This method has actually been used in humans and brought scarfree regeneration in second-degree scalding injuries and non healing skin ulcers, according to the patent. Right now, this is beeing tested in clinical trials in Germany.
Any pic? like before and after, that cain of pics
Maldition you've got to be seeing all of the publications being posted that are claiming 'scar free healing' and 'complete skin regeneration' - Throughout your years of following this I know you haven't heard those terms used frequently referring to real achieved results. These scientists are achieving scar free healing NOW. Methods and results are clearly getting much better than they've been in the past - and they're only going to get even better. I know after so long it can be easy to lose hope - But the time may actually be getting close! You can't deny these 'scar free' results!
I'm here for many years as some users here (many no longer fall), as you can see my post on my record and eventually I did extensive research on regeneration of scars I did mainly on growth factors TGF b1, b2, b3, decorin, topiramate, kitoscell, experimental drugs in use, patents, etc, everything is in my history (not sure if still available to see in fact).
seabs you believe that one day we go through here and say that any product could reduce scarring by 50%? (that's already a victory by the way).
by the way, my opinion of distrust about hydrogel is simply because no one can explain how it works, it's just a gel, it gives me confidence, it's just sugar water, say stem cell signaling, I think something very simple that regenerate skin ...
with Renovo knew that TGF b3 helped against fibrosis (but ultimately did not help at all), the hydrogel does not explain how it works, I really mistrust.

The paper explains how it works. It get eaten rapidly by the whiteblood cells, and this creates new tissue with 'complete regeneration', and appendages. It just degrades and creates tissue. Not only does it explain how it works it proves it works against a control which couldn't degrade as fast which then ended up getting incomplete regeneration. This is not theory.
Maldition,
Los mismos doctores no saben porque trabaja el hydrogel. Pero claro, llenar algo con un gel.. y creer que eso pudra resolver todo... Parace como un milagro. Vamos a ver que salra de esto.
Can you imagine? will change the lives of many, from unhappiness to happiness, 100% radical change, something many by disappointment is hard to imagine today, as you said, this solution to the present day is a miracle.
A miracle is impossible but it is something that always gives us the illusion that it may be possible ...
The scars have destroyed lives and I mean not necessarily large scars, but small or medium scars can be located at strategic points visible which destroy people's self-esteem gradually, millions of people worldwide are falling into depression, or various pathologies and why then end up having other diseases.
In this sick world where what is sold over the image outside, be beautiful on the outside, magazines, photos where everyone goes out on the beach naked with perfect skin, all people get their muscle bodies ... always sells skin and perfect bodies, perfect skin is sold.
hydrogel is the solution? God wills it so! I so desire, just that we (veteran users) have had so many disappointments and, when you see other hope just because you do not trust or do not believe in it. But someone like me who believes in science and always looking for a scientific explanation of how things work.
Recommend a good movie called Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise, this is the topic of scars that disfigure a person I had seen many years ago, clearly shows frustration unable to do anything about a problem that has no solution even taking resources as in the case of the actor.

That explanation is not logical to me, I see only marketing to raise money.
hydrogel hopefully be the solution and most importantly it will be soon, but when I read the action method I am disappointed, I generated more confidence the mechanism of action of Renovo.

