I did the derma roller at the docs. Now I have broken cappillaries under my eyes and on my nose. is this normal??? i am not going back. I give up on getting rid of scars. unless i get a whole face transplant
Just get a cactus needle that is sharp, strong and not too thick... pop one scar with it until there is no more cracking sound, throw out the needle and wait for 1.5-2 months..
WHAT????
Yep... I think it had some benefit... If you were to try it you would know what I'm talking about. Basically, there is scar tissue under the skin... even if its indented, and my logic was that this scar tissue is holding the skin down and that's why it's indented... Plus the scar tissue is seen as "healed" by the body, and you need to break it down in some way to heal better. So if you stick a needle into a scar, you will hear a popping sound... Scar tissue breaking... I just did this lets say 50 times (for a largish indented scar) and tried to do it from various angles... Then after 24 hours, put topicals, like anything with collagen, or maybe rosehip oil, etc etc.. anything with vitamins (A/C) and/or collagen. I am not sure how effective all the things I did were... The scars are overall much less noticeable now, but I dont bother taking pictures... basically cause I dont want to remember how shitty I looked... I dont even want to see those pics.
But there was a pretty deep scar on my forehead that did not respond to needling at all and I used glycolic acid on it, diluted to maybe 60%... It was a gamble, but I felt desperate.. Anyway, about 2 minutes after I applied the acid, I said "shit I think I screwed up". The scar looked REALLY deep ad obvious... But I did this before bed and just went to sleep... Then I just avoided looking at it for a few days.. It took maybe 4-5 days to crust, and fell off after maybe 10 days. Now it's been maybe 3 or 4 months, and the scar has diminished by like 80-90 percent... So I think the glycolic works better than needling. So I haven't needled in a while.. I think there are scars that improve up to a certain point with needling, but after that, there is not much more improvement... I am planning to use glycolic acid on all the scars that are still visible.. But I need to find a time when I can be alone for 10 days and that's difficult. If you use the acid, try to go with a 50-65% concentration, I think its safer than 100%
Is broken cappillaries normal after needling? Do they go away after? Also when you did needling did ur skin look like an old hags the first while? :s
Havefaith I also forgot to ask do u poke just the inside of scar with needle or the whole inside and ridges and outside or what? :s
really like the results of the dermastamp single shallow scars filled in great ...really gonna get another as i broke that one and get single needles
Isn't it a bit too early to say that? Didn't you only start like a week ago? :s
Lol! It hasn't even been 2 full days yet.
Rob, What happened to giving your skin a break?!!
i did for 2 weeks
hey nope.avi when i'm dermarolling my skin its healing back tighter right ? so basically it'll tighten up alot after a year?

thats exactly what i was thinking ...when the skin heals it tightens ...my skin looks so much better when i pull it tight under the jawline the scars almost dissapear ...wish i could just get my skin tightened somehow ...but i think rolling regular from now on will only help your skin and preserve it ...

GIVE ME A BREAK 😀
tokyo don't you have pitted scars ..if i were u i'd do needling on them
I was referring to how long it's been since you dermastamped. I thought you tried it for the first time two days ago.
No way in hell am I sticking needles in my face. No thank you! Best of luck to you though.
Ive tried this twice in a week, not done anything as yet, but I know it takes months for scars to heal and new skin cells to regrow....
I bought a roller on ebay.. a .5mm one. Doesnt really hurt but afterwards my face tingles alittle. I did it on my nose the other day and it made my nose bleed in one spot.
Hello,
i need some clear advice / help.
I have 1,5mm Dermaroller and Some deeper acne scars on my cheeks. Exactly which Creme should i use right after the Treatment and 3 days after? i always read vitamin a and c serum. But which one? and are these 2 different cremes? I heard because of the cremes the process is more effective
Everyone uses their own choice of stuff, but I personally just use a vitamin c serum right after rolling and here and there over the next few days..
As for my own rolling efforts.. I rolled with a 1.5 on May 15th and will probably roll again on September 15th after everything I've read from dermarolling success stories. People (including myself) really don't give the skin enough time to heal and form that new collagen.. We all want results -fast- and that can lead to problems. Good results take time.
I'm using a 1.0mm. My scars don't look too deep, so it should suffice. However, it's the scientia roller and advises me to do 5 times a week with normal pressure, or once a week with harder pressure... so, is normal pressure just rolling it without pressing? Like, just roll it up and down - which does give some feel already.

havefaith, Did it gradually fill in or did it look 80-90% better right after the scab fell off? I recently spot treated a new scar just to get the redness out with 50% glycolic and I noticed a difference in the depth as well. Nowhere near 80-90% though so just curious.
Well, it didnt fill in all at once... I think it took several months... Definitely if there was any immediate improvement after the scab fell off, it wasnt much. I think maybe 80-90% may be an overstatement on my part... maybe more accurate would be around 75% improvement... still good though.
Does glycolic help with redness? I was kind f scared to try because I thought it may make it more red...
I used something like 65-75% concentration, I think 2 parts of acid (100%) mixed with 1 part water. Still scares me, even though I had a good experience...
I applied it to a more linear boxcar type scar but silly me used a q-tip so I got the acid outside of the scar. Around the scar was red and is now more pink but the redness inside the scar has drastically gone down and it is almost my normal skin color now. It's only about 3 months old. If it'll begin to fill in over the next few weeks I'll be ecstatic!
