED YOU!! eusa_dance.gif
Can you explain how you do egg white? Also, is neutrogena acne fact lotion fine for my spot treatment b/c i hate using BP since it prelongs red marks. Also, do i have to you baking soda or can i use aspirin mask instead.
hi delna when you exfoliate using the baking soda are you supposed to immediately put it on your face and not dry it after cleansing? and when i got out of the shower i had a million white flakes that were wet on my skin? Are you supposed to rub them off in the shower or wut? I want to know how to get rid of those flakes that are causing terrible hyperpigmentation and terrible skin tone!
Hi first post
I bought ACV in a shop its just called cider vinegar though not apple cider vinegar..
Also i was reading up on it, is it better if it has the mother in the bottle?
Im having doubts about drinking it, have read posts about it eroding the teeth, is their a perfectly safe way to combat this?
So i tried the egg lemon mask today. It felt strange but i am going to keep doing it for the next few days unless i break out into a mess again....
I took the step of bottling it as well, considering i was only using about a 5th of the whole mix.
Has anyone else who used it felt like their face could crumble because of when the egg dries up it seemed to me like it felt it was dehydrating my skin.... and its a shaft up da ass to wash off!!!!
also can you eat the mix when your done? lol
This sounds great, I'm going to run to Tesco in a bit and get some eggs, more ACV (I'm drinking it morning and night atm but will do both now) baking soda and some Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gell as my current tea tree moisturiser doesnt seem to do much, and aloe vera sounds like it will be much more refreshing, plus it's bright green!
Can anyone suggest a good on the spot treatment to use after the ACV? I use Neutrogenas Rapid Clear Treatment at night at the moment, but that's no good to use in the morning, because it leaves residue and you can't put makeup over it, I may just scrap this completly becaue it doesn't seem to be doing much I'm clear on everything else, I just need a good on the spot treatment to get rid of my angry spots!!
Okay, I tried the egg white and lemon mask last night, and at first nothing spectacular happened, but about 10 minutes after washing it off my skin felt amazing!! I then applied a Tea Tree spot treatment roll on stick that I found in Tesco, and went to bed.
I usually wake up with really angry red spots, and a few of them have turned into big whiteheads (NOT nice) but to my surprise and delight, this morning my spots were faded and more 'normal' looking. I was sooo happy! I then did the baking soda 'safe scrub' mixed into a paste with my Biore cleanser and then did the ACV solution and my spot treatment and so far so good, my skin is softer and smoother than before! I used to use Neutrogena's Pure Glow facial pads to exfoliate every morning, and I thought they were fine but it turns out they've just been aggravating my skin, this regimen is amazing!!!
I'm going to jump on the badwagon and thank Delna over and over for sharing this! I will keep updating over the next few days as to whether this great improvement continues!
I've stopped drinking the ACV morning and night, as it was really upsetting my stomach, and I didn't see any improvement after a week of taking it, so I'd rather skip the tummy aches and odd grumbles and just apply it on my face haha!
If you havn't tried this amazing regimen yet, I advise that you do!!!
I asked for baking soda in the supermarket the other day and she brought me over to the cookery stand and picked out bread soda(beside baking powder) i checked the ingredients and it just said bicarbonates of soda.... So is this the right thing, im from Ireland so maybe its just named differently over here?

I have been drinking ACV and applying topically for just over one week now and I have DEFINITELY noticed an improvement. even my boyfriend who in the beginning thought I was dabbling in some strange witchcraft/old wive's tale stuff said to me, "Whatever you're doing is really working." I am taking photos along the way and will post later. ACV really works..at least for me! good luck to all!

I used the mask last night.
All I have to say is, WOW..
For the last 2 months or so I've been using a SA based Facial wash, ACV 3x's a day topically, and 2 tbsp ACV orally. This regimen made my skin look great, but only limited my breakouts.
A few days ago I started exfoliating with baking soda, and I loved the results.
Last night I ran across this topic, and I found that all I lacked from this regimen was the BP and egg mask.
[i used Duac for a year with good results (5% BP), but I am lacking a dermatoligist atm b/c of moving out of my house and losing my medical insurance.]
So I am gonna keep up with this cycle minus the BP and see where I end up. I am loving the results thus far.
i tried this and the baking soda, although its much finer than other scrubs,
still irritates like a scrub!!!!!!!! I broke out badly and am still recovering 2 weeks later..
i also think the acv and egg mask dried out my skin horribly.
if you have active acne, DO NOT TRY THIS regimen until you are completely clear! PLEASE!
i really regret doing this

