Yes I drove back. There is no anesthesia involved, not even tropic one.
Where do you live? why not just drive?
yes, I will just stay with the same dr. To drive to Brampton every 3 months is not a big deal. I do it midday Friday so traffic is normally not bad.
If I decide to pursue more sessions after the third, I will consider the downtown clinic.
Allex, were you able to drive home yourself after the treatment? I plan on a taxi to a train station and then 2 hours of busses home, is that feasible?
I doubt the yorkville one could be that expensive, but it is probably a better idea to stay with the same doctor for the entire course. The methods and overall care should be consistent.
Holy crap they just got it in downtown Toronto!!! thats amazing! thank god i dont have to travel so god dam far! it seems that doc's are catching wind of enejet and are in the process of buying the machines. i actually look forward to get my third treatmetn at this down town location,
**Update** day 9 since my second treatment. my cheeks look like there healed pretty well just a little bruising on my right cheek but u can barley tell. i think its official that you certainly start seeing the result after 1-2 weeks. my right cheek which is the worst cheek looks way better now. it seems the improvement stacked on to the previous improvement from my first session which is excellent because it confirms that the more you do the more improvement u gain. im only on my 9 th day post and things are already looking good. i cant imagine how much more it will improve down the line.
im about to sign up to a gym to start working out again. im gonna see if cardio and loosing weight has any effect on the results of enerjet. cant wait!
That sounds good, I will also consult with this new place. The doctor there seems pretty good: http://tinyurl.com/qaf7jh6
Do you think the doctor's skill at operating the machine has any difference, or is the treatment fundamentally the same? In many scar revisions the skill of the administrator matters a great deal. It is worth consulting with as many doctors as you can though, that's what I will do.
i completley agree with you. i do the think the skill matters in this matter. im gonna call tomorow to find out more from the downtown location

Sounds good. I don't drive, and I live in the northern part of york region, a few hours on multiple bus rides is what is involved.
to be honest even if it does look bad right after its just buss rides home. i doubt you care what other people think and you shouldnt in the first place. you are doing this for yourself not for what others think. i think you will have no problem with the busses.
Thanks Allex, it's awesome to see the true aftermath. It does look like a bad acne breakout. Keep us posted on how much the swelling goes down in the coming days. I'm seriously considering this though I live in California, so I prefer not to go through the airport looking horrendous. Are you a local Allex?
You are welcome.
I used to live in California and now in Toronto.
It seems I am healing fast. Today (day 2) most of the bruising is gone. Now I just look like I have a *moderate* acne situation. The doctor said I will look "horrible" for 5-7 days, but it is only day 2, it is nowhere near "horrible" and I think I am comfortable walking outside already. Not sure if it is a good or bad thing (whether I am a quick healer, or my skin is not responding?)

Do you plan to change doctor?
I live downtown as well, and both Yorkville and King W are within walking distance for me. Brampton is a 45 minutes drive and I had to rent a car, but I feel comfortable with Dr Matta, and I am not sure it is worth the switch as there are only 2 treatments left (only one for you).
Also, don't know if price would be the same. Dr Matta said he will raise the price significantly next year since the supplier has done so, but he will grandfather those who started the treatment with him this year (the price would remain $600). My guess is that a Yorkville location could be significant more expensive.
Good to see you are seeing more results, I am encouraged!
im gonna give the downtown office a call and see what they have to offer. i also feel comfortable with dr. matta since he is a kind funny guy. the fact that matta wants to put me in a clinical study for the enerjet and sugar water method makes me wanna stay with him. im gonna compare the prices and see what happens. im also curious to what methods the doc has and his opinion on things. i honestly dont think i will need more then 4. i predict major improvement with my third session and if i feel like getting a fourth one 3 months after my third i will do so. so far enerjet takes the cake in my books by a long shot. for once i feel like im having the upper hand in this battle against acne scars. feels so good!

