benni,
i think it will be easier if you just go to dr. khan and get ernesto's treatment, rather than go through this hassle.
if you dont live near there, just save up some cash, plan out your days off, find a hotel, get the treatment and stay there for a week or so, then go back home.
Dude, thankfully, my scars are not even near to what ernesto's scars were, so my gut feeling is that I probably don't need that sort of treatment, I mean Ernie's been through a very VERY harsh procedure. One week is def not enough for healing. He lived in UK and spent like 7k GBP? God, that's a lot of cash. And I'd have to spend for the hotel and the flight too, and that would be apprx 10 GBP k... Ok so my scars are pretty similliar to these http://www.acne.org/messageboard/Dry-Needl....html&st=20 , though my left cheek is prob alot better than her's was, but my right cheek is a little worse, since i've got a pretty deep rolling scar on there. But the good news is that I should soon recieve my LEDs, I ALREADY recieved the terproline, I've got 2 MS-4 dermarollers and I now even have a VITA-C shower kit, I mean everyday I take shower under vita-c water, I'm very hopefull that this shower will somewhat aid the healing process after the rolling sessions, thou I was pretty sceptical about it at the beg, but after showering couple of times I can really feel that my skin feels more moisture and tighter, i feel that I don't even need to apply anything on my skin after shaving, thou I always do. Well anyhoo, pretty soon, when I get my leds I'll start the whole journey thing, lol. I'll def log each and every day and have no doubts - I'll be posting pics.
His price quote was pounds not euro
I think when they do it in the US you would just have to book it as a regular Holiday And arrange ur own accommodation and all that extra stuff
They have ACELL dont know how that matches up to recell
yeah you are right about the US....nah would rather go to europe....its so beautiful over there.
i dont know if im right...i read a lot and it all becomes a blur after a while...but acell is made from pigs which are similar to humans...but recell is made from our own stem cells. you cant really get any better than that. acell is a good alternative, but i guess should be treated as that?
I know what you mean about it becoming a blur after a while lool
From your description Recell def sounds much better im received a email from recell i will post it
Dear Miss
Thank you for you email. The price for a treatment with ReCell will vary depending on the size of the area to be treated and also what the doctor uses for the dermabrasion. But it is usually around the £3,000 mark for a treatment. Please could you tell me what the indication is that you are looking to use ReCell for so that I can provide you with a suitable contact?
Kind regards
Claire
So as i suspected what they call ''cheaper'' is not really cheap after all loooool
Lol you're one rich girl ! fraxel and subcision seems far better than dermabrasion in my view. subcision destroys the bonds holding the scars down whilst the collagen from fraxel rises them up rather significantly. that a lot better than simply sanding the scars down - whilst leaving them in place.
im really not sure. i still believe a great treatment without recell is better than an average treatment with recell. given the cost of it, why not use the acell despite the fact the poor pigs have been tortured in the making of it...and ull always be wearing those pigs on your face....
if you really want the recell, why dont you take out a small loan. i hear building societies or credit unions offer low interest loans.
come to think of it, i discovered a pill a few months back which i liked the sound of, but also freaked me out. it "claims" to steal stem cells from our bones and once they flow throughout the body, they can be utilised during the healing process.
Not sure, but when I spoke with the woman she mentioned they were going to get it approved in 2 years, 2 years ago. They keep saying 2 years until if/when it gets approved. I got the impression it will be a LOOOONG time. But, there's no point in getting our hopes up until Ernestoria can corroborate his results with after photos.
given the cost of it, why not use the acelldespite the fact the poor pigs have been tortured in the making of it...and ull always be wearing those pigs on your face....
lol You won't be wearing the pigs on your face, as you've put it. The ACell material gets used by your body to heal the wound/regenerate tissue and then over time it replaces it with your own tissue. So no worries there.
As for the torture... I'm actually a vegetarian. So I'm looking into the way ACell gets its source material. There's also synthetic alternatives to ACell, though. However they might not work as well... They seem more likely to cause an inflammatory response which isn't what is ideal.
Hi guys,
So, here I go... I tried to make as much space as possible without having to remove the old pics and the after treatment pics because I think that is what most people would like to see. So, I have room for 2 final pics which I took last week.
Once again, to kill all negative comments. YES, I HAD ABOUT 75% improvement overall as a result of combining treatments: Subcision, Fraxel and ReCell and Stem Cells 3 months later.
Yes, initially I had about 90% improvement but after 8 months all micro-swelling has subsided and what you see is what I was left with. It's about 75% improvement overall.
Was it worthy? of course it was!!! I am very very pleased.. my life has changed so much!!! Note that back then before the treatment many doctors told me the max I could get was 30% improvement from Fraxel. I went ahead happy to get 30% as I thought that would be a massive improvement for me anyway.. anything would help my bad scaring, but in order to take it further and following recommendations from Dr Khan I also did Subcision, ReCell and Stem Cells in combination and I got 75% in total. I am very very pleased!
FOR THOSE NEGATIVE AND SKEPTICAL GUYS OUT THERE: I am real and not an hoax, I just happen to be a 31 years old professional guy that works as a Management Consultant and also have a busy life. So, sorry for not posting pics immediately after you demanded. If I was an hoax, how can I create so many pics in so many different scenarios, including the ones after treatment when I look like I was run over by a truck!!!??? LOL Some of you guys are hilarious, negative and just don't let yourselves believe. I doubt that without faith and believe you would ever get any results.
I think only 3 or 4 people on this forum have actually uploaded so many pics before and after, the majority of you all dont even have an avatar. I am exposing myself like this for your benefit and to help other people in the same boat as me and what I get from some is recrimination and even people doubting that I am real! ... I mean... seriously guys, get a life!
Reason why I took so much time to document my story at the beginning and not now is because as you can probably imagine, after the treatment I was at home for 3 weeks doing nothing! very different to the situation today!
Anyway, here are some new pics, but before that I wanted to point out that I will be doing another treatment in December, exactly a year after my first one. I have visited Dr Khan again to request another Fraxel so I can take the skin to perfection (or as good as it gets), he suggested also doing PRP before that and a combination with subcision again. So, that it is what I will do. I will the update with results. Cant wait!

