I looked at your posts and pictures and I have to say, from the pictures your scars don't look bad at all. If i was a man and had your scars, I wouldn't care because most of it is kind of hidden with facial hair (your scars are very close to them). Also, MANY people have scars on the temple, even my model/make up artist friend has them and they look as shallow as yours too. So yeah, don't stress about it too much! I think enerjet would do great for you.
Dermastamp is quite painful after a while, and very annoying. It took me a couple hours to do my whole face. It is very easy to do actually. Also, I've done a lot of research on dermstamp/dermarolling and I believe dermastamp is better because it is more controlled and therefore less riskier. Iv'e read countless of times that anything under 1.5 mm won't do anything for scars. I used 2mm and the result is the same as lasers (maybe? not totally confident in saying that). But believe me, you do not need to go to a professional if you're dermastamping, even dr.matta said it was an extremely safe procedure. He was just shocked at how well I withstood the pain I caused to myself even though I thought it wasn't that bad. He even told me to keep needling the areas he didn't treat with enerjet.
Yes, lasers usually do have some improvement if you do a bit of them, but I've learned that it should be part of the overall course of treatments, not the only method.
I am going to get 6 1.5mm dermarolling sessions done with numbing cream by an aesthetician at a cosmetic dermatology clinic next year, 2 months apart. If they are good, I will probably buy myself a dermaroller in 2015 to do my own sessions, perhaps with a smaller needle, if I feel I can get further long term improvement and it is comfortable.
Did you have any trouble using the dermastamp?
I had severe acne on the cheeks and temples from 15-17, and wasnt really aware of scars until after Accutane when I turned 18 and finished Accutane. I am turning 23 this year and have been trying to treat scars since I turned 21 (started with Fraxel restore, then manual juvederm injections). Looking back, I should have been much more aware of this stuff from 13+, but I didnt even bother to improve basic aspects of my appearance till I turned 19. I first denied that scars are a problem (I was also obese), 2 years later I went ahead with laser and saw some improvement. Now I want any further improvement I can get, but I am not willing to waste time on a the large variety of procedures that are out there. I am aiming at the heavy hitting methods and several iterations of each. You should try everything you can. Right now I think my scars are still passable if I keep them non-red (shave at night so they arent blood red during the day), I am just doing further treatments for closure I guess, I am well aware that a moderate improvement from any method is a very good result when treating acne scars.
Luckily I have no scars on the nose, forehead, or near the eyes, just cheeks and temples. I heard they are trying enerjet with sugar water or some non-filler substance to see if the pressure effect itself produces good results. I still want juvederm for the main areas at least for now.
I forgot to qoute you in my last response, I'm stll a noobie

Okay guys so its my third week since my second enerjet. things are looking alright. my right cheek which is the worst looks better then before. it seems like enerjet is reversing the damage done to my skin which i really like. my boxcars are still there but look more shallower. i constantly examine my skin from different angles of light and i can definitley notice a difference. i want to remind everyone that my boxcars are really deep. im estimating they are between 2-3 mm deep. i forgot to mention this before but enerjet seems to really even out the tone of my skin. my cheeks look more uniform with the surrounding skin making my scars less visible. also the top part of one linear scar is gone. i figure if i keep at it the rest of the scars can fill up just like the top part of that linear scar did. it seems like my scars are shrinking little by little. so far so good , redness gone, skin looks even, scars less noticable.
@sighhh - im must remind you again. you do indeed receive permanent improvement in the long rung. its the filler that gos away and isnt permanent . dont confuse the long term improvement with the life of the filler.
after my third enerjet i might pssibly venture into intracel. im going for a consult this comming wendsday .

Sounds good, do you think you will ever consider a 4th or 5th enerjet? Also, how long post-enerjet(last one) can we start other treatments, like intracel/needling?
yes i am gonna consider a 4th and 5th if i need too. since it stacks improvement i think i will eventually be satisifed in the end weather it be i have to do 5 - 10 sessions. i dont have the answer to that question i forgot to ask dr.matta that
For those who have had enerjet:
how long did the fillers last?
did you feel it was over/under applied, or it could have been more effectively applied (more/less in certain areas)?
I'm on day four and the injection sites look a bit raised, like I had a breakout, but I'm pretty sure itll go away, The icepick scars the doc missed a lot of them (he injected the side instead of the center because I'm guessing aiming was hard) I'm not sure if this is the right tecnique or not, but the places he injected in the centre looks a LOT more filled. I think this might be swelling, but my boxcar scars have almost completely dissapeared, except my deepest ones, they have some depth to it still. I feel like he could've done better with the icepicks, since the icepicks are still pretty noticble and went back to it's regular state, however the boxcars are almost gone. So all in all I'm not complaining, I like his work but I'm crossing my fingers this immediate improvement doesn't go away D:

depending on the product fillers get used up by the body so eventually they will return
@jackthelad - i dont remember whether it was diamond tip or not. i just remember it being a horrible experience. micro derm also appeared to remove melanin from my pigment which gave me a pale complexion which i didn't like at all since im already light as it is.
Day 4 - swelling has gone down all the way by now exept for a little on my right side where more shots where done since my worst scars are on that side. the wounds are healing nicely on my left and right side. the redness is mostly cleared up on my left side. i styll have some redness on my right side where hewent aggressive on. i currently have polysporin on it and i have been applieng it ever since i was treated last thrursday. im currently taking 100mg zinc supplements for healing, multi vitimians, whey protein shakes, drinking alot of water, eating healthy and getting alot of rest. im glad i dont have to expreince what i experenced the first time because it was realling nerve racking in the begging as it was my first time going through the ''down time'' phase. i know whats expected and its all a cake walk from here. my third treatment will be three months from now.
I also wanted to bring to everyones attention about my doctor wanting me to volunteer for a clinical trial on enerjet and sugar water instead of hylouronic acid. i wonder what relation sugar water has with collage reporduction? if anyone knows please elaborote thanx
was it crytals being blasted at the skin and sucked back up? or was it simply suction and a sort of round tip (gritty). would help me a lot because i am about to embark on diamond micro.
hows the treatments coming along? where is your latest photo?
thanks man
good to know you are still having improvements.
by the way, maybe I missed it -- did you go to the downtown Dr? if not, how was the discussion you said you would have?

i called the down town location and asked for a quote, they quoted a series for 1999 which is way more expensive then dr matta and they just got this machine so i know matta has more expereience with enerjet.
Can we see a picture?
im not posting pics any time soon. i plan on posting before and afters after my third session. that way the world can see what a series of 3 sessions can do to acne scarring.

what would you say results are like so far ?
***week 5 ** ok guys time for a update! im 5 weeks post my second enerjet. there is definitely more improvement. my scars seem to have raised more and dont seem as deep. my tone is almost perfect with surrounding skin help the appearence alot. im so far happy with these results. this makes me look forward to my third treatment and makes me happy that i decided to persue enerjet. i would say i am around 40-50 IMPROVEMENT !. yes you guys read right improvement! enerjet does indeed improve your skin and i am proof of that. it is such a relief that i am actually fighting back against these scars that have been ruinging my life and self esteeem.
yesterday i had a consultation with DR.poon in richmond hill for INTRACEL. i must say it didnt go as i expected. he recommended a series of three treatments. everything about intracel is really intriguing and interesting. he said it would help my boxcars and tighten my pores which i reallly want. this is where things went weird. i asked him how much for each treatment and he quoted 1k cad for each treatment. that is really expensive for me!! i explained i only want spot treatment and not the whole face but he said its still gonna cost me the 1k without reductions .then he fed me some BS on why the price is what it is. this turned me offf. lukily things are going good at work for me so i am producing alot and i am able to afford intracel treatments. he said the downtime is 3 days max which is wonderful because i dont wanna take 1 week off like i do with enerjet.
he also said since i have done enerjet i have to wait 3-6 months for the filler to leave which i dont like. something i found interesting was when i told him i had done enerjet it caught his attention. he asked where i got it done and so on. he then talked down upon it and said he can do the same thing by hand. it was obvious he just wants to get the most money out of me as possible. i want everyone to realize something important. when a doc doesnt have a certain machine they will talk down upon it and try to convince patients not to do it and go with what they want you to do so u can fill there pockets up. i am really good at reading people so this dr. cant fool me! after my third enerjet is done i plan to embark on intracel if i am still not satisfied.
To all who members who are doing enerjet good luck! and remember it takes more then one treatment to get satisfaction!

I already asked what the difference was between Enerjet, and doing a subcision by hand with a temporary filler to prevent reattachment (nobody answered the question). While I agree with you about doctors wanting to push the treatments they do (and talk down about the treatments they don't) in this case, the doctor might have a point. Why does it matter? Because Enerjet is only available a few places right now, and there are people who are currently not getting subcision with temp fillers because they're 'waiting for Enerjet' when they might very well be getting similar results right now with a local/regional doctor (and maybe for cheaper than Enerjet).
Isn't it possible that the Enerjet doctors do what pretty much every other doctor does? (convince you that their procedures are best, even though you might have other, less expensive options)?
So, what is the difference between Enerjet and doing subcision/fillers the way it's already being done is it just the automation aspect of having an Enerjet machine do it? Because a person can already get subcision with temp filler in the same session already. And you already said Enerjet requires multiple passes (which is probably true for regular subcision too, I imagine). I'm not trying to give you a hard time, just trying to figure out why somebody might need to fly to Canada if they can get similar results at home.
Hopefully somebody answers KB2000'S question cos I'm really curious about that now too after it was brought up.
I just wanted to come back and update, 16 days after the enerjet treatment, my boxcar scars on the side of my face have improved SOO much and sometimes its almost invisible and these were bigbig boxcars that bothered me the most. Another thing is that I've been using the age and blemish serum by Skinceuticals and after using that serum I saw my scars REALLLLY flatten out. I mean before, there was very good improvement but that serum took it way beyond. I'm going to sttop using the serum and see if it goes back to normal, but maybe that improvement may also be from healing time after enerjet instead.