I know that film, the story was set in the year 2001, Tom Cruise could wait for another 11 years and here is what is possible today, in 2012, just 11 years later:
Results are pretty good (though still not perfect, ideal) do you agree? And it is expected that the results in the future will be even better.
Hello genuine. Welcome to the forum. I appreciate your kind words.
Still no word from Dr. Harmon since the last time I spoke to him in early November. He's a busy man so I don't like to bombard him with emails (I want to stay on his good side) but rest assured, I will speak with him eventually. He seems to be a kind and genuine person and he doesn't mind giving us insight into the project - as was Dr. Sun before his departure. Furthermore, I don't think they can do any type of trials with the new self-adhering, antibiotic version until they've received funding, which again, as of a month ago they have not. So no word on that either I'm afraid.
I will say, when I've spoken to Dr. Harmon and Dr. Sun, they've both referred to their hope to get funding 'next year'. I don't know if the grant they've applied for is something that is rewarded in (hopefully the beginning of) 2013 or what but they've both mentioned this (and I haven't spoken with Dr. Sun since like July or something). Pertaining to Sun being the most experienced and leaving JHU - When I last spoke to him, he also said that Gerecht hopes to bring him back on the team if and when funding is gathered. His Johns Hopkins email has since been deactivated, solidifying his departure.
I agree though, he needs to be on the team.
I like your idea though. I already consider us to be this type of group and in fact, that's what I refer to us as whenever I contact any of the researchers or other professional places in my hunt for answers and progression. It would be a good move to officialize it though. Maybe we should make an official website/forum or something - with an organization name that we can refer to ourselves as. At this point, I think the people at JHU that I've spoken with do consider us to be a pretty official scar support group, because that's how I've presented us. But in the future (if we work with them on garnering funds for example) it would help for us to be more official and not just some people who talk on the acne.org forums. Ideas/thoughts everyone?
Oh - and on another note, I came across this today -
http://ijl.sagepub.c.../4/264.abstract
Published in late October this year. Seems they have regenerated skin and appendages in a full thickness wound as well.
This is great! Thanks chuckstonchew.
with Renovo knew that TGF b3 helped against fibrosis (but ultimately did not help at all), the hydrogel does not explain how it works, I really mistrust.
Nobody knows how Viagra or Accutane work, but these drugs work, 8020 hydrogel is the same story, most of the drugs in the past have been discovered by accidents, again 8020 hydrogel is the same story, it is called 'hit or miss medicine' or 'drug discovery', there are two possible approaches in drug development: 1. drug discovery 2. drug design.
Results are pretty good (though still not perfect, ideal) do you agree? And it is expected that the results in the future will be even better.
Are very good results, certainly in that picture much makeup.

Hopefully that works.

just to be clear, that's a face transplant. taking a donor's face and putting it on someone else. it's a completely different beast from scar treatment.
Of course, but we're talking about the movie 'Vanilla Sky' and about hopelessness in general, not about scar treatments.
BTW this is interesting:
I can't believe that this son of a bitch was ready to inject that shit into a sick child just because of a lousy $20,000. Very sad.

It is not marketing, it is off a paper which proves a degrading hydrogel got complete regeneration. Btw the paper is pathologically technical, but anyway to go off point for a second, technical detail is 'not' proof. Technical detail is technical detail. It is not always needed. Science is proving something. Eg. if I proved with no technical detail that water freezes at 0 then water freezes at zero.

Mice no hypertrophic scars or keloids generate as humans, they are simpler, so much evidence in humans then fail (although many do not generate human hypertrophic scars), is complicated.
It's incredible that so difficult to get skin regeneration, seems like something karmic as some force sobrentural uses it to punish humans.
I've seen talk of seeking sponsors ... why not enter Chinese forums? They spend millions on treatments for keloid scars that are the kind of scars that have more, translators can use the theme of hydrogel and inform. which by the way I have seen very strong experimental drugs used for these scars which certainly say that if they can stop a keloid can stop any type of scar, although we investigate and know it is not as easy as you can but if you do not stop grow collagen, is a hole.
I can not understand why they are so perverse as sensationalist take a note of type 'cure scars' and then just disappear and not giving any news or anything, really are disgusting. If a dressing is so difficult is out for sale? do not think so ... something wrong there. we bother with emails, is the only thing we can do.
seabs have you been able to find in these years the mechanism of action of topiramate in scars how it works? a great mystery that doctors put aside, I've emptied internet and have not found anything, except those reports we know and we climbed in the forum. I have come to the conclusion that we were wrong, everyone believes that topiramate blocks the collagen and reduces but does not think so. I think what it does is, it replaces the collagen of the scar, which is a different collagen, and then builds the skin collagen, which is what gives skin looks normal, but no sebaceous glands or hair.
It is a dangerous drug even at low doses and also we all know and we know that not everyone works is somewhat complicated.

