I hope you are doing well, Jace Cali. This Cora Therapy is a fascinating treatment for sure....I just had my first subcision treatment yesterday afternoon but I can't help myself from wishing that I had access to the treatments you had :)

There you go... That's the treatment that I'm undergoing. The needles they use are not acupuncture needles. I took a look at the needle and it was a syringe 26 g. He told me it's how they pick at the scar or what not. I'll ask them more when I go for my next treatment.

I found this today, but the Dr is using acupuncture needles. It was difficult for me to watch him manipulate the patient's skin so be warned:

Any updates Jace Cali? Please inform your Doctor that he should seriously consider coming stateside to either L.A. or NYC and set up a satellite office.

Hey jace and everyone. I went to south korea for 2 months from feb-march. Went to the dermatologist like 10 times. And they know there shit there!!! compared to australia anyway. When i came back to australia everyone was saying what treatment did you get in korea, or what did u get done to ur skin. I was happy and cant wait to get back at the end of the year. The clinics there are like 10 x the size of the ones in australia. the one i went to was great....

I found this video link on the South Korean Rodam Clinic's website. I hope it opens:

[Edited link out]

This is a client giving a review of the clinic and Cora Therapy. She references a website that allowed her to research the procedure and read blogs. Is anyone familiar with such site?

Here is another review by an English speaking client:

She referenced naver, a search engine in korea. The page is all in korean though, and i think if you want to search up cora therapy you have to type it in korean. I typed it in english and I got results that didn't really have anything to do with the therapy. Also THANK YOU for finding that website!

I hired a tutor that speaks Korean help me find out more about Cora Therapy. This is what he translated for me:

01 What is Cora Therapy?
Cora therapy promote the regrow of skin on its own. After a treatment, the redness of a scar goes away within a week if it is on face and more treatments are needed to accelerate the healing process. This therapy is effective treating acne scars, chicken pox scars, and any other kinds of scars.

02 Cora Therapy of collagen regeneration capacity will rise rapidly.
Treatment of chicken pox scars and acne scars caused by the collapse of the dermis through the promotion of blood flow accelerates the nutrition of the skin tissue, skin problems, depressions or indentations to solve.
Cora Therapy procedure scars, indentations or depressions on top of each other and filled up to a height equal to the surrounding normal skin.
You can get almost no side effects so it a safe and effective treatment.

I also had him translate a letter to the clinic explaining how I live in the States and wondering if they offer their services outside of South Korea and this is their response:

Thank you and we appreciate your interest all the way from the United States.

Cora Therapy treatment can only be done through Rodham clinic. In other words, you can only get the treatment in South Korea.

The treatment consists of a procedure using a single needle. This is how the procedure was able to be published in paper. The treatment interval is twice a week and usually for 5 to 6 sessions. It requires a period of at least three months. A deep scar may require additional treatments and time to fully heal.

If you have been taking care of your skin and it is relatively in a good shape, you may be able to reduce a number of treatments.

The therapy uses one needle to treat a scar and builds up new skin step by step. This will allow the treated scar to reach to the height of the surrounding skin. We do not inject any chemicals but provide an environment that can help skin to regrow. Therefore, there is almost no side effects and makes it easy to take care of after treatment. If you were to receive a Cora Therapy treatment, you can wash your face right afterwards or the next day if you would like a synergy treatment. The synergy treatment allows for even skin color, promote skin regeneration and strengthening keratin, shrink pores, and help manage sebum.

The therapy usually costs between 350 and 700 US dollars. We would need to examine you first in person to be able to give an exact quote for the treatment price. In case if you are interested, getting a treatment for one scar is between 35 to 55 dollars and can be up to 110 dollars if it a big scar. If there are many scars, we quote the price based on the parts of the face that are going to be treated.

Once again, thank you for your interest and have a good day.

Polecat,

You are awesome! Thanks for posting this!

Are you considering going to Korea to have this done?

I so wish that North American Dermatologists would get their heads out of their butts and start recognizing and offering treatments like this.

No, unfortunately I can't travel to Korea-it is just too far for me. If I were single I would absolutely consider it!! I'm just hoping the Western world gets wind of this and realizes what a money maker this would be, for it seems like that is the main motivator in the Western world, right?

JaceCali wrote that his Dr was considering coming overseas so perhaps the person that answered my email is unaware of this venture.

Many blessings to those of you that CAN go to South Korea....this therapy seems phenomenal.

Its amazing how such a simple technique can replace the agony and the expense of lasers that doesn't even produce desired results. Lot of people spend thousands of dollars on scar treatment. This seems to be way better option.

I found this link today talking of acne scars and acupuncture:

[Edited link out]

I looked online and found a few acupuncturists in my area that offer something called "facial rejuvenation". Perhaps this is an area to explore with them. I realize the Cora Therapy is apparently not with acupuncture needles but this may be an area to discover.......

Any updates here? Are you still red?

I think the redness produced by 6 cora theray sessions will be long lasting(and thas not necessarily bad).

Looks like these guys here in the states also use acupuncture needles to treat scars. Not sure how effective though.

unbelivable! cora therapy seems alot like individual needling( indivudially breaking up the scar tissue in each scar with a specific type of needle). o honestly wanna take a trip to korea if this is the case becuase from there website it looks like all my prayers have been answered.

jace cali if i where to travel to korea to get this done how long do you think i should go for ? and how much does the procedure cost?

Well, i wonder why we haven't heard from Jace Cali in the last two months.

He was always so quick to reply and very informative/helpful and now we hear nothing from him anymore.

Am i the only one who is confused by that?

I thought Cora Therapy sounds promising, but now i am somewhat sceptical.

Any thoughts?
