First of all, thank you so much for sharing this cool method. I've only done it for two days up til now, but I feel and look ten times better. I didn't really have any active acne apart from a little bump here and there sometimes, but all the red marks, well, I've had them all over my cheeks for more than a year now (though my skin was worse back then). Finally, I can notice a change and it _is_ a lot smoother and softer and the pores are tiny now. Thank you, delna!!

I've noticed the same thing about BP, it actually makes my skin bright red where I apply it in no time at all, like 10 minutes afterwards. I won't use it anymore. I also use something called Isotrexin, which contains istretoin like Accutane, but also erythromycin and a bunch of other stuff I'm too lazy to type. (but the first two are the active ingredients). That's a lot better than BP, I think.

If this keeps on working the way it does, I can post a photo soon of a girl you'll never know even had acne. Yay!! biggrin.gif Thanks again!

Hmmm do you have to do it morning/night? What about afternoon? When I wake up I have barely any time because of school so most is just a quick wash, so will it be okay to do it in the afternoon?

Holy shit this is actually working on both my acne and scars!!!!

I say its working faster on my acne then on the scars. All i do is wash my face in the morning with ivory soap and put moisterizer and then in the afternoon i wash my face with ivory soap and then with baking soda and then i apply vineger and then the some acne cream.

I haven't tried it yet, but perhaps you can used ENER-G EGG REPLACER instead of real egg whites.  I'm vegan, but I have no problem using animal products (I just don't injest them).  Also you can try JUST EGG WHITES which is powder form egg whites (but it's made from real eggs, ENER-G isn't)

Just a suggestion, let me know if it works out smile.gif

I picked up some Ralphs brand Apple Cider Vinegar but not sure if it is right. It say it is reduced with water to 5% (50grains) acidity. Is that the right stuff? Still dilute this to 1 part ACV and 8 part water to begin with? Also just heard from my uncle that drinking a little of the stuff is good for you.... wtf?

Hey guys, I've tried the topical program before for four days. I think the baking soda and apple cider vinegar helped with some of the dark marks, but it kind of irritated my skin and some minor pimples started showing. I'm not consistent with the baking soda and vinegar though, I'm afraid that if I do it everyday that I'll start breaking out. Oh yeah, I'm also not using the egg mask with lemon juice, I have tried the egg mask before with the yolk, and it broke me out so bad. I'm really scared to do the egg mask even though it is only using the whites.

Here is what I'm doing:

Morning

Wash face with warm water and let the pores open.

Put a nickel size of Triaz (9% BP cleanser) and gently massage into face.

Then I wash it off with cool water, and pat dry.

Apply a dime to a nickel size of Cetaphil Daily Moisturizer SPF 15.

Afternoon

Get home from school, take a warm shower.

Then I take a cool shower for like 2 minutes to close the pores.

Meh, the only reason why I take a shower after school is that I have very oily skin.

Evening

I do the baking soda and apple cider vinegar program.

Apply Clearasil and go to bed.

I don't know if I should use the BP cleanser or not, or use a cleanser with no acne medication. I have tried substituting Triaz with L'Oreal Ideal Balance Foaming Cream Cleanser, but I have my doubts because I'm afraid the Kaolin clay would remove too much oil and making my face produce more oil.

My skin right now is pretty oily with some blackheads and red pimples. I also have alot of dark marks (I'm asian) around my cheeks, forehead, and nose. I'm pretty much a newbie, and still testing out alot of stuff.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

hey everyone.. this thing is amazing. I keep the ACV on all night rather than just washing with it. But is there a way of the regimen not getting rid of your tan + making u paler. Is it the ACV or the baking soda that does that? Also if i just used the ACV as a wash or mask instead of having it on all night would that lessen the whitening? thanks

Hello,

Does this only work on the face? Or will it also work for marks on back, shoulders and upper arms?

Are your guy's ACV diluted already? Mine say reduced with water to 5% acidity strength. Hmmm..... should I get a undiluted one?