As it has not removed scars then this would do absolutely nothing for me, I haven't tried it. if you want to use it on your condition, then inform yourself; and get in touch with your Dr.

I agree, although somewhat reduce the appearance of scars would help temporarily to despair of finding something.
about doctors, they wash their hands, some plastic surgeons not only trade are good (I know a few) but can not do anything for me as there is no technology, they tell you clearly that scar revision may be worse.
When the hydrogel is available for sale, I'll go to the doctor and tell him you just want to remove the scar and put the fix in the meantime go and see a waste of time.
Compared to topiramate, will not say whether I used it or use it as evidence at this time or if I'll use it ... for the reason that it is a dangerous drug, what I will say is if one day I get good results, simply i say it, but never tell them to use without going to the doctor, so his seabs good advice.
The news is in australia Verapamil in treatment of scars, news November 2012, this is a drug Verapamil and from which we had already talked for years here well actually I had at least half a decade ago investigated.
If you're interested in different scarless healing drugs you should check the web site of this company:
http://www.rxipharma.com/rxi-109/
They're developing anti-scarring drug RXI-109 and that drug is based on the promising RNAi technology that can downregulate an expression of certain genes (one of the founders of the company is Dr. Craig Mello - Nobel Prize laureate for the year 2006 for his discovery of the RNA interference) and they have decided to target CTGF gene, many different publications from different scientists have identified overexpression of that gene as a key problem of scarring so this is not a case where only one scientist writes craps about TGF-b3 as a key regulator of scarring, and they don't intend to drag clinical trials for that drug for 13 years or so, phase 2 clinical trial will begin in mid-2013, all in all clinical trials for this drug will last about 5 years.
And here are different opinions from investors about that company, their technology and their drugs:

Good contribution Vladislav.
People here who believe in the hydrogel, when they think they are going to be available? many said that being a device would soon be on sale, then said they needed a foundation and money, and now there is simply no more news. What is happening with hydrogel?
A user put a few pages before the hydrogel recipe. I do not know if it achieves with some student to biology or medical researcher can do any imitation of hydrogel would it be possible to make a copy of hydrogel using that recipe? if the answer is yes what professional is trained to do? A biochemist? Or scientific? Or maybe some student? I think we should find other ways to access hydrogel, desperate ways but ways to order ...

The fact that it's a device means it could be approved very quickly if it were to get the funding it needs to finish the clinical trials. The funding is the problem we're currently facing. The JHU team hasn't been able to get the funds they need to finish the trials. That's all we know as of now. Hopefully at the beginning of next year we'll know if they've received funds. If not, hopefully we can help them raise them.

We've mentioned this as well. Not a bad idea as the hydrogel is quite simple to make. The problem is the patent on the formula. I suppose we could take it to some remote country where the patent law is irrelevant. For now though, the JHU team is still doing what they can to bring it to us and we should support them and not throw them under the rug. If time continues to pass and no progress is made and for some reason the JHU team gives up, then this type of thing could possibly be an option out of desperation.
We also have the Chinese team who has appeared to achieve scar free healing with mesenchymal stem cells. As we know, China moves way quicker with these types of things and is also (I think) much more lenient with regards to intellectual property. So that method may be something we pursue if for some odd chance the hydrogel doesn't get funded.

Already talked about stem cells and stem cells are known to regenerate skin does not fit perfectly, but if it serves to regenerate organs. now not on mesenchymal stem cells (or could you explain if you want to put some information).
Let me tell you that a device does not need a lot of money for testing. in other countries many devices come out fda types of gel sheets for scars heal and go as devices and not necessarily have had investment in fact if not invested in testing phase. I think these people are dealing with more than gather 'million dollars' for alleged testing phases to make a simple device for something else ... start to distrust.
