As K95 mentioned, the results are pretty dramatic, and KK stated on the telegram group that his skin is still improving.
He said that hes overall very satisfied with his results and he's someone that previously spended more than 150k usd in every type of scar treatment without any success. So if this doesnt show the potential of Verteporfin, well, i dont know what does.
Also, there are surgeons worldwide already using Verteporfin off-label for hair transplant and scalp advancement with success. On hairlosstalk there is a thread about it.

How does someone manage to spend $150,000 USD on scar treatment, how many different procedures would that be? It is great that he is finally having success.

He has many scars and it seems he fights them for very long and tried many many treatments. I dont feel comfortable to share what he said in his private group on telegram since im not him and i dont feel its "right" to share those personal things he said about his attempts to fix his skin. No one better than him could disclose those things here and he's already aware of this forum. All i can say is that, this guy is a hero and has done alot for science and for us scar sufferers. I hope he finds his peace along with his success battling his scars. All kudos to him
Hello good afternoon, does anyone know how well the microcoring called ellacor manufactured by cytrellis works, which says that it removes 8% of the skin in each session with needles and manages to tighten the skin, I have seen videos of wrinkles, but I have not seen in acne scars, they say that in miami dermatology & laser institute they have used it for acne scars and it has worked well for them but they do not have videos or images, it seems promising for acne scars because with several sessions more skin is removed and tightens more skin, if anyone has information or videos and photos please let us know, thanks.

I've been wondering the same. Not for acne scars butsurgery scars. Does anyone knows how good it works?

New research paper published regarding scarless healing. It mentions Verteporfin.

Doctors do excision to remove acne scars. Same concept but mechanized. Takes a long time to heal ..waiting for better post procedure treatment
Complete regeneration of HUMAN hair follicles with verteporfin: https://folliclethought.com/donor-healing-study-with-verteporfin-by-dr-barghouthi/
A Turkish hair transplant surgeon injected different concentrations of verteporfin after punching out follicular units for extraction. At all concentrations, the injected sites regenerated **with hair** 84 days later while the control sites scarred over. The fact that this is happening at all is huge -- it means that complete regeneration of tissue (with hair!) -- is possible with verteporfin.
And this is with a one-time injection as well. Ostensibly, doing multiple injections of verteporfin and re-excising the percentage that failed can eventually lead to complete regeneration of scarred areas, even if it takes a while.

That's the KK guy btw
Theres a new microcoring technology, that also mentions scars in their presentation. Its by Venus concepts, called the Venus Aime (Robocor), its supposed to remove up to 15% tissue during a single session. The presentation starts on page 27 of the document.
anyone have any more information?

Results from the Dr. Barghouthi FUE hair transplant trial with verterpofin at 119 days post-op (left is control, right is with verteporfin). At 0.4 g injected **one time**, it seems that roughly half of the holes regenerate with hyperpigmentation and hair follicles. Note that these are 1 mm holes he is trying to regenerate, which is different from trying to avoid a stitched incision scar, as Longaker attempted in the pig trials. Thread: https://folliclethought.com/donor-healing-study-with-verteporfin-by-dr-barghouthi/
Seems very promising. On the hairlossrestoration thread, Barghouthi says that he is trying to standardize the method of injection so that he can get better results.
Hypertrophic scar on nose disappeared after excision, closure with dissolveable suture, and **one time** injection with veteporfin. This was done in India (the patient had to bring his own verteporfin to the doctor). Realself thread: https://www.realself.com/review/scar-removal-scarless-healing-verteporfin-scar-revision
Note that this is easier than what the hair loss guys are trying to do, which is regenerate a 1 mm diameter hole (FUE punch site).

What is this? verteporfin?mice result?
Hey guys, so this thread seems to have stopped for now. But i would still want to hear more about the Verteporfin. As far as i can tell, this stuff is INCREDIBLY expensive here in Europe (about 1800 USD per 15mg injection alone). Did this person with the great scar healing only do one injection or multiple? At what intervals and doses? Is this known? Also, like @eternal-maldition-backs asked: I assume this was injected intradermally/subcutanously into the scar? The only approved medical application of Verteporfin uses intravenous application, to treat an eye disorder with photoactivation after letting the drug circulate through the blood to reach the eye. I wonder if it known if subcutanous injection results in toxicity or is contraindicated (i.e. if the drug does not disperse fast enough out of the skin). Please guys, if anyone knows more info please share! They recently discovered it might also work for skeletal muscle fibrosis.
someone has news of Sunogel or verteporfn? otherwise I discovered this interesting article : Scientists unlock the key to scar-free skin healing, in mice - STAT (statnews.com) " Longaker envisions a time when doctors will be able to inject a bit of verteporfin around a laceration or incision as they stitch it up, encouraging the wound to repair itself slowly, carefully, and completely. Thats scar prevention. But Longaker said the drug might be able to erase old scars too. It would require some minor surgery to cut the damaged tissue out and inject the verteporfin in. But for particularly disfiguring or painful scars that limit peoples mobility, the procedure might be an attractive option."