I have a question... is it possible to do the ACV/BS and egg routine while using Tretinoin Cream, USP?

About the ACV being 5%....mine is exactly the same. And it works well. I think that 5% is the standard.

About the Tretinoin Cream, im not not sure. I mean this regimen already is pretty harsh on your skin. Ask your dermatologist.

About the steps:

1. Wash face with cleanser or facial bar soap.

2. Get BS, couple teaspoons...I dont think you have to be exact. Just pour some into a small bowl or something. Then mix it up with a very small amount of water. Just untill it becomes BARELY pastey. Then, with your face wet(and rinsed off) gently rub the BS mixture on your face.

Rinse off.

3. Dry your face.

4. Apply Vinegar mixture with cotton ball. Start off with very diluted mixture. Meaning 1 ACV to 7 water(teaspoons or whatever). After several days increase it to 1:6 ratio....etc....untill it is a 1:1 ratio.

5. Wait 10 minutes.

6. Wash ACV off and then dry.

7. EGG MASK. (1 tablespoon eggwhite with a squeeze of lemon). Make sure you mix it up very well. I usually put more than a tablespoon of egg white. Get it all over your face evenly distributed.

8. wait 15 minutes or more. Just wait untill it all dries up

9. Rinse face off

10. Dry face and wait 10 minutes. lol...brush your teeth or something

11. Apply BP cream. I just love dan's gel. It is much better then Neutrogena on the spot.

12. wait 5 mins and apply the moisturizer if needed....

hey guys.therebis another methos u can use and its all natural too. get i tablespoon indian chickpre flour or its known as besan to indians. then get half tablespoon of honey and natural yogurt and add a few drops of lemon juice. misx it ll together and apply on the face until the mask goes hard, so roughly 10 - 15 mins. then rinse off with warm water. do it twice a week after ypu have cleansed. trust me u will glow from the honey, the chickpea flour takes away grime, yoghurt cools the skin and lessens blemishes and marks. the lemon juice will help fade the marks. do it for a couple of weeks to see a difference. trust me, it wont break u out more. have fun!!!!!!

love this regimen. it's making a huge difference on the red marks and skin however, since starting it 5 days ago my skin has become really dry and flaky. I don't want to stop the regimen due to results, just looking for some help. Anyone know?

i use emu oil and the moisturizer by rodan and fields. its not the proactive but the other on rodanandfields.com. if you get the emu oil make sure you get certified oil cause some of them are not certified and are rancid (eww). the best i have found so far is from uniquelyemu.com.

Am definitely gonna give this a try. I have tons of brown marks leftover from body acne and I really hope to get rid of them. I'm currently on Accutane though, but it's a very mild dose.. 10mg/day.. mostly for my back. My arms have not had active acne for ages (but brown marks are still there), so I think I'll try Delna's regimen on my arms first! Can't wait for the day I can go out in a tank top eusa_pray.gif

I have a few questions, though:

After going through the thread, I read something about people breaking out because they skipped the acne cream step. The thing is, I'm not using any acne cream for my arms (since there's no active acne). Is it safe to then skip that part of the regimen and just do the baking soda, ACV combo only?

Secondly, does the egg white help lighten scars or tighten pores? Since I'm primarily concerned about my arms, is it ok to skip the egg white mask too? Or does it also help in fading brown marks?

Thirdly, I also read somewhere that the baking soda and vinegar combo should only be used once a day. However, I'm assuming that's for the face? I've heard that the skin on the body is thicker and more tolerant than our delicate facial skin. If that's the case, is it safe for me to do the baking soda and ACV thing twice a day; morning and night?

Thanks in advance!!

hi guys this remedie does sound convincing but

i dont know about AVC i have tried it before and it gave me little bumps on some red scars and aroudn the face (or atleast i think it did) and it didnt really help with the red marks

.. but i will try the baking soda ... emm it is ok to just do the baking soda part? and skip the AVC? but then woudlnt the skin be unbalanced?

and i will also try the egg mask cant wait biggrin.gif

thx
