what for old scars?? Can treat with this treatment? ?

check the third picture, where it says native skin / Margin / skinTe - at margin it indicates a scar between the new and old skin
To me this looks very promising. Their website looks so professional with the time-line, photos, information etc (in contrast to Gemstone). To be honest I havent been thinking much about the hydrogel or Gemstone since I started to follow PolarityTE earlier this winter. This is great news!

It's hard to tell what exactly the margin is, It could be something so microscopic that the human eye can't tell. Whatever the margin is, SkinTE is still leagues above any current treatment or any foreseeable treatment for the near future, if successful in humans.
There has been more progress in 2017 in scar therapy (PolarityTE, Penn medicine discovery) than a half century lol so It's already good news + burn victims will no more be disfigured which would be such a great advance for plastic surgery. With the results of their preclinical studies, they also mentioned this ;
"SkinTE not only regenerated full thickness skin, organized skin with wound beds but will also propagates into old scar tissues and regenerates full-thickness"
the fact that their pre clinical studies on pig skin were a success is really promising for human trials

Rez 77......there are things you can do to make the appearance better. I think it is Frazier that cannot accept that scarless healing might not be found in our lifetimes or ever. We just don't know. It could be tomorrow. It could be never. As far as Acne products...the only 2 new things in years has been accutane which is almost 40 years since the FDA approved it......i think it was around 82. I don't know how long Spiro has been around. Nothing great has ever been developed yet for acne scarring. The bad thing about it is if someone finds scarless healing.....nobody will be able to afford it! lol!

It's not because you don't see therapies/products on the market that theres nothing going on in the lab lol (Do your readings on Pubmed) ; Like I said earlier, scarring is an extremely competitive research field because there's a lot of money to so with an effective therapy ; It's not like a extremely rare disease.
+ No company would develop a product/therapy to touch a large market while no one could affort it ; It's contradictive and even if I'm in Med1, I can affirm this without a doubt.
Your feelings may affect your faith in science and medicine after all, but you're not the first one on this thread. The first interest of this thread is to keep it objective so ..
It definitely is a good question what exactly that margin is. It doesn't make much sense because as you can see via pictures, PolarityTE is a matrix seeded with stem cells that acts very similar to a hydrogel. It is not grafted skin as you can also see by the pictures, that is what Epicell is.

I understand what you are saying, but you are generalizing all of these treatments. Yes, Renova and the skin gun is not ideal for acne/surgical scars. Yes, Gemstone has been stringing people along for years with very little to show for it and might just be a scam for funding. However, in Polarity's case it has been around for only a few years and is showing consistent promising results. They have completely regenerated skin in a porcine model with proof! This is something that Gemstone may or may not have done. Within a few months WE WILL KNOW if Polarity works on human skin or not, unlike the trial Gemstone has promised for years now and which may never come! Polarity will probably be clinically used before Gemstone conducts a human trial. To be concentrated on something like Gemstone or Sunogel is so idiotic, these are minor league teams and Polarity is like the New York Yankees!

okay fine, i'll keep hope for whatever it is a few more months if there are at least definitive results from an experiment pro or negative. at least i'll know someone is doing something. and if this polarity thing is also a scam i'm leaving this thread for exactly 3 years and checking back then

All of these other nonsense posts just hinder important information from being seen and awareness from being spread. We know sunogel has worked on mice and pigs, we know microcoring proves scar-free healing, as well. Polarity and Gemstone are still other possibilities too. WE HAVE A LOT OF SCAR PROGRESS GOING ON. I would imagine it would all of these companies work quickly so they're the first ones to prove scar free healing in humans. It would make BILLIONS of dollars

I think a lot of people need to get over Dr. Sun and Sunogel, all he has showed in the past two years is a small cut on a finger that would have healed scar free naturally without anything. PolarityTE is the ONLY company to achieve and prove scarless healing with hair growth and appendages in a porcine model. You are comparing one University Research Doctor (although i'm sure he is brilliant) to a publicly traded company with an entire team of professionals from Johns Hopkins. Who do you think will get there first?
