Holy sh*t man your skin looks so much better than before! Now that micro-swelling is gone, we can clearly see how well the procedure turned out! I'd definitely say at least 50% improvement bro, congrats
PS: I'll be in Los Angeles next month and am looking into a doc who might be doing something similar to what Dr. Khan did for Ernestoria. If anybody has some info I'd appreciate it, thanks.
I am looking now into having a second procedure done in the next 2 weeks with Dr. Khan. He has recommended that Stem Cells and Dermarolling together will take us to a significant improvement. Still deciding if I am going to go ahead or not.
Unbelievable improvement, Ernestoria!
Just a question: Can you tell us more on how to combine Dermarolling and Stem Cells. How long would the downtime be?
Thank you.
Wow major improvement.
Quick questions: Did you ever take accutane? Also, have you broken out at all since the procedure?
Yes, I took accutane twice. First course for 1 year when I was 18 and again another course of 6 months when I was 25. (I am now 30)
Nop, have not broken out at all. Only a couple of spot on my forehead but that was just because I was trying to squeeze two blackheads I had. As we all know, not a good thing to do. But havent had any outbreak at all, on teh contrary my skin is much better, less oily, less spotty. I was breaking out before the procedure, but it all stopped after it.

I couldnt give you a technical answer. As I said I have just started to look into it and it is Dr Khan's recommendation. I trust him so I will do as he says. I have found the combination to be the key to sucess so.. why not to try another one? He said this time I will only need 1 week downtime. I am taking 9 days off just in case.
does anyone know if Re-Cell is being done in America?
Based on what I read about it I don't really consider this "stem cell" treatment...so I was wondering why this is never done here.
Re-Cell and Stem Cells are two different treatments.
I had Re-Cell with teh subcision and the Fraxel and will now have Stem Cells.
Re-Cell enhances the healing, Stem Cells is basically a filler (in gross terms!)
Ernestoria,
I am not too familiar with either re-cell or stem cells but I believe it is a good idea to continue with subcision. Your scars are ideal for subcision. I think another 1-3 rounds of subcision will lift up your scars to the same level as the rest of your skin. I'm sure stem cells and dermarolling will give you even more improvement.
I would look into stem cells and/or re-cell but I do not have too much money to invest in scar treatment. I am going to stick to subcision since it is fairly inexpensive compared to the other treatments out there. Maybe down the road, when I graduate college and if my scars are still visible, I will get re-cell or stem cells done.
Anyways, your estimates are quite precise. 55% improvement so far. Your face looks MUCH MUCH better.
BTW, you may also want to look into phenol peels as a final treatment. It is a deep peel that will smooth-en out the edges of those scars.
Money is hard to make. I'm glad your money did not go to waste in vain.
Dude because of you i booked a Fraxel Re-pair.Your success is inspiring and thats just one repair!! Dudley has done three and he is happy with the results.I think i would'nt do anything for a few more months as your skin is still remodeling.I would do a second in one years time, your getting there, this has been one of the best to date.
I agree with the last two posters. I would wait at least a good 4 more months before doing anything else. Let your skin heal and let the collagen form!!! You've gotten amazing results so far and if you do the whole thing again in 8 to 12 months you will look even better!
You've also encouraged me to really get serious about saving for my Re;pair. Also going to talk to my doc about subscision along with it as I think that is a great combo.
Please keep updating at least once a month! This is very encouraging. don't let the negative people get to you. We all know how depressing acne scarring is and some people can't help themselves. We've all been searching for so long to find something to help our scarring. I know I still get so depressed and I too have spent thousands on treatments with some results but yes, as you age you have to keep it up. It's something you will have to deal with your whole life to keep the collagen plumping!
Keep the positive attitude. Its good to read when you're feeling down. Thanks. You look great!!!!
Hey Ernesto, I might suggest waiting four more months before doing any more procedures. I noticed improvement 6 months on after doing a laser treatment, and I imagine with the Re-Cell you'll be getting some long-term benefits from that as well.
That's probably a good idea, especially after you had Repair done. It is a really aggressive treatment. Give your skin some time for collagen to grow, that way you can also monitor how much collagen really does build within the following months.
Hi Ernesto,
After hearing your amazing journey with Dr Khan, I made an appointment to see him with regards to my scarring on my nose.
Dr Khan is a lovely man & really made me feel at ease. As a result I booked my appointment for Stem Cell treatment with him. I am recording my before & after pictures. You can visit the link below:

Ernesto, I want to say thank you. You gave me that hope and inspiration that we really can beat our scars, and I hope it works for me!
My appointment is booked on March 20th!
I wanted to ask, how did you manage to go out before, during, and after the procedure?
I find it so hard dealing with people every single day looking at my face and touching theirs as though to check if they too have a scarred skin like I do.
How do you go to school or work looking like that and dealing with people? Please give me some pointers :'(

If you want to get any invasive procedure done, you will have to make some time.
I quit my job just so that I can improve on my scars. I planned it out though and saved up a lot of money.
hi,
wanted to jump on and say, congrats on the before and after. The new current pics are about a 60% improvement imo. When I had to jump back and look at your before pics, they sure were sort of hard to look at. Still, the improvement to your skin is great. I guess getting past the initial "wtf do I look like all burnt and messed up" is worth it! Chin up. I'm happy for you.
Stage II: Subcision + Stem Cells + Derma Rolling
So... I just got back from the clinic after having done Stem Cells (together with a small round of subcision before and some dermarolling after). Once again, Dr Khan went for another Combo treatment.
I have to say that the pain this time round was nothing compared to what it was when I had the first combo done two months ago (Subcision, Fraxel Repair and ReCell). -see first post on this thread-
First Dr Khan removed the fat tissue from the upper sides of my hips (love handles area) and not really my tummy as he said I had very little there. He applied local anaesthetic first and then another round of deeper anaesthetic and then when in with the canula to extract all the fat graft. He took about 400-500 ml from both sides.
I was then put in the recovery room to rest and the assistant applied a numbing cream on my face and after 2 hours I went back into the operation theatre room and Dr Khan applied local anaesthetic on my face, small subcutaneous injections like if it was Botox or something like that. This anaesthetic made effect very quickly and straight away with a big syringe he started to inject the solution produced in the lab with my fat tissue and stem cells. This felt a bit weird... I could feel the thick and long needle cutting through my deep dermis and I sort of could hear the tissue tearing up but I had no pain. (It was like going to the dentist to have an extraction under full anaesthetic)
After all that Dr Khan did a bit of Derma Rolling and then I was all done and ready to go.
I am a bit swollen, but not as much as when I had the Fraxel. What hurts are the wounds around my tummy/hips where the stem cells where extracted from, but I am taking pain killers for that. Dr thinks I should be fully recovered within a week. I am also a bit red
I shall keep you all posted and updated.
