I have needled most scars individually about 4 times ish. Dermaroller i have had 6 times i think yes. It has been longer than a year now and i've lost track of numbers if i'm honest...Remember to get small blood clotts (almost liek small blood blisters) when you are doing the dermaroller and needling, i believe that is key to success.
When you expose these small clotts to the light therapy you stimulate the stem cells which have been recruited. These are what re model the scar.
Yeah I still have to wait a bit now after my Total FX laser. I am also thinking about trying the blood injections as well as needling. I think that it really makes sense and it would really be beneficial with the LED as well. I just don't know how well I will be able to take blood from myself.
Guys this is totally off topic, but i ask a favour of everyone who i have helped.
Can all of you watch the 11th hour if you haven't seen it already. It has really opened my eyes to what we are doing to this planet and i have watched things like an inconvienient truth before aswell.
Please watch it if you use bit torrent or something, if not rent it on dvd etc.
Even if only one person watches it, this post as worth it.
Cheers guys.
I did some needling on a scarred/depressed area on my cheek (around 10 punctures...) and...it bled...and two days later, you can still see the blood just below the skin (the epidermis I guess/?). Is this right?
And I'm wondering, for those who've done needling and were left with bloody redness on the area punctured few to several times, did you guys use make-up to cover up?
Thanks very much for the help. i have ordered the needles. I also have scarred pores on my nose and either 2 very minor ice picks or 2 very deep sets of scarred pores (looks like the nike tick)on my temple. for these type of scars do i just insert the needle into the holes/pores and not the area around it? Also because of the thinness of the skin on the nose and temple in comparison with the cheek do you go not go as deep?the thin skinned area's like the forehead respond well to lesser depth..I have not treated my nose so I dont want to speak on something I have not done..I treat my scared pores the same way..
do you use the same needles?
http://www.westons.com/acatalog/Online_Cat...eedles_137.html
Anyway i have just got the needles and am in a bit of a problem. i practisced it on my arm and sometimes it was going in fine and then sometimes it seemed harder to get in. also once the needle is slightly in , it is extremely hard to control the depth of it and i end up inserting the whole needle. were you like this when you first did it and have you any tips on making sure you keep the right depth of 1.5 to 2mm? thanks.
Also do you use any topicals after needling?
Make sure you pull the skin tight, and i find if you use your fingers as a rest (make sure it doesn't touch the area you are needling though). Use them as if you were writing with a pen if you get hat i mean, whilst pulling the skin tight.
thanks for the help. how many times do you hit the scar? e.g. would you hit a scarred pore once or 3-4 times? also have you ever been deeper than 3mm on your scars and if so did it make them worse /do any damage?
Keep hitting the scarred pore as much as you can. Until you can't make it out anymore. I would say you need to hit it atleast 20 times. I have used more than 3mm and no it did not do any damage, but i wouldn't recommend going deeper than 3 mm to anyone because needling past that is kind of risky....

i tried it today on my face and the whole needle went in. it is so hard, infact impossible to stop the whole needle going in. i remember further back on the thread you said you had stoppers for the needles could you tell me what they are made out of so i can try and make my own? because i cannot find them anywhere... on ebay they only sell ones for knitting neddles.
lamarr, when are you going to post your recent pictures. I am really curious how your skin is looking. Also its hard to tell in your pics how deep your scarring was.
I posted a recent pic further back in the thread!!

