Icepicks Or Boxcar Scars? And What Solution?

I'm a 26 year old male. Since I was a teenager I suffer from acne. It keeps me in some kind of control, because I find my own skin disgusting. It has active acne, scars and looks... Uhrm, ugly? I check the mirrors several times a day to check my skin. I use(d) a lot of different soaps, cremes etc. to heal my skin. I've been several times to the doctor to get medicines, but he says my acne is not that bad so I won't get the medicines I want or need. The problem is that I've got a skin that scars very easily. Even when I don't pop the acne, I will get a small scar. My doctor won't listen to that argument, although most people get acne-medicines nowadays just to prevent their skin from scarring.

Others say that my scars aren't that bad as I think they are. Although this 'compliment' (or they just say to give me more confidence) I'm looking for a treatment to get rid of 1) my acne and 2) my scars. Just because I want to look healthy again.

At this moment my most important question is: what kind of scars do I have? I thought they were small icepicks, but they can also be boxcar scars. And what is the best treatment to get them reduced the best possible?

I've added some photos. I've modified them a bit (changed some light settings with Photoshop) so you can notice the scars better. In real it looks a bit less freaky :P

Thanks in advance!

How long have you had those scars for? Were they originally very red after the acne went away? If so, how long did it take for the redness to go away and reach the point where it is now? (It now looks more or less the same color as the skin around it)

My scars all have a different 'age'. I can't tell you how long I have them since I've had acne since I was around 12. I still get scars from acne, so they are aged from 0 to 14 years old.

After the acne went away my skin is allways red. Also the spots that have become scars in a later stage. And it can take two to three weeks to get the redness away. Sometimes it takes even longer, like months. The skin around isn't as red as it looks at the photo. Like I said, the photo is a bit shopped.

But still the question: what type of scars do I have? Is there a treatment? And how effective will the treatment be?
