I'm not going to read all the pages of info I've missed. Can someone tell me if there are any note-worthy updates? Anything with SkinTE or Sunogel? Anything with human trials?

The Canadian Birch Biomed people have gotten approval for phase 2 trials for FS2 which they're starting this year, if I've understood correctly. They're going to see if it can prevent scar formation after grafts. It's actually rather interesting!

Please read through this topic before making any statements. The same questions are being asked over and over and over. Its annoying when "new" people come here and think they know everything regarding SkinTe wothout even reading about the basic stuff.

What basic stuff? three photos of pigs skin on their site, facilities, similar results in human, conversations with Swanson and thats all. Just words. There is no basic stuff. We do not even know what their paste is. We dont even see papers about swine tests. Result is what matter. Result is basic stuff.

Are you kidding me? What you are talking about is called MARGIN, and is written about A LOT here on this topic. It takes you about 10 minutes to get enough information about that. Dont come here and pretend to know more than people here who has followed Polarity for more than a year and contribute to this topic in a positive way. Be respectful to people and their knowledge.

No, it's something they are currently working on. It's not something that failed or has been proven not to work.

You know why this is so depressing? Cause today I looked at my scars and the general state of my skin and actually thought to myself, well I could just commit suicide and that would be that. Fat fibrous hypertophic scars on my nose, rolling scars on my cheeks, icepick scars, a line of scars on one cheek that looks like a big gash as if someone knifed me but its from acne. and more icpick scars on my temples. there's volume lose, skin texture is fucked on broad areas and that's what i'm dealing with.

And then I thought, maybe i'll come to site and there will be some good news and all i read is more BS about stock prices being manpiulated and how this stuff is in a "trial" period and just more and more speculation that its all not for acne but burns and then more speculation that you'll need a full skin thickness excission.

ARE YOU PEOPLE CRAZY!!!!?????? YEAH I GUESS SO AND SO AM I FOR EVEN ENTERTAINING ALL THIS BS BS BS BS BS BS

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? EXCISE MY WHOLE FACE LIKE FACE OFF AND THEN HAVE A PASTE APPLIED TO MY SKINLESS ANATOMICALLY EXPOSED FACE SO I"M LIKE A ZOMBIE IN A HORROR MOVIE. GIVE ME A BREAK. THAT"S NOT HOW IT WORKS AND NO ONE IS GOING TO DO THIS.

YOU GUYS ARE LEGIT ALL INSANE EVEN ENTERTAINING THIS BS. I'm OUT.

Chill man. I am in the same boat. I have suffered for 11 years. I was a bright young guy with a girlfriend, looking forward to excelling in school and feeling the top of the world, when suddenly cystic acne came and turned my whole life upside down. When it was over, I thought I was free yet had these hideous looking severe acne scars on my cheeks. Girlfriend broke up with me, I became disinterested in studying, I try to be happy now but no matter how I tell myself that I was never truly happy these 11 years. I have to fight with self esteem issues and inner demons within me, even though I never had these problems pre acne scarring. I felt like I was thrown into life imprisonment for a crime I did not commit. I am imprisoned in my own mind. If I were to rate my whole life I would put it a 2/10. 2 because at least I don't come from a broken family and are above average in terms of wealth and material stuff. But given the choice to be from a poor family without acne scars I will take the latter every f-king single time.

I am still positive (Or try to), I believe SkinTE is the solution. We are almost reaching our goal, do not give up now. This is the holy grail in skin regeneration. We just need to be patient, wait for results to be out. Surgeons will start adopting this technology. Read a book, go on a vacation, focus on your spirituality, do not keep hampering on your scars. Keep the faith, the signs are positive, I guarantee we will get out scars removed soon.

Hey there,

I have been lurking the forums on this site looking for alternatives to help me with my skin imperfections and breakouts I have been dealing with for the past 25 years. Over time, my skin conditions have improved but my skin took a beating. I have multiple skin imperfections: pitts and raised white scars.

Some of you that I have quoted suffer from other psychological issues that go beyond your acne scars. Even if someday, they find a way to regenerate damaged skin, I don't believe Rez will be happy. Some of you need to surpass this and make the best out of what you were given. There are lasers or other scar revision methods that will get you some improvement. Also, time will lessen the appearance of those scars.

I have probably worse scars dealing with psoriasis, deep folliculitis, cystic acne, eczema, acne conglobata and hidradenitis suppuritiva over the years. I have what dermatologists refer to as the tetrad or pentad. It seems I got a bunch of recessive genes that made me luck out in the skin department.

I would say I am succesful in life with facial pits and small raised white scarring all over my shoulders, back, thighs, upper arms, buttocks and jawline. You can refer to these as popular acne scars, follicular elastolysis or follicular macular atrophy. I believe it also goes by other names too.