I used stoppers to begin with but they kind of restrict the accuracy of the whole process. They are good for people begining to needle. I don't use them anymore though and i have no problem controlling the depth. You need to use your fingers to restrict the needles going to deep, use them like a pen and control the pressure and speed of which the needles penetrate. You can control the depth.
i would happily tell you where to buy them, but i don't know where. I said earlier in the thread that i get the stoppers from my father, he is a dentist. They are made out of rubber, but you don't really want to start trying to make them because they won't be sterile....
I remember someone saying they managed to find them online, i have searched myself an not managed to find them. Sorry i can't help anymore with those.
So hi Lamarr--- I think its great how much time, energy, and dedication you have put forth to help yourself and now others! Not that the rest of us haven't put time and energy in, but it is awesome to see your results and to know that you found something that really works. i have tried everything and have gotten myself to a place where I don't break out as much at all, but I am left with similar scars, very similar to yours. About 6 months ago I got 2 fraxel treatments spaced a month apart and it left me so inflammed and WAY worse than I was before!!!! What a waste of money!!! So I recently ordered the penetrating light therapy machine and just recieved it in the mail, and I have a dermal roller from the company leaf and rusher, the needles are very short (prob. .5 or .75 in length) and I have used it once. I made sure to competely sterilize the roller and roll in all directions in areas of need on my face. I was pink for a day and didn't bleed at all. But a few days later I broke out with a lot of cystic type lesions and i haven't used it again yet. i want to be sure i have all of the things you have reccommended so i can counteract any inflammation that may come about from the needling. I dont want to take up a lot of your time by asking you to start at the beginning and give a list of your reccommendations, but that is kind of what i need cause i have read back in a lot of the comments and still feel like I am missing a lot of stuff. So.... i should
*Use led light twice a day for 9 min? 7 days a week?
*Order some individual diabetic needles 5mm 31 g to spot treat on my scars and put them in only 4mm on an angle??? How often? the stopper i may be able to get a hold of.. im in my last semester of dental hygiene school.
*Use a topical antibiotic one time after rolling??? Which one would be good? and should I order the roller that is 1.5 to 2mm in length? If i have this length i roll every 6-8 weeks? how much down time? is there a numbing cream used prior?
*i have systemic vitamin c, do u use topical vit c as well?
sorry for all the Q,s... if you could sum it up and give me your treatment plan dr. lamarr or if you could direct me to a place on the site where you already did that. Thank you so much and I'm so very happy for u!!! you're HOT!!!!
Has anyone ever tried needling/rolling, and then adding a TCA peel on top? Just curious if the TCA going in the the needled areas would benefit like a cross session?
Thanks for any input.
I'm still doing all of my research for home needling/rolling, but hope to start soon.

I think i'm going to put together exactly what ihave done over the past 18 months so that i can copy and paste it, i get asked so so many times and i feel bad when i don't have time to reply.
I will answer all of your questions later tongiht though!!

I wouldn't do this on my face, the results would just be to unpredictable. The microchannels created by the needling would mean hundreds more times of the TCA would be absorbed. I don't like acids anyway.
hi lamarr1986does green led have any benefit on the skin?
some websites state that green leds will lighten up hyperpigmentation.
I haven't read any reports, be it anecdotal or otherwise. People are just begining to use the green frequency on certian skin care forums. No one has really reported any results as of yet.
lamarr: i've decided to buy one of the lights but which one do i need? i know you have said previously in thread but if i read through this thread again my eyes will explode! will the one for $119 dollars work? http://www.theledman.net/order.html
also is there anywhere in england that sells them?
also how vital to the improvement process do you believe terporline is? or will the needling followed by LED show good results ?(bearing in mind i have had dermaroller without any topicals after and have seen decent results.)
thanks again for the help so far.

the hand helds are fine..lamaar suggests the red and yellow leds..5 minutes per side of the face with each..Not sure if anybody in england sells them..this is where lamaar purchased his led so I would just purchase from here or you have to hunt down your own source..lamaar believes terproline is important or he would not suggest using it..I am in the US so I cant get it..but if you can, you might as well follow lamaars exact program..you need to purchase a quality topical one way or another..might as well purchase the on that worked for lamaar..
I know this question was for lamaar xab..I just want to try to help lamaar with questions if its something I can help with..he has been getting bombarded with the same questions..
good luck..
I keep saying this because i don't want people to get the wrong idea about any of these products.
By themselves, they will do very little to improve your scarring. If you were to use terproline, light therapy etc by itself you would get very little improvement in your scarring.
It is a synergetic effect when used with needling, dermaroller, lasers, peels etc.
Now i believe terproline and all the leds wavelengths i suggest work best with needling and dermaroller, but they will enhance the results from anything.
They do this by making the healing process more efficient. Same goes for the terproline!!
So to answer your question, i guess if you do some needling then start using the terproline and leds right after, then yes it will be working from very soon on. For noticable results you need a few months though!!
Hi, i have a question that has not been asked by anyone. i use Dove summer glow daily face mositurizer every 2 nights to give my face a bit of colour. Could someone tell me if using this will mean the terporline and the LED lights will not work? I thought because it is a moisturzier rather than a fake tan it would not stop the terpolrine and LED working, am i correct?
