Its completely different to Sunogel. Microcoring is a mechanical device that cores out unwanted skin. The tiny holes left behind where the skin was cored out then close up as the surrounding skin contracts inwards and remodels. Bio Mechanical remodeling is the term Cytrellis use. Skin heals without scar if the wound is very small like 0.5mm
Microcoring essentially removes skin without leaving scars so basically its like excision technique but on a very small scale and done so fractionally so healing is much faster. Excision is an existing technique used that can remove scar tissue but obviously it leaves another scar all be it less noticeable. The hope behind Microcoring is that people can remove scar tissue gradually and allow healthy surrounding skin to take over as this skin will stretch also. For too long treatments are so focused on trying to remodel scar tissue with Lasers and such. Microcoring can actually remove scar tissue then allow the skin to remodel without scar.
Microcoring wont be the perfect treatment but hopefully its a very positive step in the right direction and can make a big impact to people's lives.

if the atrophic scar is deep and large, does micro-coring help?

What is this simple hyaluronic injection? I have injected acne scars like this, but he did not get the scar.

We dont yet know all the Intricacies for examplewhat types of scars respond best. Most people have a mixture of Boxcar, Ice Pick and Rolling acne scars. Some scars are anchored down by scar tissue at a shallow depth and others much deeper. They said it removes full thickness tissue which is promising. We have to wait till trials finish to see what happens. Im sure there islots of tweaks and adjustments being made to their Novel device as they progress. They said the preliminary results were excellent for treating scars but the catch is it will likely take many treatments.

Where do you get so much information? I want to read too. I think micro coring will be on the market in November or December this year.

Well yes 2020 was looking like the go but Covid-19 may push it into next year. It could still feature later this year which isnt to far away anyway about 6 months. Im guessing 2021 in the first 6 months because the Virus situation in America is worse than anywhere in the world.

What if they put micro coring on the market? Is it that hard? What if micro coring is ready?

As you heard in that video with Brian Biesman said they are still learning about Microcoring and Cytrellis are continuing to develop it.
Its not quite ready in terms of going to market, hence these comments and the ongoing Trials. But its not far off

did he talk about the possibility of treating acne scars using micro coring in the video?

I want micro coring to hit the market faster.I find it hard to live with these scars

You can watch the video. Just click on it....its from previous page. He didn't mention Acne Scars. Remember Microcoring was never designed for treating scars intially. Its goal from the outset was skin tightening/wrinkles and then they later began investigating its use for acne scars.
Just keep your chin up and fingers crossed Microcoring, Sunogel, Gemstone, Tropoelastin etc can make a impact. The next couple years will be interesting
This surgeon didnt talk about using microcoring on scars, but the makers of microcoring have couple presentations and images where they state they aim to use microcoring for not only wrinklers but also scars, acne scars and stretch marks I posted even one image of the presentation one or two pages away.
Theres just one catch they state that for wrinklers one or two treatments bring excellet results butfor scarring multiple treatments are needed which is understandable couse during one treatment they can safely remove only 5-8% of the skin

i want any tool to come faster and be useful.why do you mean 2 years?

I also agree to a long treatment. I just want to get rid of the scars on my face. Every morning when I wake up I want to see a beautiful face, not scars, looking in the mirror.
I have a large but unobtrusive burn scar (mostly flat but very shiny) that runs along the bottom of my jaw. That would take quite some time for micro coring to remove (if it can). But I think removing 5-8% of the skin every3 months would make a drastic difference. In theory if this machine works like we hope after 1 yearon a scar like mine ie. a solid block of damaged skin, you couldpotentially have 4 treatments and 20-32% of the scar removed. 2 years and 8 treatments for 40-64%, 3 years and 12 treatments for60-96%, 4 years and 16 treatments for 80% +
However, with a more scattered pattern of scarring you might need a lot more treatments than 4 to even reach 20-32% scar reduction as you won't be guaranteed to be just hitting the scars with every micro core taken out. There is a picture on the link below of how small the cores taken are.
I see that the other micro coring system by Recros Medica has a much smaller area of coverage from the hand piece butwith larger cores. Theoretically much more useful if you have small scattered scars but...1.5mm seems far too big a chunk of skin to me to remove safely.
I'll wait patiently till Cytrellis release the trial results on scars before I get too excited. What I would be most interested in seeing is how the device fares at removing tattoos (mentioned in the patent somewhere). I think that would give the best visual indication of how much skin is actually being removed and how quickly it can do it.
The potential price of this though is concerning as understandably they need to use consumables with the device and that cost of course is passed on to the customer. Could be a very expensive...especially if you're getting 12+ treatments for any marked change.

I read the previous pages and there you wrote that it does not remove the elastogenic scar.Is that right? sunogelchi? micro coringchi? they also do not remove the scar 100%?

I saw it in one forum.Don't worry about the appearance of a means to remove acne scars by 2025

That was my concern with Cytrellisthat I raised with themregarding the accuracy. I mentioned to them that they need a single core handpiece for better targeting of scattered scars like acne scars. I said Recros Medica have a single core piece but its too big for face at 1.5mm. Seriously its super frustrating. They responded by saying they cant go into too much detail as they are still in development. *sigh*...you could literally mark with a marker on your face the individual little acne scars/scar tissue spots and they could trace along those areas marked as if they were removing tattoo and each time you went back for treatments you would have less areas marked up for them to remove. It would result in faster results, less downtime and be more cost effective.
Anyway hope they listened to me.
