I sent an email to the creators of the hydrogel and I met the secretary and told me that derives the email to the engineer .. but I still missing warned that many years before it goes on sale

can send email to: [email protected]

this is the email answer to my query:

Hello Tom, I have forwarded your email to the engineer and

physician involved. Testing in humans is still several years away.

neutral.gif hydrogel is another scam? (like juvista was).

Sun and Gerecht stated that the hydrogel will be easily mass produced and as it is made of non biological components, it will be approved inside three years

Let's hope they achieve the desired results in tests in humans. *crosses fingers*

Btw, Gerecht is Dutch for dish. A dish as in a plate of food. How do you non-Dutch guys pronounce Gerecht? Guhrect? In Dutch it sounds sort of like this: ggguhrrregggt.

Sun and Gerecht stated that the hydrogel will be easily mass produced and as it is made of non biological components, it will be approved inside three years

U sure? Did they say that in the original article you posted?

Here's what she said in the article:

"It could be approved for clinical use after just a few years of testing."

That doesn't sound like it's going to take forever if succesful to me. Now let's just hope it works! If it does, that would mean this hydrogel is history in the making though. I would be a bit surprised if it does end up being a genuine way to prevent scarring but hey you never know.

They said that roughly, I was paraphrasing on memory heh heh... It should be within a 2.5 years though IMO saying it is a device and that article was a couple of month ago. It doesn't need much approval.

BTW if it can reepithalize a full thickness wound in a 21 day time frame, then that is scar free healing. Scars form way over 21 days. Which was cited in a post above.

BTW regarding Gerecht's name, it sounds German to me 'to be fair.' And I dont know how you'd pronounce it.

Seabs answer this:

then the hydrogel does is prevent cell proliferation? or what it really does is accelerate the proliferation?

if making hydrogel is to inhibit cell proliferation, then what you said to stop fibrosis using decorin is correct.

but what makes hydrogel is to accelerate the proliferation of cells, then the theory of stopping fibrosis for not made scar, is incorrect.

so... what's the answer, inhibit cell proliferation or accelerate it? What makes hydrogel?

thank you.

From my logic, to build a tissue you™d need collagen and cell proliferation, otherwise you™d have a gaping hole in the tissue.

However the problem is when you build to much of the collagen. E.g. when fibroblasts continue to proliferate and lay down collagen over many months, which builds a lumpy white scar tissue.

Regarding the the 21days time frame, if anything reepithilizes tissue inside 21 days, then by logical default it has to stop continuous ˜fibroblast proliferation™ which is how scarring is produced. The end of reepithelization means the key structural remodelling is finished. Also on the same token, hair follicles can then grow in the tissue that means there is no scar, saying that hair follicles do not grow in white scar tissue.

Seperately, regarding decorin, from the logic I have, scars come about because of over intense fibroblast proliferation over many months, and in that time decorin is absent. Where the fibroblasts continue to lay down collagen and build a lumpy mass.

Nothing grows in scar tissue other than scar that is a fact. Therefor you can conclude that if hair follicles and sweat glands grow after wound healing from an injury then logically you can say 'it healed with no scar' by the fact here has been regeneration? Or is that logic wrong?

Hair restoration in the scarred scalp

Scalp injury and scarring destroy hair follicles. Hair does not naturally grow in scarred skin where follicles have been destroyed.

Hitzig stated that. But then later he stated that there is no such thing as scarless healing. He literally said "If anyone tells you it's scarless, that's nonsense.". So he contradicted himself.

No one is able to use ACell in a way which results in complete skin regeneration (yet). I haven't heard any reports of this anywhere. Improvement? Perhaps... But not a reversal of the damage done.

Interesting videos.

Well, if you feel good about it, why not go for it? Go find a decent doctor, have your scars cut out, have ACell put on there and hope for the best? There's risk involved though. You might end up in an even worse situation. Not all reports of ACell have been good (as in not every patient's story is a success story). I know for a fact that one person who allegedly got "butchered" by a surgeon was so unhappy that he had gotten treated with ACell and he's still miserable. I'd only go and do this if you are like that guy and have nothing to lose... Just my view.

Seabs, you think hydrogel is the answer?

As cited this is very exciting for those with full thickness 3rd degree burns, as usually the only wounds that heal scar free in 21 days are light 2nd degree burns which heal on their own.

You know, I told this guy who is deeply unhappy about his hairloss about this hydrogel and he showed no interest. It's weird. I mean you'd think he'd at least go "Oh really? That's interesting!" but no. lol