to answer your question enerjet is better then a doc using his hand for many reasons. it is a controlled mechanical way of doing this method. for a doc to do it by hand he would have to be top notch in skills and also you would have to trust him. enerjet is innovation. innovative procedures like enerjet is what us scar sufferers really need.

the filler is temp but the results from the subcision aspect are permanent. im surprised people are still asking this question when it has been answered over and over again...............
I think people are asking the same question because we don't know for sure if the results are from filler or the subcision part. Some people have subcision and it makes no difference so it's hard to know whether the results are from subcision or from the filler, i guess only time will tell. In theory the subcision aspect could make no difference and the filler could wear off after six months, although i really hope this isn't the case.

Exactly what you said.
Nohope,
How are you so sure that all the results you have is because of the subcision effect? They used fillers, and fillers lifts the skin up fast.
The only way you'll really know is by waiting for a year or two.
**update** so its been a interesting 3 months since my second airgent session. the results are great i definitley got more improvement then the first time its really obvious. im pretty happy with the results so far, ive decided to do one round of fractore 3000 and im having treatment tommorow. its another sublative rejuvenation procedure that combines needling with RF technology.
my journey went from enerjet alone to now fractora and enerjet. this seems like a very good combo in fighting these god dam scars.
as for my third enerjet treatment im gonna post pone until i see what the fractora results turn out to be like. wish me luck!

so i just came back from my fractora 3000 treatment. things went well. they put numbing cream on first before procedure. she did two passes on my cheeeks and one pass on my forhead. the cheeks hurt alittle bit especially when she passed by the jaw the rest was alright. theres redness and swelling at the momment. the down time is very short supposedly so thats great for me because 1 week off work is alot of money i miss out on. the improvement is suppose to stack on top of the enerjet improvement so im looking forward to that.
fractora 3000 is new here in canada. it is in line with intracel using needling and RF together. im happy i finally did RF microneedling as i have been wanting too for a very long time. i will post pics soon.

I did my second treatment of Airgent with Dr Matta a few weeks ago, and I am really liking the results so far.
The first treatment didn't give much result, so I didn't post anything except how my skin reacted. After the second treatment, I definitely noticed improvement- still hard to put a number on it, but apparently when I look at my face in the elevator mirror (which usually makes my skin looks horrible), it doesn't look as bad any more! Particularly on the temple area, where scarring is the severest. I know it is not swelling because it has been more than a month.
It is not dramatic - I still have tons of scarring, but I am very excited about this treatment so far. The down time is minimal. Actually the second time it was even shorter, like two days before I can go out shopping and meet people (I did it Friday morning and it was harldy noticeable Monday). Hardly any pain, and results seem to be decent. And the cost ($670) is reasonable.
I scheduled my third session for mid April. I hope the result I see is real and somewhat permenant. If I see more results after this, I will pursue more (the doctor recommended three sessions to see how it goes).
Hey Allex,
As one of the old-timers on this forum, I'm so happy to hear that you are finally getting some good results. Man, I really wish someone would bring this technology to the US. I would be the first to sign up that's for sure.

I should feel lucky that I actually live 5 mins away from Dr. Matta's office lol.
Anyways, I saw Dr. Matta last year in September, but I didn't opt for any procedures because I really didn't want to invest money into any new procedures that would take time to see results. I was sick of wasting money on all the disappointing treatments I have undergone over the years. I ended up getting a Perlane filler injection from my old Derm with so-so results.
Now, I am back and planning on seeing Dr. Matta again to try Enerjet. After reading the good reviews from No Hope, and Allex, and Sighhh. Or maybe it's just that time of my life again where I am feeling like shit and need to improve my skin. I don't know. Nevertheless, I am looking to schedule an appointment in a month or so after my exams.
I wish I had opted to get the Enerjet 6 months ago, but I was very adamant about getting a temporary filler. Oh well.
Any updates hope/sighhh?

That just sounded so damn familiair...
The treatment sounds really promising though! For the Dutchies among us, there seems to be a practioner in 'Nieuwegein' called Biutifill who claims to be the only one using the machine. I'm gonna check him out very soon...
