skinTE is for burns and large wounds dont expect to use it for acne scars polarityte will come with a DERIVIATIVE product for cosmetics so will take time even if skinte works well for burn i dont think 2020 will be they year we cure our problems the key is that polarityte has find a way to regenerate the skin this however doesnt mean that you willl have completely scar free healing so the skinte grafting is not too good in my opinion for acne scars because you may regenerate some skin but you make create scars also as they said derivatives will be a better approach for this type of things lets wait to see

I don't believe in any of them, especially to treat HUNDREDS of deep scars in the back
And it takes on average 15 years for a new drug to complete all clinical trials....so even if a new substance is discovered today we won't be able to get treated by it before 2030

Well, don't know if having hundreds of scars on the back can be considered a cosmetic problem...
They must allow to use Skinte to treat acne scars or we're fucked...I mean I'd understand if they don't want to risk it on the face...but on the body there shouldn't be any problem

yes but you have small acne scars ine the back to risky to cut all your skin on your back and put skinte on it I have also stretch marks in my 30% body to risky to cut 30% of my skin and put 3 kits of skinte in my body a not aggressive treatment is better like injection of a regenerative paste(skinte) and injury of the erea something like that

the same thing with hair market they create a deriviative which regenerate hair follicle lol if you cut all your scalp to regenerate hairs
Some posters here talk about suicide and I believe they need serious help. Don't let your scars ruin your life. Everybody has scars. Unfortunately, many of us have ugly ones.
SkinTE looks to good to be true. Those pics are not scarless but it is a better alternative to skin grafts. Scarless healing is far away. Big pharma still doesn't have a cure for many diseases, how can we expect scarless healing so soon? As someone stated, a new drug can take 5 to 15 years to get approved.
We just need to learn to make the best of it.
I can't imagine what someone who lost a leg or an arm would say to someone with scars contemplating suicide.
There are worse things out there than acne scars but acne scarring sucks. Also, all people have stretchmarks. I rather have those which are quite common than acne and it's leftovers.
People are treating this into the oppression olympics. Stretch marks are cool but not if they look like this: http://www.asiaone.com/malaysia/young-mum-posts-shocking-photo-sagging-belly-full-stretch-marks-gains-support-netizens and cover 70 -80% of your body.
Plus so what if some people talk about suicide - it's an open forum. Some people have nowhere else to rant/no one else to talk to.
Anyways, here's what I found (may have been mentioned a few pages back):
https://www.sciencealert.com/scientists-figure-out-how-to-make-wounds-heal-without-scars
https://tonic.vice.com/en_us/article/nznazz/doctors-may-have-figured-out-a-way-to-heal-scar-tissue
With BMP, scar remodeling would be less invasive. I'm going to try and hunt down the contact for DrPlikus and try to get answers (i.e. when trials will start, possible product roll out).Wish me luck.
To add: Those with acne scarring who say it isn't common. It is more common than you can imagine. I know people who have severe cystic acne and scars who go on to be musicians, actors, work in media and have beautiful partners and friends; and gone on to lead such wonderful lives.
Honestly, there is a medley of treatments to help that will make your skin better. It's not perfection but it can help improve your self-esteem drastically. As for those with mild scarring, I've seen amazing results with subcision and fillers. Your lives can be better - if you get treated with this and also possibly therapy.
I see people here complain about minimal stretch marks and scarring, and honestly, if you're a good-looking man - women won't be bothered by it. They're also common with those who lift. Just do subcision and get tattooed to make them better. I have SEVERE ones (I have other scars as well from self harm) that puff up and bleed or puff up and turn into hives - a miserable condition similar to PUPPS on a large amount of my body. My doctor once laughed and told me that my "real estate" value has dropped. So for me, scarless healing will be the only cure. One that I will spend a long time waiting for.
Anyways, let's not derail this thread any longer! Just keep posting news of anything related to scarless healing and we'll keep that hope alive and burningfor those who will never heal.
Sorry for the rant.

I agree, lets get this thread back on topic. But ageless, please dont post about pouring acid on yourself because thats not only a sign that you need help, it also completely derails the board.
There are several other boards on this site and other sites for discussing depression caused by scarring.
SkinTE has shown good results thus far for severe wounds and burns. Derivatives will or be far behind if those results hold and improve. I cant stress enough how astounding it is that appendages are forming in the wounds theyve shown. Having hair follicles is essential to complete regeneration and SkinTE is creating them.
Sunogel is another great potential product. Dr. Sun wants to go through trials, but since its a device it wont take until 2030 for it to come through if he can get funding.
This is also hopeful.Bioprinting skin for cosmetic testing - but I believe the skin will be full thickness and have minimal scarring and can be used for scar remodeling.