Congratulations.
Just keep hydrated on gym(water/fruit juices).
I've posted my experience about Airgent (enerjet) in the old thread. I had 4 treatments done like a year ago at maximum settings.
Personally, I don't think it's worth it unless you have mild scarring or want something low(er) risk. I got ~20% improvement and I've had much more success with other treatments. Glad people are getting results though.
Thanks for providing gallery pics Allex on what to expect right after the treatment, But do you have any before pics (just before getting EnerJet)? So we can get a better picture of The Just Before & later future After results of EnerJet? Thanks.
No_Hope, I would stay with your current Doctor if you are getting such great results. Why risks it at a new place with a new Doctor that might not be that experience enough to know what the hell he's doing and could messed things up on your skin. I know its a closer drive for you, but why risks it with an inexperience Doctor when it comes to EnerJet?

long time no see acnescar. how did your laser resurfacing go? i noticed you havent posted anything in a while and your topic wasnt being updated. did you get good results?
I look at enerjet as that treatment that has an x amount of treatments for you until your satisfied. some people maybe be alot more then others due to the severity of there scarring. who knows maybe like u said u might need 5-10 to be satisfied. the key factor here is that enerjet improves instead of degrading the skin like plenty of other treatments out there. enerjet just made my journey way more exiting beyond belief.

Its a tuff call. im gonna go to a consult at the most for now with the downtown location to see whats really going on down there. its gonna be kinda like downtown location vs Dr.matta because now that there is a downtown location dr.matta can loose out on a serious amount of patients since there is no more need to travel to Brampton if you are living in toronto like i am. who knows only time will tell.

Yes, I am sure the treatment protocols will vary and it isn't worth using another doctor for the entire course.
No hope: I don't mind the bus rides at all, but I will see if the downtown location is good, although I am already 99% sold on getting all 3 done in brampton.
thats good mate. i would deffinitley reccomend matta to you because besides him doing the procedure he is a really cool, chilled, laid back guy that makes you feel comfortable. his wife is his assistant and she is kind and sweet. lol @ 99% on getting all 3 done in b town. its a good move if you ask me. how much did this thread influence your decision on that ?
Is there a big difference between Airgent and Enerjet?
No. they are the exact same machine just changed the name . it was originally called airgent but now they changed it to enerjet
The Doctor took some photos, I didn't, largely because i don't find the photos able to show the severity of my scarring - for example, when I look at the photos I just took, my right side face looks pretty good with little scarring (which is more like my goal, not the status quo) , but that's definitely not how things are in real life. Maybe because of the lighting? I took them in the bathroom facing the bathroom sink/lights.
I just uploaded more two photos to my gallery (day 3). My healing has been much faster than expected, and I am ready to go to work tomorrow already only with a few zits I am pleasantly surprised because this means I don't have to take time off work because of it at all!

good to hear your healing well. just know from here on it gets better and better and better until you finally realize the potential of enerjet
Thanks for you answer no_hope, for me it seems like I have to fly to the UK/Germany.. Why am I a student and not very rich

Wow, amazing progress already, I don't know if it is the photo but it looks like your scars are already better, fantastic.
I also wonder if the process can be done while you still have some acne?
Cheers
Julian, don't be misled my the photos. As I have emphasized, the photos do not really show the severity of my scarring for some reason, (might be due to the lighting, my right side face almost looks smooth, but trust me it is not), it is only day 3, and I have yet to see any result. no treatment will be this dramatic. If my skin looked as good as in the photos, I probably wouldn't be on this forum. As you can see I don't have many icepicks, but under unfavourable lighting it is very wavy looking. I will try to take some photos in harsher lighting once the redness is all gone.
As to treatment with existing acnes, you probably should have it under control before spending thousands of $$. Battling acnes is so much easier and cheaper than scars.
I don't want to hijack this thread with too many minor details as I doubt anything major will happen in the following days, but will report back in a 4-6 weeks (around New Year). If you have any specific questions, welcome to PM me.

I don't find acne easy to beat... I still have some and it is so annoying, when I think I have it under control BEM there comes one.. I don't get many but the ones I get stay for so long time... Any tips?
I'm looking forward to follow your progress!

