Thank you guys so much for the kind words! I know this is my mission why else would I've been cursed with acne and scars if it wasnt to help others and to have empathy for our situation. To answer your questions no I did not use terproline, I used 2.0 dermaroller and I also used diabetic 30 gauge lancet to needle some of the deeper ones, I used the led every night for the first two months and now I use every other night which seems to be working even better, and lastly my scarring was mainly boxcar type a few icepicks they ranged from mild to moderate only on my cheeks. Hope this helps! :)

Nothing lol Im pretty pain tolerant! I did try some emla from the office and it didnt seem to make that much of a difference for the time. We do have another one that works faster I may try it one day. But I do recommend you to use one because the more aggressive and the more pin points of course the better the results.

I would say you are very pain tolerant because rolling is painfull to say the least. But I guess I dont need to tell you. lol. you gotta do what you gotta do. my first session I did with nothing and it was rough. But I just figured its worth it.. I am willing to do whatever it takes.

do you prefer the wide rollers or the 3 row rollers?? sorry to pour on the questions. I have allready started about 7 weeks ago with a wide 1.5mm roller. But its good to hear the thoughts of an experienced roller. you might have some advice that I can use..

Later. 🙂

hey erynn, first off congrats on the success! next, as per your regimen, was it just roller and LEDs? No topicals?

Thanks!

Could this possibly help improve scarred pores?

I never had used the 3 row roller but definitely interested Ive heard you have more control and can make the needles penetrate further but I dont know personally. I use 302 products sometimes and occasionally l-asborbic acid which is a vitamin c but not consistently topicals tend to aggraviate my acne, and yes it will defineitely help with scarred pores.

I'm really glad that people are having success with the techniques i suggested. Over time more and more will emerge and i'm pretty confident it will be the mainstay treatment for mild-severe scarring.

I definenetly recommend the 3-4 row rollers, they move over the skin much better. I know alot of people are using copper peptides and topical abscrobic acid but i don't think this is needed. And i believe they can sometimes undo some of the good, i would stick to taking 1000-3000mg internally.

My concern with people using all these different topicals is that although they are said to increase collagen production, there has only been anecdotal reports for most of them. I don't want people to disrupt the natural wound healing mechanisms, either by rolling to often or using topicals that can potentially do this.

I think most people should try doing one session with the topicals, then anouther without. I still think terproline ( i don't like plugging things but terproline is very non irritating etc) is fine though, but that is only because it has been tested clinically for similar if not identical applications.

hey lamarr, thanks for the motivational words man

I had some questions regarding your bout with AMVC: how long did it last, and were you trying anything to combat it (internals, or terproline etc)?

Also, how severe were your new scars from it, and these scars, you said they healed faster than the older acne induced scars...how well did they heal?

thanks and again sorry for the barrage of questions

PS I am just about done with my AMVC struggle, it lasted about 2.5 months...very stressful and anxiety/depressing to deal with...I started taking copper sebacate as it works to restore lysyl oxidase (for cross linking collagen), and some Vit C...as well as stopping anti acne topicals for a couple weeks...it was induced by the chemical alpha arbutin (closely related to HQ, which gave me AMVC for 3 months about 3 years ago)

Well, If I had a choice, I would go with the terproline but here in the USA it isn't available. The next best thing I was able to find was the copper peptides from Skin Biology. Yes there those who reported that they had no luck at all with them after long periods of usage. There are however many who claim great results. The CPs do more then increase collagen. According to Dr. Pickart the man behind them, the scar tissue is eroded/eaten ( gradually) away and fresh skin development takes it's place.

I will give it a go with the CPs for a time. The way I look at it, it can't hurt. I highly doubt there can be an extreme negative effect on scrarring from using it. As to the topical vitamin c. Once again all the research I have read show it increasing collagen not causing damage. Lamarr if you have come across a report or what have you, please refer me to it. If it can create a negative, I will drop it in a heartbeat.

Copper peptides and topical Vitamin C supposedly negate each other. If you use both, use them 12 hours apart.

I think lamarr mentioned in another post that there was no difference with the Terproline professional and the Ordinary Terproline.

I have read the thread but i am still a bit confused could someone answer some questions for me?

1: Could you give me the exact site where you buy the needles and dermaroller?

2: I had 3 dermaroller sessions by Dr Chu is the process the same e.g. anaesthetic cream, leave for half an hour then dermaroll?