There's a lot of research going on right now to find a way to eliminate scarring. The timing is great because body culture is at it's peak. Everyone wants to have flawless skin and nicely shaped figures. But we are still in the beginning stages of all this research. The research has been going on since the early 90s. Nothing concrete has come of it as of yet.
I would also like to point out that scarring is not a disease but rather a cosmetic problem. Big pharma is more focused into finding cures to diseases not fixing common cosmetic flaws like scarring or baldness.

so what you want everybody here to do??? all your post is about that we will not have scarless healing please just go away we don't care about your opinion we care about scientific progress I am tiried to listen always the same thing
I'm sorry but I think you're wrong. This is something they'd be interested in because there are billions to be made. Don't take hope away from people, it is dangerous. Have hope!
Adult humans already have the potential to heal without scars - in our oral mucosa. Link: http://orca.cf.ac.uk/15843/ . The mechanism is there, it just has to be unlocked.
Additionally, there are many foundations set up with the aim to heal scars. An example is this: https://hrhcountessofwessex.blogspot.com/2014/01/the-scar-free-foundation-formerly.html
Or perhaps combining current treatments with new ones such as Elastagen: http://biotech-365.com/elastagen-to-feature-breakthrough-tissue-repair-and-aesthetic-platform-at-upcoming-dermatology-summit-and-biotech-showcase-conferences-in-san-francisco-ca/ with subcision.
Also this sounds interesting as well: http://scienceinpoland.pap.pl/en/news/news%2C409509%2Cis-scarless-wound-healing-possible-in-humans-scientists-from-olsztyn-are-working-on-a-solution.html

Then don't comment on my posts and just ignore me. How about you go out a little and enjoy life instead of complaining about your scars, that might change your life dramatically.

I never took hope away from anyone. I have read about all these new scar reducing methods and foundations on this forum for a long time. Months, years pass. Nothing has ever come to fruition. SkinTE seems to be the only candidate with some potential. People contemplating suicide have serious mental health issues that need to be resolved.
Not every cut or wound heals in scar formation. Most minor cuts do not scar. The moment you cut deep in the dermis, it will result in a scar. Same goes inside the mouth.
We need to accept our bodies and our scars. When someone finds something to eliminate scarring than we comment on here about this great discovery. For now, we should try to make the best of our situation. We are not getting any younger. Let's be happy and look at our scars as battles we won. Let's be patient and make our lives better.

I agree that most, if not all, of the posters on this thread could use a healthier relationship with their bodies.
However, just like with people posting about depression on here, posting about acceptance isnt the aim of this thread. There are plenty of threads for positive body image so I do not understand the need to use this one for that.
Sunogel is considering crowd funding and SkineTE has grown skin and appendages in deep tissue wounds. These are things happening right now and that, along with any other applicable research related to scarless healing, should be what gets posted on this thread.

who said I don't enjoy life fixing my scars is nothing to do with enjoying life it has to do with something else and I don't hurry up I can wait 5-6 years its ok this thread is for scarless healing we don't care about your opinions for life we care if you come here and post something about scarless healing that's it
I actually re-listened to the presentation SkinTE did last week and I actually changed my mind a little bit. It looks promising, they said 2019 for complete commercial rollout and I hope it's true.
I don't care about scarless healing, an 80% improvement would be considered a totale cure (miracle) for me, compared to the actual 10% improvement current treatments offer (FOR BACK, NOT FACE).
SkinTE really is our only hope to cure our problem without waiting years.
As for the "white flat spots" I have no idea if it's acne, scars or some allergic reaction.
The explanations I read online (follicular macular atrophy ecc) don't seem convincing to me and dermatologists couldn't exactly tell me what they are and consequently couldn't tell me how to get rid of them.
They keep appearing on my upper arms and shoulders (and a bit on the chest) and if they don't go away immediately they stay there forever.
Ironically they started to appear when acne (the common type of acne) stopped to torment me. I wonder if it's just another "version" of acne.....acne that appear after a certain age, It seems that teenagers don't get these white flat spots but they appear on individuals that suffered from acne for years and are a bit older now (early/mid 20's and up).
They seem to appear much more with hot weather and they don't appear that much with cold weather (but the ones already there keep staying there even with cold weather).
They are very ugly and the only thing to camouflage them is to tattoo over them since they all are on the upper arms/shoulders....a well placed tattoo would make them invisible

I have thousands of these too. They appear once acne heals. They go by many names like follicular macular atrophy, perifollicular elastolysis, papular acne scars or mid dermal elastolysis. They look awful because they are closely grouped together. That's why I came on here to find a way to rid myself of these. It seems that the elastic fibers in the skin get damaged leaving behind these lesions. They are related to another skin condition known as anetoderma. Anetoderma happens spontaneously in some individuals. You might have a form of anetoderma together with cystic acne.
Getting a tattoo will not help because once you reach your forties your skin will start to sag and the white spots will become more prominent. They will become even more prominent with a tattoo. It's hard to get a tattoo on scar tissue nonetheless.
Teenagers don't have these scars because they probably have a few pimples on their back that heal fast with no permanent damage. However some individuals seem to be breaking out on their back, shoulders and upper arms for years. This is cystic acne or even the more severe acne conglobata which leave behind these scars as a permanent reminder. The damage to the skin is deep. Not much can be done for them now unless SkinTE finds a derivative to inject them with and make the skin regenerate.
I googled images of follicular malcular lesions and i think i have one from a bad pimple but my white dots are very small and flat so maybe they will heal in time.
My surgical scar i think i will just tattoo at some point. Im gonna give it 3 years and if no hope of scar treatment i cant be bothered for it to effect my life any longer.
Personally I believe SkinTE works, if not scarless healing at least to get a very good improvement (like 70/80% on body scars).
The problem is to find a willing surgeon to perform it on ACNE SCARRING and not just BURNS.
I hope in some emphatetic and kind surgeon who understand our plight and won't scorn us just because we seek a treatment that is mainly intended for burns.
The leftovers can easily be covered by a tattoo or further improved by current treatment
