sorry i didn't see his post above yours, oops! Anyway I will let you know what happens. I am trying to collect as much info as i can before i go so i can convince him to use this. I even ordered 1 sheet to bring to his office with me. I haven't recieved it yet, I just got an email saying they were out of stock temporarily. I want to try this on a large hypopigmented scar on my forehead and hopefully it will not only improve the scars unevenness but also maybe get some pigment back. If it doesn't work i just keep my bangs and keep trying. Hopefully it does work because then i have a large excision scar along my nasiolabal fold that i will try next and some others too. Lets keep our fingers crossed!

You order 1 sheet of Acell? ACell does not sell by the sheet. They sell in boxes of 5 or 10. And you have to be an MD to order their products.

Acell also said in their email that you need a prescription to get this but I ordered it, and so far they have not asked for a prescription. ??? Go to americanrx.com and do a search for matristem they come up in two different sizes. I am still waiting on my order, they sent me an email saying they were out of stock and my ordered would be processed as soon as possible, even though the website says they are in stock.

I'm sure the product's in-stock. They're going to want to speak with you over the phone to verify that you're a doc.

Not to hi-jack the thread (a little late for that imo), but I've started a new thread to document my usage of ACell. Click here.

hey sgxyo3man, Does your doctor know how deep he'll have to go to attack the stretch mark? I know that stretch marks aren't at the surface of the skin, there a little bit more deeper. Also are these stretch marks faded or bright red?

hey sgxyo3man, did you asked how long would the whole healing process take approximately? Also, just wanted to know your opinions on whether it will provide a truly scarless result..

Hi All!

Would MatriStem would on skin that has just been rolled? I am really tempted to purchase this from the AmericanRX site (looks like they are still selling sans prescription). Before I do, I would like your opinions on this.

Thanks.

Deadliestcatch,

I am asking if anyone thinks this product may be useful in conjunction with dermarolling. According to the description, it is

"a natural extracellular matrix that can be applied to the site of an injury or damaged skin in order to encourage the body's own capabilities to repair and restore tissue."

Dermarolling and needling injure the skin and stimulate the healing response and collagen induction. Instead of using a topical after rolling/needling, would applying the MatriStem ECM wound sheets augment the body's natural healing process? I am not suggesting to use it to close an open wound, just as an adjunct to rolling to encourage would healing. This product is an extracellular matrix and so would contain many of the essential factors involved in the collagen induction process. I see this as, possibly, a (better) option that using a Vitamin A product or terpoline.

Any comments?

C.

oh now i see what your saying.

Acell said there making a gel form of ECM. Maybe after you rolled you could cover your face with the gel. This might work against anti aging. just think of rolling every day and applying that gel. I don't think the wound sheets will help tho because it wouldn't be apply correctly, gel form seems better.

you should order some ceiliaR, and try it out. Talk with a plastic surgean.

I was bored so I emailed Acell and this is what they said.

Me: just curious on if your product will benefit someone with excision and acne scarring? if a scar is already formed can ECM regenerate skin if they remove the scar tissue? has there ever been a person that had this treatment?

Mike Manning from Acell:

Thank you for your interest in ACell's regenerative medicine products and technology. Our MatriStem medical products are now available by prescription through your physician, hospital or clinic. Medline, our medical distributor for wound care, also has product in stock.

ACellas MatriStem product is proving to be an effective treatment for scar revisions but does require removal of the existing scar tissue. Unfortunately we do not have any experience specifically revising acne scars at this time.

We would be happy to email or talk to your physician and provide technical information on ACell's products and procedures.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Best regards

Deadliest Catch,

Thanks for checking. Basically, what they are saying is that they have not investigated this therapy for acne scarring and don't want to venture any claims as to its effectiveness.

Since the scar tissue must first be removed (debrided), my idea of using Matristem after rolling is moot.

I would still attempt this, however, since the ECM scaffold they provide also has other natural factors (to stimulate the healing process) that are not found in any topicals currently available on the market. The only drawback is that the product is so d*mn expensive. One sheet is $100+ and they are not very big. I could not find the powder anywhere on the net.

Geez, all this goes to show is how desperate I am for a cure!

Once again, thanks bunches.

C.

We don't know the effects of Acell on humans, but we should have some serious evidence of its effectiveness on animals before we can decide what to do next.

Could anybody point to an article about Acell regenerating the skin without scars in animals?

Could you help us?

Isoflous,

The FDA would not have approved the product for use in humans unless it had been tested on animals first. It's part of the approval process.

This inkjet printer can not only eliminate scarring, regenerate skin, but also produce high quality skin even better than before.

Although it sounds science fiction, I think we are near a cure.

http://www.pcworld.com/article/118815/your...rn_victims.html

The unique feature of this printer is that it can print skin tissue on the site without the need for grafting.

thats why any predictions should be shoved a side. Utter b*llshit. Cold hard evidence is of scarless healing is what we need now, not any predictions of "its near" or "we will have results by halloween".

There are no predictions by me. As I have proven scar free healing is here now, as in yesterday.

sgxyo3man,

Will you be having ACell injected into your scars?

If not, what about combining ACell topical powder with injection of PRP + GF-ECMs? Joseph Greco is training other docs accross North America in his PRP + GF-ECM injection for hair growth: [removed]

they say you have to have that precudure on your hair every year, what the heck does that mean? shouldn't it last forever?

I belive if the hairloss is not the result of androgenic alopecia (AA) (where the hairloss is a result of too much of certain dihydrotestosterone [DHT] and gentics) then the results would be permanent unless there is another underlying hormonal cause for the hair loss.

Since with AA, your body is still producing enough DHT to singnal the hair to fall out. Where PRP, working via another method than DHT, compensates to produce only temporary results.

Does this makes sense?

Through research I say that with 100% confidence. But as I decide for myself, it is for you to decide for yourself.

Read the PDF I have wrote. In there is the valid fact that scar free healing is here.

Read the Heber-Katz cite,

read up about decorin which has completely stopped collagen over expression (i.e. scarring) on fibrils,

(Logic: read up on how scar free healing is proved every time you regenerate anything, saying our scarring mechanism is excess collagen on the fibrils which blocks our intercellular tissues from growing through the ECM to create the site specific tissue.)

read up on Dr's who have seen scar free healing in 2002, etc.
