several times it was noted this regimen is good for people using BP as well.

What if you don't use BP and normally just wash w/ water? Any of you not using BP and using this treatment and getting the good results?

I Agree.

I know one of the posters said their boxcar scars were much better. How deep are they? What is the exact regimen and amount of ingredients you used to see this improvement? How long did it take? Anyone else have scar improvement from this regimen or just lightening of marks?

Ok, so I'm trying this right now, first I cleansed with proactiv. then i did the baking soda thing, which felt sooo very soothing and it just felt good, i recommend you do that just for the heck of it lol. When I rubbed my face afterwards, there was friction. It was kind of hard to smoothly rub my hand down my cheek. So I did the vinegar and water thing next, and that was weird. The vinegar smelled bad (well duh). But after rinsing it off, my face felt SO SMOOTH. It makes since that the original poster said that it will balance out the baking soda. So now I have egg on my face. LOL. I didn't really think of how weird that one would be. But when you start rubbing it in your face, it is weird. It's kind of hard to keep in your hands too, will have to find some sort of strategy there. But when you let it dry... it feels SO WEIRD. It's dried right now and my face feels really tight. Ok, I'm gonna wash it off. Alright, washed the egg off... and applied the acne medicated lotion (proactiv repairing lotion) and i must say that not only does my face feel fresh, but i feel so much more awake. I like the idea of baking soda, because it makes sense that it would exfoliate, plus it's really cheap. This was my first time though... I'll try to keep posted.

The egg mask got onto my neck abit.

After it dried... the skin got REALLY tight on my neck.

I just looked over my shoulder and my skin almost ripped, literally.

It caused a terrible burn lol...

But I'll still be doing it I think.. always giving stuff a chance.

Would you think the regimen still works if you skipped the egg/lemon step? Just wanted to know.

I think it would work just as good. The baking soda and vinegar seem to be enough of a base/acid to balance the PH, the egg is more of an alternate face mask if you ask me.

I'm a little confused by the order of the process.

You say to put things on like acne medication and afterwords exfoliate then wash off. After that, you say to put on a protein mask then wash off again..

Doesn't the washing in the later steps remove the previously applied medications?

The very first step is to use a cleanser... and then baking soda... vinegar... egg... and then acne medication.

What I do is put the Vinegar in a small bottle. Then I take a cotton ball and tip a little of the vinegar on the cotton ball. Then I just swab my whole face. Keep it for 10 minutes and wash off.

I don't have any apple cider vinegar.. never even heard of it.

Are there any other alternatives?

Also, can I just exfoliate with a st.ives exfoliater...?

Can i use red wine or salad vinegar? (5% acetic acid)

Oh ya.. and can someone please explain why you can't use the yolk in the egg mask?

Someone told me that egg yolk clogs pores so it's best just to use the egg whites. Sometimes I just leave the acv on my face and sleep with it on when I do it at night.

Hello, Delna.

I am new to this forum and I came across this thread. I would like to try your regimen. But, due to the world is currently facing bird flu crisis, I am afraid i dont dare to use an uncooked egg on my face. I would like to know is there any alternative to replace 'egg' in your regimen?

Hope to hear you soon, thank you very much.

I have a question...

if this regime is to neutralise your appropriate PH balance, why not just use a skin care product like johnson and johnson PH 5.5? wouldnt that work the same?

Im not saying i doubt the regime, its just (as im sure you all know), after trying so many apparent 'miracle' regimes with absolutely no success, im starting to lose all hope!

I have been doing the egg mask, and it really tightens my pores which feels good. But I think it was the Aveeno Clear Complextion foaming cleanser that was making my skin dry and flaky. So I switched to Cetaphil and its not irratated anymore or dry. The moisteriser is awesome!

But about the egg mask..its good stuff, thanks for the suggestion.

Personally I am scared to use the ACV..because I have read posts that i burnt peoples skin, and they had skin similar to me..so no thanks..I have been using the Baking soda on my back though, its helped dramticly..but I am very scared to use it on my face...:(

I'm not doubting your judegement on the ACV but I think the reason it burnt people's faces was because they didn't dilute it enough.. Maybe they started too high like 1:3. Just a suggestion. I'm going to try it on my back tonight if it works like you said. Thanks! :surprised:

5.5 is a "neutral" pH, but not the "neutral" you want for your face. your face is actually naturally acidic, w/ a pH higher than 5.5. So, the ACV is a perfect follow up to the baking soda theoretically. pH "balanced" = zits

a suggestion...

bakin soda + vinegar (10 minutes)...in the morning after you have cleansed your face.

vinegar (10 minutes) and then egg white mask with a twist of lemon (15-20 minutes)...at night after you have cleansed your face.

so basically the only difference i've made is to apply vinegar twice a day. :D

works like a charm

this formula has worked for me, but a drying affect will occur (especially during the cold season), so moisturizer will be needed.