3: do i need to worry about doing myself damage or do i just roll the scar as hard as i can?

4: after the sessions with dr chu i just washed my face and left it for about a day until the swelling went i then just returned to my normal reg (cleanse and moisturize) is this okay or should i get some Terproline ?

Thanks for your time.

Mine went on for about 9 months on and off dude, but i think its partly because of the tane induced rosacea i had. This AMVC seems to happen when inflammation of the cappilaries is initiated, seens as yours was probably from the HQ, you should be fine now bro. I wouldn't do too much for the scarring until you are certain you aren't scarring anymore... When you dermaroll it creates some inflammation and i actually picked up some more AMVC scars when i dermaroled once. I knew it was a risk though.

I think the AMVC scars have less fibrosis because of the nature in which they are created, they seem to respond slightly better to treatments than acne scars yes. But my acne scars have improved pretty much the same now, the AMVC ones just needed less treatments.

Give it another month my friend.

i believe u have to be agressive the standard down time is 1 week before u could go out in public

you dermaroll, 1 hour after aply bactroban, for the first 24 hours have vasoline on the skin to keep it moist then resume with a gentle cleanser and moisterizer...

in 4-6 weeks do it again, and hopefully u have some good results,, u aslo need a led infrared

instead of terpoline i ust retina but very small amounts,

i also work out and jog to stimulate testosterone and growth hormones, beneficial for skin healing.

Hey dude,

As i said i haven't read any studies or anything suggesting they are bad for the skin, just from what i have read in general sometimes they actually appear to make scarring alter (sometimes becomign deeper). Again you have to take that with a pinch of salt, but make sure the positive stories you are reading aren't from his forum.... I have read alot about copper peptides and used them both for hairloss and scarring and tbh i just haven't been impressed and personally i woudl rather use something else and not risk denaturing any of the active ingriedients in the other topicals.

Topical ascorbic acid i do think can help as i have dabed it on healing scars before and it does seem to help them fill in. But like i said i prefer terproline again because i dont want to mix topicals and risk deactivating some of them/making them less effective, we really have no idea what happens when you mix topicals.

Jannn, that is probably not the professional strength

I think lamarr mentioned in another post that there was no difference with the Terproline professional and the Ordinary Terproline.

I theorise that there is little difference, simply because when you read the list of ingriedients there is very little difference between the teo. Either way even if it isn't as strong you will still get good results.

1. I have posted links to things before bro, if you read the whole thread there are links to pretty much everything!!

2.process is the same as with dr chu, i copy what he does when dermarolling.

3. you won't do damage SO LONG as you are very carefull with dissinfecting things, again i have mentioned the precautions you should take in this thread.

4. terproline or something would be good, make sure it is non irritating. Don;t mix topicals at the same time as peopel have said, use them 12 hrs apart.

OMG Lamarr I just read that you picked up more spontanous scars from Dermarolling. Was it the first time you rolled. As you know I am suffering from spontanous scarring i though it stoped and then yesterday bang another one appeared and then faded back into the skin alittle. I did two mini rolls so now I am scared to dermaroll. I am off Accutane since the end of March. An assh*le doc did an IPL on me on June 2nd when I was only off Tane for 2 months then the scaring started appearing in July. It was the worst in October and I thought it stopped but now i am not so sure. I am going to just use the roller on my stretch marks on my body.

I ordered the Red/Infa Red and the amber LED lights from the LEDman and was sooo psyched to use them now I am a little afread. Do you think it would be safe to use on my face. I don't know but I think I read somewhere that the red/infra red help with Roceaca by bringing more oxyen to the capilaries. Is that true and if it is is that stimutationg them that might cuase more spontanous scaring?????

Please let me know what you think about the lights also wanted to order the terpoline and apply it to my face do you think that would be safe or not.

How long do you think I should wait to Dermaroll. How many months were you off Tane and how many months after you thought the spontanous scaring was over did you roll and pick up more scars and then how long after that did you roll and it was safe and did not cause more scars.

Wow you are brave after I rooled and got more scars I would have been terrified to roll again.

Amy it is why i recommended that you wait a few months before rolling your face remember!! I didn't want to tell you the full reason but i still said you should wait!

Anyway.... Wait a few more months, the lights and terproline is fine for the moment. Remember no vitamin A in any form either in supplements or topical retinoids etc. Avoid omega supplements aswell. I recommend you take an anti histamine for two days before you roll next time just to be sure!!

Best wishes,

mark