I'd love to see photos! I've been using ACV for about 4 days and I really haven't noticed anything but drier skin yet. I mix 50/50 water and ACV and use it once or twice a day. What have you been doing?
Thanks!
Thank you Delna for sharing this.
I'm trying this regimen started 2 days ago, and my face has become much better.
Although I still have these 3 pimples, I can handle it with Garnier Pure SOS blemish clear pen (it works amazing). Although I was previously using BP, ACV, and baking soda with no or little result, I think I was doing it wrongly. Now I start to treat my face gentler and doing this regimen, my face has never been this clean before.
This is how I'm doing it.
Morning:
1. Wash my face with Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne wash. I foamed it on my hand and gently massage it to the face.
2. I pat my face half-dry using towel and tone my face with ACV for 10 minutes. I also put baking soda paste on my pimples and let it dry along with the ACV toning while I'm showering.
3. After showering, I apply BP cream (can't find 2.5% so I'm using 5% instead), let it dry, and then apply moisturizer.
Evening:
1. Clean the face using L'oreal Gentle Milk cleanser (I was used to clean my face with milk cleanser before washing it with soap) and wipe it with tissue.
2. I wash my face with warm water to wash the milk residue off. After patting my face half-dry, I use the baking soda scrub and roll the tip of my finger to do gentle massage all over the face. I really suggest to do this in front of the mirror. I was previously just rub the face with the scrub, sometimes using my palm, and it irritates my skin so much.
3. I wash my face again and apply ACV toner. I'm doing ACV 2x a day since my acne marks are terrible. When applying toner I can see how clean my face now and the marks are started to reduce. I also apply soda paste on my pimples. I wash it 10 minutes later.
4. After showering I use the egg-white mask.
5. I use the BP cream plus moisturizer again, because I sleep on room with air conditioner.
My skin has improved much. so far no new acne was developed. The blackheads and white heads are gone and I can see my face much clearer and smoother, mind not the acne marks and the 3 remaining bumps.
The egg-white mask is really tightening, so I starte to swipe it in upward direction so it will lift the skin up. I'm planning to use mask brush to apply it more evenly.
My questions about these regimens are:
1. do we have to whip the egg-white? What is the difference between applying whipped egg-white and non-whipped one?
2. I'm doing my activities all day long in air-conditioned rooms. The AC really tightening my skin! When I'm still in the bathroom, the skin feels so nice and moisturized. As soon as I enter my room, it is tightening so much. I didn't know whether my skin is dry or oily or dehydrated. I'm using L'oreal Hydrafresh for Combination to Oily skin (no SPF) to add hydration. Does anyone suffer this too?
3. If my skin is actually dry, can I use egg yolks for mask? Or maybe the whole egg (yolk+white)?
I'm also searching for a good moisturizer. Do you have any suggestion for a good OTC moisturizer? Are moisturizers from brands like Body Shop, SK-II, Etude, Clinique, etc any good?

im curious path how hard did u scrub ur face for it to irritate it and did u dilute the acv and wash it off.... coz i tried this for my breakouts and it really worked for me.. i stopped once i got the desired results..for now i juss use bp cream for the breakouts and my skins under control completely...
2) exfoliate
avoid all scrubs..no matter how mild they claim to be. but how do we exfoliate, do u ask??? oh thats easy...and DIRT CHEAP too!!! 2 WORDS- BAKING SODA!
she says that she has not come across any acne-prone patients who has benefitted from scrubs. it may work for a while in some...lead to initial happiness..yeah, and then lead to final gloom when breakouts appear from everywhere...even the areas where it was break-out free in the beginning! SO NO SCRUBS PPL

Well after doing this for about a week or so the results have slowed and my skin is terrible again. I have massive angry red spots that fill with fresh pus every day, they hurt and sometimes itch. I'm getting really down about it I'm going to see if I can get a doctors appointment next week.
At first the baking soda was fantastic but now it hurts like hell to do! I'm being very gently but it just stings!
I don't know what to do
Ive been doing this for around 5 days now i think it is. Im getting some spots in areas where they werent really coming before, would this be a sign of the baking soda or mask causing me to break out or will it usually get rid of the rubbish out of your skin first before improving it?
I've been doing this regimen for 5 days and my skin had never been this better.
I was suffering the itchy and terrible dry skin from this regimen, especially because I lives in very cold and dry air (air-conditioned) although the climate in my country is tropical. Since the regimen has succesfully clearing my acnes, all I have to find now is good moisturizer.
I went for hunting good moisturizer last weekend. Planned to go for Cetaphil but the only variant available here was for chronic and sensitive dry skin. I have basically moderate-oily skin but very dry on the surface, so I was concerned this product will make my face more oily. I finally decided to use Sekkisei skincare line from Kose (since I'm Asian and I think Asian product works better for my skintype). The product is very pricey!!!! but worth for it! I can feel my face moisturized very well. It feels really good especially after using the egg-white mask. Go for the Lotion and Emulsion, they're really good. Unfortunately this product contains alcohol and fragrance, so you might want to go for the sample first.
