Quick question (sorry if it's been asked before):

Can I do this regimen when I have some active acne? Up until last week I was completely clear, but for some reason I just got a few zits. Plus the huge red marks on my cheeks I've had for weeks and weeks...

Ok what exactly is Baking Soda? Is it used in baking or is it a cleaning product?

My mum was concerned that it's be strong and not suitable as she thought it was a cleaning product...

Can anyone clear this up for me here? eusa_think.gif

It can be all used for all the above. Its basic properties are somewhat balanced by the vinegay.

Make sure you get baking soda not powder....

I find that the supermarket sells baking soda right next to baking powder, only the baking soda isn't always called baking soda. I bought this 400gr salt-like container that said Bicarbonate. I'm sure that's it though.

In the meantime, anyone who can answer my question above? Can I use this whole regimen while I have a few active zits, or is this stricly for red marks?

I know that it says I'm suppose to use a cleanser for sensitive skin. Well, I already have one by Cetaphil that is for normal to oily skin. Is this okay to use instead? I hate to ask my parents to go out and buy one that says for sensitive skin. Thanks to anyone who can help.

I found some apple cider vinegar in my cabinet, and it says SELL BY ?/19/02. I told my mom what it said, but she said it should still be ok to use it for this. What do you all think?

Ok, so today would be the third day that I'm using it, and I'm definitly seeing results. Red marks seem to be fading, but I'm a bit concerned that I keep waking up with a small whitehead or two. Very minor things though, and I can pop them with ease, and they don't really leave marks, but still...

Also, I don't really understand why you would need apple cider vinegar to neutralize your pH. Can't you just use a bucket-full of water? I'm serious here.

Water neutralizes pH aswell, as long as you have enough of it, and the concentration of NaCHO3 lowers far enough. Plus the Cider really leaves my face pretty red right after I wash it off...

I've done this thing for 4 days, and my face is a definite improvement! At this rate, my red marks should be invisible in a week! (Ok, so maybe that's a bit optimistic, but it really feels like that!)

I love you Delna! smile.gif

Illegal Life -> You don't need a large amount of apple cider, because there's no way you can get it all on your face. You don't have to be exact either. Just mix a small amount in a cup, and use a cotton ball to apply to your face. Leave it on for 10 minutes and wash it off.

BFGUITAR -> Like the first post says: Every single evening. Just buy a twelvepack of eggs, put it in the fridge, and you should be covered for almost two weeks. Don't forget the lemon too though.

Do you *have* to use a cotton ball to apply the ACV it to your face? I just wash my hands, and then use my hands to apply them to my face.

hey i just wanted to say that ive been using baking soda for around 6 weeks or so, and its helping with red marks alot. i tried herbal logix but it didnt do anything. the baking soda works good for me because my skin is so oily, and it wipes away all the oil. as for the other things in this regimen, the egg mask and vinegar, ive tried the vingar but it made me all red and im too lazy to do the egg mask. thanks so much for the idea of the baking soda, allthough im prety sure its been suggested before. i recomend baking soda asit seems to do an excellent job of exfoliating for me.

I think i'm going to give this method a try next week. I have a few questions about it:

1. if im trying to get rid of red marks on my shoulders, how should i apply everything to that area (i.e the vinegar). Using a cotton ball would take forever.

2. What are some of the success stories? Anyone care to share?

3. Has this helped anyone with their regular tissue scars?

Thanks a lot.

hi all,

Just to let you guys on my adjusted regimen that better suits my skin.

Morning:

Wash face with dove soap bar for sensitive skin

Apply moisturisor WITH SPF 15+ (sunscreen is a must if u plan on having great/quick results)

Night:

Wash face with dove soap bar for sensitive skin

Delna's BS & ACV method

Apply aloe vera gel

The aloe vera is a great ingredient to add to the regimen. So far i've had great results with this adjusted regimen not only my marks are fading but my skin is looking much healthier and really improved my skin tone and texture.

Good luck

wow, if this is as good as everyone says it is, i have to try it before summer starts. Im almost 20 and have had acne since i was 10. After taking accutane 2 years ago it is not nearly as bad anymore, and my face is normally pretty clear. My chest and back are completely different stories though. I want to try this so hopefully the red marks will go away and i may actually be able to go to the beach this summer.

I'm definitely stopping the egg mask thing. Breaking me out terribly. Going to continue with the BS and ACV though as it is really helping with the red marks. Just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for you either. Good Luck.
