Hello everyone,

I will be finishing my Accutane treatment in about 2 weeks now and would really like to get a head start on removing these scars from my chest and back. They are mostly indented (rolling) acne scars and summer is coming and I am WAY too embarassed to take my shirt off to swim, go to the beach, etc. Please help! I have recently started putting Aloe Vera Gel on it to see if it helps at all. Not sure if there are any improvements yet. Thanks for your time and hopefully you have some good advice !

i dont think aloe would help much with ur scars.the front doesnt look bad at all.

just work on ur back a bit.

scars can be taken care of by a derma.

i think u should visit her.

how's ur face?

My face is completely clear, I have an appointment on may 17th but I'm scared he will say I have to wait a year to treat them since I will be just off accutane

u're very lucky that u have a clear face.congrats for that!=)

as for u body,the doc's right in saying so.

i think u should give it some time and later get a laser or peeling or all other kind of medical processes they do to undo the scars.

Don't be embarrassed! I know it's easier said than done but don't let something like this ruin chances to have fun and enjoy life! I dated a guy who had scarring like you on his back and chest (even worse actually, especially on his chest/pecs) and he used to be embarrassed. Now at 27 he always says how he regretted the times he declined to go to the beach or take his shirt off because of it. If people care, then screw them! Most won't, honestly. And there will always be fellow acne sufferers of both genders who will understand where you're coming from and see completely past it. Good luck and I do hope you find something that can help you regain your confidence :)

That was very very sweet of you! Especially since I like a girl and I think our relationship will be moving further soon. Hoping she understands that bodies naturally do things like this and eventually it should be close to gone. Thank you :)

Officially done with accutane. No one has any advice?? A topical cream or something to help fill them in?