I fought it for 15 years! But with modern techniques, it is getting much easier.
One tip I could give, which was very important for me personally but not sure whether will apply to you is, try to sleep on your back and avoid any contact between your face and the pillow/linens. The acnes kept popping up on my lower jaws which troubled me for a long time until I figured this out. Ever since I started doing this, they rarely returned.
I wish I had this knowledge when I was younger. I had the habit of putting my face against something soft (pillow/comforter), which probably half ruined my face.
You need to see a dermatologist and get on increasingly stronger treatments until it is gone. That is what I did (a bit too slow unfortunately) from 15-17, eventually ending with accutane which ended them for good (no pimples in 5-6 years after 2 years of having a bleeding red face). Creams and bullshit at the drug store won't do anything, you need to see a dermatologist and start documenting progress. I wouldn't try to treat the scars until the pimples are gone.
Totally agree.
For more than a decade, I tried at least 100 kinds of OTC cream/gel/ointment, and nothing worked, including Proactiv etc. Until I went to see a real doctor in my 20s (too late) who prescribed me with Doxycycline and Tazrac, which improved things significantly.
Stop wasting money at the drugstore. They don't work.
It is a pity that when my entire face was swollen with giant pimples full of pus, my parents thought it was a normal process for a teenager boy and did absolutely nothing.

So no_hope and Allex, how do you feel now? Got any pictures of the process?
Doctors already combine fillers with subcision in the same session. The fillers are temporary, but they act in a similar way as vacuuming I believe (prevent the released tissue from tacking back down). So how is Airgent any different? Is it just a faster process because it's mechanized? I live in the US where nobody does Airgent yet, so why not just get subcision with filler?
Same here, gotta fly to the UK for this treatment, which doctor are you going to see in the UK? Tapan Patel?
Thanks for you answer no_hope, for me it seems like I have to fly to the UK/Germany.. Why am I a student and not very rich
yes doctor patel offers the treatment let us know your progress if u get the treatment
Hello, I barely ever post, but I just thought that I should add my two cents into this thread because tmrw, I am also seeing Dr. Matta in the same brampton clinic as no_hope and alexx. Hopefully I get treated with enerjet the same day tmrw, and I'll be sure to pose my results on this thread too (:
Also, for those who have done the treatment, I was just wondering if enerjet is effective for icepick scars, because I have quite a few of those on my right cheek as well as boxcar scars. However, the icepick scars frustrate me the most.

It should probably be fine for ice picks too, if the pressure is attempting to disrupt the scar tissue, it should have a positive impact on all of the indentations that we have. I will be getting it in the next two weeks most likely.
Goodluck! the swelling I have right now really makes my skin look so plump, I can't see my scars. Where are you having the treatment?
So I had my treatment yesterday and the day after, it looks like I just had a bad break out.. not bad at all. For those who are wondering if enerjet is pernament, I emailed dr.matta, and this was the response I got:
Dr. Matta used Juvederm in the EnerJet. No one knows exactly how long the filler will last because it depends on many factors like lifestyle, smoking, etc. Dr. Matta recommends coming in every 6-12 months and this is only a guideline
So I believe any improvement from this treatment is only temperary ): !! It really is heartbreaking news for me, because I rather treat my scars and be done with it for good.
Thank you so much for your well detailed response, I really appreciate it. I too have done, profractional laser, once on the forhead and left cheek, twice on the right cheek. This was a few months after my TCA cross treatments (I had 6-8 ish?). I believe TCA cross gave me a 30-50 % improvement, HOWEVER, stupid dr.bargman from toronto created LARGEEE and noticable boxcar scars right in the middle of my forhead and right cheek. I only had two sessions with him, and both times he gave me new scars but the other ones are from the jewish general hospital in montreal gave me amazing improvement.
back to profractional laser, this treatment really made a difference in my left cheek where I had it done once, but my forhead and right cheek (right cheek treated twice) showed minimal improvement.
The one dermastamp treatment gave me the same minimal improvement as the lasers. But the single needling session I gave to myself kind of took away some improvements, because I think I went too harsh.
I am really hoping this enerjet treatment will finally make me feel comfortable in my skin, as I am only 19 and had terrible scars since I was 14. (yeah my teenage years SUCKED)
OH AND ANOTHER IMPORTANT THING
I forgot to mention, the doctor will treat the t zone area with a different solution instead of juvederm due to a risk of blindness from that filler. I couldnt get this area done because the ran out of that solution. So yeah, the t-zone area is treated slightly different from the temples and cheek area. They're using a different base.
