I tried this regimen for about two weeks and I'm sad to say that my face worsen. Although some of my brown spots kind of lighten, my face turned really really oily and red. I thought it's because doing it twice a day just aggrevated my skin most probably because of the baking powder and the cider vinegar. But I'm glad that this regimen works for other people. It's just not for me
I have olive skin and use to have the best complextion, but now in my early 20's my face has exploded for some reason. Not so much as break-outs but when I do get a pimple its a large one the forms deep under my skin, like a really hard core and most the time it hurts to touch it. I try not to squeeze it because 1 it hurts and 2 nothing comes out it just gives me a red/brown/brusing mark on my face. And if I leave it alone it never comes to a head, it just stays there and I have what looks like a lump under my skin.
Hey, I know exactly what you mean. I have olive skin too because I am part Asian. Sometimes I get a little pimple here or there but mostly it is just like you said. I used to have this reoccurring thing that was in the middle of my forehead, right between my eyes. I might, as well painted it red, it was so horrible and most times it would stay more than a month. I hate my skin. My face and my body are completely different. I have a nice olive tan and smooth skin most of the year but my face is pale with red blotches, scars and bumps under the skin. I just read up on this cool new regimen. I am going to try it and see...
OMG is right! I'm going to be late for work b/c I just read this and HAD to try. I was getting really frustrated (day 7 - huge pimples going away, not much change tho with the blackheads and such, less oily but REALLY FLAKY, esp. around eyes) and am excited to see what the acv and the egg mask does. I have egg on my face right now (so to speak) and it is tightening up like I can't even believe. Wow, I hope this works. It's so simple and SOOOO cheap, and it sounds way too good to be true... but how can a post be 60 pages long if it sucks? Crossing my fingers...
delna, I just wanted to say thank you for starting this thread! I had never heard of using baking soda before and I have been using it since I found your thread. I use only the baking soda and not the vinegar or egg whites, but the red marks are fading just with just the baking soda. Even old ones that I thought were permanant are fading slowly but surely. The other benefit is that I have my acne completely under control. I had it mostly under control already, but the baking soda scrub seems to have been that final thing it took to get rid of acne all the way. I tried forever to figure out regimens that weren't too expensive or tedious that I could actually do, and this seems to be the cheap and easy last step in my regimen that I was looking for. Thank you!
So i have been a reader for a long time and decided to add my story to this thread. I did not try the egg white mask, only the ACV and baking soda. (don't think the baking soda is doing much) The first two days I started using ACV and baking soda, my skin was SO dry and peeled big time! Main reason is because I only diluted ACV 1:2 part of water. It burnt my skin bad. Second reason is that I am on Tazaroc and duac. Then, I stop using ACV and baking soda for like two days and use Payot hydrating mask to get over the peeling. Now, I diluted my ACV 1:4 water and my skin is looking great! I still use baking soda with gentle cleanser and no egg white mask (too much work). Red marks are definitly fading away!! BTW, my acne marks turned dark almost brown first before they lighten up. Now, they are getting smaller and lighter color. It really works!!!
Morning:
Olay cleanser with baking soda
ACV and water toner
Duac (I will replace this with the 2.5% BP soon)
Cetaphil daily facial moisturizing spf 15 (it keeps the flaky skin away and my makeup looks better)
Evening:
Olay anti-aging anti-blemish cleanser
ACV and water (wash off after it dries)
Payot eye cream
Tazaroc
Payot 24 hydrating cream
Thanks for the great idea of ACV and baking soda

Read the first 8 pages......I think it should be 1:8 acv=1 teespoon of acv ,8 teespoons of water then mix it....later to make it stronger just add less water....