Ohhh and by the way....
For some of you that have been reading Faizal's thread on his Stem Cells Treatment with Dr Khan, just a couple of warnings:
As you know Faizal went to Dr Khan and requested Stem Cells treatment on his nose to get rid of a scar that it is NOT the result of acne and is placed above the nose' cartilage. Faizal didnt get the 80% results he expected with just ONE (1) alone treatment and he then went on to demand money back from Dr Khan and it seems things got a bit difficult between them.
Faizal's thread is great in the sense that it documents his story, the treatment and his photos, but then it turns into the 'legal and emotional issue' of having his money back which I dont think is the objective of this forum.
What I want to say with this is that you shouldnt be discouraged by his post to see Dr Khan or any other Dr that is carrying out StemCells treatment. My improvement is the result of a combination of great treatments (Fraxel, ReCell, StemCells) in a very specific type of scars. I am not here to promote Dr Khan's business whatsoever, I could have documented my story without mentioning his name, it doesnt really make a difference to me at all, I still have my results and I could have still published my photos.. I have done this for you guys and to help those in the search of a solution, many of you insisted on me revealing the name of my Dr and that is what I did.
I want to close this by saying that I regard Dr Khan as a highly professional individual and someone who has been specially warm, genuine and honest with me all along. I have trusted and I have followed his recommendations as indicated and I have obtained fantastic results and I will continue my further treatments with him.
Bottomline here is: You must believe you can get results, you must combine treatments and be patient, this is a journey that you need to do with a professional and experienced doctor that you trust, whereever you are (the US, Asia, etc).
WOW amazing results!!!!!!
My first question is howcome you didn't suffer any hyper pigmentation? You're of olive (darker) complexion and you walked away without major or minor side effects from the looks of it.
Every doctor keeps telling me how my skin is too dark for fraxel repair and even high setting restore (althought i found one doc who did the highest setting restore). My skin isn't that much darker than yours in winter but in summer, the beach makes me unrecognisable
Anyway, well done!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Ernesto.
Just wondering if it was the Smartxide laser you had and not the Fraxel Re:Pair, because according to Dr. Khan's website, he has the Smartxide laser, not the Fraxel.
Just wondering if you mistakenly thought it was the Fraxel or maybe I went to the wrong website.
It is the Harley Street Clinic, isn't it ?

Hi,
Dr Khan has both lasers. He is very experienced in using laser technology. So, to answer your question: I had Fraxel Re:Pair. I found him by looking up doctors on the Fraxel website.

Hey Buddy
No, I didnt suffer of any hyperpigmentation or any other side effects, but I completely understand where you are coming from. In London ,I visited 5 other Doctors before visiting Dr Khan and they all refused to carry out laser treatment on me due to my skin type. It was only Dr Khan who said that he would be comfortable carrying out the treatment, but he did warned me of the risks, but at the same time he said he would ensure all measures would be taken to reduce the risk. So, I went onto a treatment to prevent hyper pigmentation for 3 weeks prior to the Fraxel (Pigmanorm). I also kept myself in complete darknes for 2 weeks after the laser and after that with very limited exposure to sunlight wearing always SPF50.
Not sure if I was lucky of Dr Khan really cracked the code with the Pigmanorm, the post treatment care and the ReCell.

It would be interesting to know why he has both of the lasers since they're both fractional CO2 devices.
Like what are advantages and disadvantages between the 2 systems and are they that significant that it would warrant the cost of buying a 2nd device.
For most Dr.'s buying just 1 machine would probably be quite a significant investment.
Looks good, thank you so much for posting your after pictures. Looks like the treatment sofetened up your scarring quite a bit. I wonder if you had a series of these if your skin would keep getting better. For some reason, this tends to plateau for most people. Would be great to actually get to 100%. Please let us know if you do and end up with your pre-acne skin again. Seems like it is too good to be true and impossible to achieve, but it is so good that mentally you feel so much better. I think that is the most important aspect to all of these treatments.
Ernesto thank you for putting up pictures and bringing us along the ride for your story.
There are haters out there but oh well that's the way life is...haha.
Your improvement is absolutely awesome.
I will say this though... Good luck on your 'final' procedure.
Eventually satsifaction should come from within and your life should go on and never look back.
Your improvement is nothing short of amazing and it's things like this post that could be used as a study of acne scarring improvement to help many others down the line, doctors included.
Best of luck to you.
Ernesto your results are amazing!! I am so happy for you!
Sharing your story will help so many people with scarring, folks like many of us who walk into a derm or PS office and are told "there's not much help for you" or "this expensive laser is a cure-all." Thank you so much for sharing your progress with this community. As soon as I save the $ I want to try this treatment!
