The reason why we don't have any answers for acell is pretty simple. Most doctors are indifferent. I've been trying to find at least one caring soul in a doctor since I last posted I don't know how long ago now, and I can't get one (out of maybe 20 attempts) to agree to have a consultation with me without 100-200 dollars in their hand to begin with. This business (cosmetology) is such a rank joke to me. They aren't real doctors in these fields. There is no heart out there and to think that if only for a sum of money there may be a little mental closure, it kind proves this whole process to be just a little bit disingenuous.
If anyone wants to sponsor a poor college student to actually see a local (South Bay, California) doctor, message me. I know just what to say to these people; however, they could care less unless the green opens it's mouth first.
Won won bud, this is why these boards are important, in we can show the advancements are being made and hopefully we make the snowball.
It is annoying that we know about ECM, (and even denatured ECM just to add detail) and Dr's currently don't.
An outstanding treatment is here for us and Dr's are looking away through the fact it is not advertised (these same Dr's will probably snigger at how many patients come into their surgery asking for laser, various injections). They then look at you like they are informed experts...
Sometimes I just look at the arrogance of people with a few letters after their name...
i just contacted clinic estetica in tijuana.now they use fillers there but i think they might be interested in this because the clinic is open to new ideas and treatments.won won...the clinic is just over the border from san diego.they have a web site.personally..i dont see acell or anything like it to get 100% scarless healing but it might give improvements.its just ground up pigs bladder.we haven't found the cure for acne let alone the scarring.it isnt that easy...like the world has not found a cheep alternative clean fuel to drive vehicles yet.i think countries like china that dont have all the anti-religious dogma against the use of stem cells ect will pass the united states in the field of medicine very soon.our country is progressing backwards in everything except for the military after almost 8 years of president bush.

