EMU OIL (READ THIS!)

Hello,

I Have just completed my 6month course on roaccutane.

Just a tip for everyone who reads this. Roaccutane will take of your acne by month 2-3 but won't cure the red marks left from previously pimples. Even if you complete the whole course, you will still have TONS of red marks that still looks like acne, and the dermatologist will just tell you to wait it out, which sucks.

The reason why the red marks don't heal is because your skin is damaged and roaccutane will slow the process of healing. You will need to buy something with vitamin "e", jojoba oil or emu oil, it moisturizes your skin and best of all repairs your skin from red marks and uneven skin tone/ scars. So my tip to get through roaccutane without having a whole heap of scars/red marks and uneven skin tone is to use products with vitamin-e, jojoba oil or emu oil.

I have been using a product which has all these ingredients as well as squarlene, which is an ingredient to repair skin for 3 days and I have seen significant reduction in scars/uneven skin tone and the red marks have faded at least 60%!

The product I have been using is "Careline Emu oil Cream" - bought it on eBay for $16.00 (free postage and handling) and its just amazing!

Good Luck my friends

I just got some Emu oil in the mail today...doesn't smell hideous, so apparently it's not the "authentic" stuff? I got it from the states, and it says Ginny's Cajun Emu Oil Australian 100%. It smells more like glue haha...but it isn't sticky.

I'll keep you all updated on how this stuff works for OLD red marks. OLD as in years. I may post some pics if I see some really good progress.

I'll also continue using vitamin e oil, some aloe vera, vitamin b50 pills, and fish oil. I'm also using tazorac at night.

Emu oil is a godsend. I have been using it for about two weeks and it has dramatically reduced my hyperpigmentation and scarring. I only apply it if I'm not going anywhere because it is very oily. I use the 100% Pure Emu oil by Progressive Emu. It's on Amazon for a very reasonable price for the amount you get; a little goes a very long way. Emu oil also reduces the redness of any rare incoming acne as well.

Please let me know how this goes. I am in the same situation as you! These things have been on my face for too long and I'm becoming desperate to erase them.

😥

Is that the only thing you put on your face? I may try that solo once I get rid of all the pimples I got from it, but it may of been because I was using too much on my face....although aloe vera by itself seems to be working.

Omg, I think this is actually WORKING! After reading a few pages of this topic and a bunch of reviews, I decided to buy it. And now, only two days after, I see a big difference on my left cheek. The redness has reduced a lot, and the scars is disappearing! I'm so excited! ("HOW EXCITING!" anyone? :D)

Thanks! I've tried potatoes and Vitamin E before.. But Emu Oil works much faster and better :D. And it isn't nearly as oily as Vitamin E.

Not Emu. I use Jojoba oil mixed in with my shampoo for my hair, though

regarding the emu oil, where can i buy the one that is recommend to use? Can i get one at the local vitamin shoppe? Also, you guys said that using it on "Fresh" red spots is probably the best time to use emu oil. Define "fresh." Would a month old red mark considered to be fresh? Thanks

I have been using emu oil for many months... its really good.. it will flatten my active pimples. But sadly, it didn't fade my red marks....

I JUST GOT MY EMU OIL DELIVERED YESTERDAY.

STARTED USING IT SEPTEMBER 1ST.

WILL BE APPLYING IT 2 TIMES A DAY, ONCE IN THE MORNING AND ONCE AT NIGHT.

WILL BE WASHING MY FACE ONCE A DAY AT NIGHTTIME WITH CETAPHIL GENTLE CLEANSING SOAP BAR, UNTIL I HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY AN EMU OIL SOAP BAR.

WILL UPDATE IN A COUPLE WEEKS.

^ do you really have to type in all caps?

I bought Jojoba Oil last week and have been using it twice a day for 9 days now. I noticed an immediate improvement in the softness of my skin, but it didn't do anything for redness. I know it's only been just over a week, and I'll update you guys in 30 days to see if there is any change.

I'm considering getting Emu Oil and starting to try it in a week or two. I hate that there is so much mixed information on this site. Seems like most people have no idea what they're talking about. Some say its non-comedogenic some say it isn't. Searching on Google pretty much just gives you 100 pages of spam and shopping sites.

I guess I should just buy it and try it. Unfortunately, the risk is that it could potentially ruin my skin even further. :wall:

I JUST BOUGHT A THUNDER RIDGE EMU OIL SOAP BAR THAT WILL COME IN THE MAIL IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

SO FAR I'VE BEEN USING PURE 100% THUNDER RIDGE EMU OIL FOR 3 DAYS, TWICE A DAY AND I HAVEN'T REALLY SEEN ANY RESULTS AS OF YET. I STILL HAVE THE SAME RED MARKS ON MY FACE AND I DON'T THINK THEY HAVE FADED AT ALL YET.

LET'S JUST HOPE IT'S JUST TO EARLY 2 TELL!

Those of who have applied emu oil to a pimple (especially pustule) at the end of its lifecycle have you seen that it would have prevented an indented scar from forming?