Anyways, I read about SkinTE and Sunogel. I don't have much faith in SkinTE but people need to wait for those trials to be over before we draw conclusions. I believe scientists are working hard to prevent scarring but SkinTE just looks to good to be true. However, it's a start.

Swanson is the COO, the guy right below the CEO. He verified and stated things in both interviews beforethey were ever stated publicly such as them working on derivative products right now.

We do know what their paste is. Weve known for the longest time that it is their actual skin that underwent a process called polarization and was expanded. Theres even additional details on that from the interviews. Theyre not going to dish out some recipe list though. Thats why there are patents to prevent people from stealing their product for a time.

There are way more than 3 photos in their investor presentation.. along with the processes, healing time frame, pipeline and so on. Pigs also have very robust skin and its very similar if not more complex than human skin.

I think Frasier mightve been referring to the basics of just reading through their site information and maybe just some basic understanding of skin anatomy in general. Sadly, there are new people that do come in here and just make claims like another Recell when they have huge differences.

18 hours ago, ScarRight said:

People do have a life outside this thread. People aren't going to read several months of post just to read what has happened. Candy Says has summed it up beautifully.

No need to read several months of post. Their site and investor presentation updates on the most recent information. They also have a media and press release section where they can read about their most recent mentions and progress in media and articles.

I have a life outside the thread too, but I was just interested enough to research abstracts, articles, studies, collaborations, anatomy etc... in some of my free time. His question can definitely be answered though with one simple straight forward and non-aggressive sentence:

Their site updates with the most recent information and progress as well as their most recent mentions in media and articles.

I dont think anyone should just come to get spoon fed (not talking about the person that requested the updates but in general) because they need to do some reading of their own to fully understand how something works, why it works the way it does and under what circumstances; otherwise, you will just get people saying Recell which sounds silly to those who know all about Recell and can easily state the differences. Thats also why you get the same people who ask the same questions because they are in a constant state of denial or they lack the knowledge to comprehend the answers that were given to them or both. They will ask the same question over and over until every person on earth gives them the answer they want to hear when all they had to do was read some verified and proven information that already exists. Even then some still live in denial and its understandable, but that is something they themselves will have to realize and address first before re-joining the pack.

I realized that my entire post was also completely unproductive to the threads purpose *facepalm* oh well I guess. First results might just be out at the beginning of next month though so at this point everyone should just hope the new skin is indistinguishable from the native skin.

You say you dont have much faith in SkinTe because it sounds to good to be true. That line of thinking doesn't reallly wash with me anymore. I used to think like this also. We only think like this because of how we feel about our skin and how frustrating current treatments are. Go up to a random person in the street with good skin and tell them there is a new technology that can regenerate normal appearing full thickness skin and they would probably say geez thats impressive and then proceed to carry on with there day not thinking about it. Then say the same to a person like Rez77 with bad skin and low self esteem and they will probably want to break down in tears of relief because his scars and suffering are his life everyday.

We have found ways to alter and manipulate the human body how it appears and feels. From hair dye to liposuction to Viagra to the Cochlea implant. A guy can take estrogen pills and grow a pair of tits and likewise a women can take testosterone and grow a beard better then most men. Ive personally achieved 75% lmprovement from current treatments but its the time it takes for skin to reorganize itself from many treatments over many years and finding which treatment works best to be the most frustrating. I had the money and downtime luckily to reach that 75%. The last 25% is the major hurdle and only true regeneration can overcome that. So is the difference between 75% and 100% unbelievable, a miracle or as you say to good to be true? I dont think so personally but my skin is nothing compared to a burns victim and there suffering and how far they would feel from ever seeing there old skin back. But we are talking about true regeneration more and more and who will win the race to finding the right recipe for true regeneration and hopefully there is hope for all regardless of how bad their scarring is.

As for Rez77 he has repeatedly said he is "OUT" or "IM DONE" and never coming back here because he thinks SkinTe is a joke and we are insane for tracking its progress and yet he always returns....why?? Because he has as much hope as anyone and he has already revealed this a couple months ago in a post. As upset and angry as he is about his skin its the anticipation, waiting, hope and anxiety about SkinTe that eats away at him eveyday and we see this with his emotional outbursts. I know who's really going Insane.....

Yes and that's why I say that some people need psychological help that goes beyond their scars. They need to accept their situation and stop coming here posting nonsense with emotional outbursts of rage.

I am happy you acheived 75% of improvement. Unfortunately, our bodies scar every time an organ is damaged. Rare are those who have perfect skin. Everybody has scars. Not only humans scar, all mammals and birds do. The more complex the organism is, the more it scars. Everybody suffers from some type of skin disorder. Other people have it way worse with missing limbs and make the best out of it. They are happy, succesful people. They would spend a fortune to get their missing limbs to grow but deep down, they accept reality.