Thanks for talking with the clinic nikki. I feel acell to be our most viable method to treat acne scarring because of it's ability to regenerate more than just collagen and pigmentation, it is capable of complete regeneration in a normally functioning living body by attracting stem cells to a source of injury. Intentionally re-wounding the acne scarred skin and allowing the pure ECM to do it's job is a simple process that will work. I'm not being optimistic, just logical. Too many of you have been let down to the point where it doesn't matter what new medicine shows up, there is no hope for you. Well, that's too bad. This is your answer and you should be pouring your resources into this find. The answer is out there. Just like clean fuel has been for decades... nuclear energy anyone? What's the hold up there? Oh, and I think Bush has been pushing for that alternative for a little while. I'm no McCainiac, but get the facts straight. The left and right are equally responsible for the state of our country. Bush does not run the legislative branch. Give me a break. So sick of seeing his name on this forum when he has NOTHING to do with our problems here.
yes won won...but people on the right have no sympathy for our problem because they believe in survival of the fittest.actually one good thing that did come about as a result of the iraqi war was the affirm research and acell.i do think the bush administration has put the educational system in this country back light years.therefore research in the medical field is suffering.bush and company are still waiting for the end of the world to come and dont give squat about acne suffers.they would just tell you to...man up!personally i dont think we have a equal chance to compete because of the mental problems and low self esteem of many of us.
and by the way...the democrats dont hold a majority in the senate..it 49-49 with 2 independents and have a slight majority in the house.bush vetos any bill the democats come up with along with anything to do with stem cell research that could be benefit acne scar patients.
bulgarin derm...i have a question?why is it when you scrap you knee or something like that it almost all the time doesnt lead to scarring?is it because the would isnt deep enough?when you dermabrate the top layers of skin...the scarred skin just doesnt have the ability to regenerate into healthy skin?what do you think are the odds on ever finding something that will work?
bush has a lot to do with things. his budgets took billions away from funding medical research such as the human genome. and stem cells is even worse. he proposed legislation against it. yes, he's the "executive" branch, but he appointed the wrong people to the supreme court, proposed terrible legistlation to congress, and pumped way to many of our tax dollars into research projects and military industrial companies like lockheed and martin to build fantasy bombers.
perhaps on a "good" note. he's a warmonger. lots of boys and girls coming home with missing limbs! yay. DARPA got a very small grant to study limb/finger regeneration! go bush! this could never have been achieved by a pacifist like bill clinton. oh wait, didn't clinton have a lot to do with the human genome project? hmmm?
Shit, I better vote for Obama if I want my goddamn scars dealt with. Thanks for this truly eye opening intervention guys. Seriously, nothing is going to get accomplished if you sit around blaming people for your misery. You want something, get off of your ass and get it done. Nikkis a rare exception on these boards. I'm pretty sure no one has it as bad here. I know I don't, but there is still something to be said about trying treatments that will not deliver. Partial healing won't do in our cases here. We're looking for total regeneration, and we finally found something with that capability. I'm pretty disappointed at the pace we're going here, but I know that we're close. What good does it do to gripe about people blocking our paths? We must team up and take control ourselves. Happy fucking posting scar sufferers. Keep up the hope please.
well..won won...i have worked for 30+ years and never gotten a penny of tax payers money.regardless,im not to thrilled with either political party in the united states.people have to understand that acne is a serious problem.i only had 1 relationship in my life because of my low self esteem.im tired and frustrated of the whole thing.i think i might have diabetics because im getting close to 50 and still break out sometimes.won won..you might want to e-mail clinic estetica in tijuana.i went there twice and i live in pennsylvania.i emailed them and the secratary said they would ask the doctor about acell.the only way to find out if acell works is to use it in clinical trials.i think the clinic does help out some people who volunteers for clinic trials....they might do it for free.
Well, the Juvista is pushed for at least 2 more years.
It's disappointing.
TGF-b3 was demonstrated to reduce formation way back in 1992, but Juvista will not be released until 2012.
Furthermore, in 1971, it was discovered that fetal wounds heal without scars in utero. Now, 37 years later, there is still nothing on the market to reduce scarring.
To explain this. First, it is due to the complexity of wound healing. Second, there has been not enough funding for the problem of scarring. Third, embryonic stem cells research, our last hope of completely scarless healing, did not get Federal funding.
yes but there are huge mega countries like china, russia and india that have the resources to research stem cells.don't be surprised if something is discovered in china before the united states ever get close to finding something that works.now that we will probably have to bail out wall street with taxpayers money....it might be years before any federal funding for embryonic stem cells takes place in the usa.then couple that will people's religious dogma in this country.it doesnt look good for the future in the usa.
I am afraid China and India do not have enough money and talents to do this kind of research.
Remember the US accounts for 35% of the world's R&D research spending. It has the best researchers in the world and an open environment facilitating innovation. Its small-scale University is better than China's most famous University. Therefore, if stem cells research and regenerative medicine gets enough federal funding, marketable products will be seen quickly.
China, Korea, England, Japan, India and the Netherlands has been researching into embryonic stem cells for years, but up to this point, there is hardly any success of scarless healing verified by other countries. So don't expect too much from these countries, or you will be disappointed.
It can be a decade away until scarless healing is possible in these countries.
im not too optimistic we will ever find anything.it has been about 27 years since accutane first hit the market.i know i had a prescription the first day it came out.i still have a science digest from about 79 or 1980 with a article about clinic trials of accutane before the fda approved it.even when it was approved it was with little fanfare.it didnt work for me.bulgarin guy if you live in the united states i will send you all my old science digest for free.the are in excellent shape.just contact me off line.
well china should have money from all the money they get from the united states from the cheep junk they sell us.
as far as acell goes..1....how can my doctor get a prescription for it...2...where do i get surgical sand paper?...i will do my own testing om me in a very clean enviroment.....i just want to sand off a very small area of my back or face and apply the powder to the wound.im willing to take the risk...good or bad....if it might help other here on the forum.i would also do it with my docs supervision.
I despair. On this thread, recently, we have had at least three announcements of scar free healing being here, we have went over ECM, and yet we still have people coming on who are misinformed. The beginning of this thread needs a summary of our findings IMO.
I don't blame anyone for not looking at the whole thread.
New news article about Acell, more of the same really...

I am not pessimistic.
Remember our ultimate goal is completely scarless healing, not partial scar reduction. I will not spend money on anything that prevents scarring by less than 70%, for the reason that once you excise scar tissue, the resulting wound will become larger.
The $250 million on tissue regeneration project by the Department of Defense on wounded soldiers is far not enough. The funding for National Cancer Institute is $4.8 billion annually, but is criticized by many to be insufficient. How can a mere 5% of that amount achieve anything? Obviously, the Bush administration does not have the resolve and vision to invest in scientific research. In fact, he is one of the most anti-science president in US history.
But if the next president heavily invests in National Institute of Health, in regenerative medicine and in stem cells research, completely scarless healing will still be possible very soon.
Bottom line is 100% scar free healing is here:
http://books.google.com/books?id=PsF2IUL-S...3&ct=result
Then there is the use of fetal tissue to absorb into the host tissue in a similar way that thwe small intestine absorbed into an aorta:
"the children treated with the fetal skin were able to heal their wounds with skin that appeared more or less normal, with normal pigment and mobility. "It was supple, there was no scarring or retraction - it was really different than grafted skin,"
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/08/18/science/...amp;oref=slogin
Than you have this:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/s...icle3867838.ece
Than you have things like UBMECM which the regeneration should be at least over 95%, even better if it is not denatured.
Be misinformed and maybe waste time? or be informed....

Kirk, I believe you are informed. However, if the cure exists, the public needs a way to access it. Currently, we dont have any access to anything to help us. So it kind of defeats the purpose whether the cure does exists in the first place, what we need is accessibilty.

Tgan, I completely agree with you we need access. But how can you get access if you cant see it exists? Defeating the purpose again.