Science still has a long way to go before ever finding a way to prevent scarring. They are slowly and surely getting there but I am still skeptical about SkinTE. SkinTE may be a start to something amazing but even if not full regeneration, I believe it would be a step closer for someone else to achieve full regeneration. I believe I would be too old by then. So, I make the best out of the situation I was given right now. Life is short and we shouldn't focus on things we can't fix at this time.

Science stll doesn't understand how skin functions. I mean, they just recently found out why skin doesn't leak. They are more advanced in some aspects than others. To tell you the truth, they never really cared about scarring. They still considers it a normal process of the healing stage. Yes, they know how to use hormones to influence the body to react in different ways but they don't know the full consequences of using all those hormones. They also can't pinpoint the exact mechanisms to why acne or hidradenitis happens in the first place. To tell you the truth, they might be closer to achieving a complete gender change by playing with chromosomes than dealing with scarring. There is also a huge community out there of people who don't feel comfortable in their assigned gender and try to make a celebration out of it but let's stay on topic here. In reality, burn victims and severily scarred people should push to eliminate scarring but those who do are not really talked about. It's individuals like these that need to be celebrated.

They still don't understand what signals are triggered by the body involved in wound healing. The people behind SkinTE seem to have found a way to manipulate those signals but that still remains to be seen until human trials are done. Right now nobody can say anything. We just need to be patient.

By the way, I still get breakouts on my back and have gone to surgery to remove patches of diseased skin from my inner thighs due to hidradenitis. I have skin grafts and it looks like I have been burned. My back also looks burned in places due to acne conglobata. There are also white raised scars all over my back. My face has pitted cheek scars and white raised scars along my jawline. My neck, my nose and forehead are covered in pitts as well, large enough that a quarter can fit in. I don't believe Rez has suffered as much as I but I still have to go on with my day. All my skin troubles began at 6 years old following a bad case of chicken pox. The lesions got infected by staph aureus which took months to clear. I was severily scarred. Try also leaving with eczema and psoriasis. A lovely itch that is constant with burning sensation.

The lovely staph returned and infected the acne lesions for years until some dermatologist figured out that my body has a weakness to staph and other bacterial infections. Well, that lead to bacterial colonies and diseased skin for years. My back acne wounds would fuse on to my shirts as they healed. The bacterial infections then would infect my joints. Constant ear infections from staph have destroyed part of my hearing.

I am only starting to get relief from all that pain as my conditions are improving now in my late thirties. To me, I could of just ended all my suffering with pulling the trigger but not dealing with the intense pain is the greatest relief I have felt in years.

That FS2 drug breaks down existing scar tissue. So if it works you wouldn't even have to have a scar cut out. Just slap FS2 on there and watch your scars disappear. lol

Haven't heard of this company before:

Quote

Today,RenovoDerm, a wound care device company, announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared its proprietary product, the Phoenix Wound MatrixTM, which is a wound care device that accelerates the bodys healing response, facilitates tissue growth and regeneration, reduces scar formation and enhances overall cosmesis.

The Phoenix Wound MatrixTMis a fully resorbable synthetic graft that closely mimics the extracellular matrix (ECM) found naturally in the body. This product will be used for the treatment of acute, chronic, and burn wounds, which continues to be a concern for both doctors and patients.

With FDA clearance of our first product, we are thrilled to begin making an impact on wound healing outcomes, said Ross Kayuha, CEO of RenovoDerm.

The Phoenix Wound MatrixTMhas undergone significant testing and generated exciting results. Through Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) animal wound care studies and cases in the veterinary market, the product has demonstrated the ability to stimulate full regeneration of dermal tissue, including sweat glands and hair follicles, which are vital to healthy skin anatomy and physiology.

One question I have. Does all pimple scarring occur in the dermis? What if the hypodermis was damage? I have a lot of ice pick scarring and I know these goes deep. Also, I had really bad cystic acne, so i'm not sure if my hypodermis was damaged, hopefully not?

From what I read SkinTE was able to regenerate full dermal and epidermis layer but no mention of hypodermis.

Let's introduce ourselves. Not identities I know, but I'd like to know the education level and scientific background of some of the people I'm conversing with on this site/thread.

Like are any of you med students, study biomedicine, work in labs or cosmetic, aesthetic fields. I just want to have an overall sense of who is evaluating this shit and that I'm not just talking to some high school kids from like Borneo who have an internet connection and no idea how to scientifically assess or reason about anything.

As for me, lots of critical thinking skills since I have a graduate degree but its in philosophy and philosophy of science, but no direct biological training. This is why I'd like to know if anyone here has a degree is BIOLOGY, or BIOMEDICINE or related fields. Thanks.

That would be pushing it, even if it is a roaring success. They would need to implement a cosmetic application, assuming they are not going to do deep excisions for acne scars.
